  1. Of the currently operating woodies, I have been on 65 out of 126. That is 52%. Of course, I have been on some woodies that have either been removed (Geauga Lake coasters and others) or converted to steel coatsers (Texas Giant, Mean Streak). Out of 463 people who have done this so far, I am at #50 on the list. I am also in the Top 11%.
  2. February 12 & 13 (Liuhou Park/Queshan Park/Longtan Park in Liuzhou, Guangxi, China) I visited Liuzhou city over the past two days. I grew up in southern Ohio and lived two hours from Cincinnati. Liuzhou is a "sister city" of Cincinnati. This made the trip all that more interesting for me. The #19 bus serves all three of the parks I visited. The new Visionland is not open yet. I didn't not even bother to go out to that park. All three of the parks I visited were spotless and the rides, for the most part, looked kept up. I saw no Beston Space Trips here or whatever they were called. I added that because I figured someone on her may ask if I saw any and if they were open or not. Liuhou Park: This park is located near the river in the city center. It is a very nice park with a small collection of rides. It features a kiddie coaster that is similar to the Golden Horse Fruit Worm coasters. It has a sea life motif. The park is very clean. The coaster here became #373 I discovered before ACE or RCDB. Queshan Park: This park is located in the northern part of the city. They added an entire new lineup of rides last year. There is a giant Ferris Wheel. A bog standard jungle mouse is here. There is a large double loop/corkscrew coaster that is similar to a few other coasters I have ridden, but in mirror image form. The first drop is also a bit different. The coaster was not rough, but it was intense through the transitions. Queshan Park is also very clean and nice. Longtan Park: This park is located in the southern part of the city. It has some very nice scenery and a few rides, including a powered coaster. There is a bridge copied after one built in Cincinnati, Ohio. It seems Longtan Park is honoring Liuzhou's sister city arrangement with Cincinnati. Longtan is also a very clean park. If I had more time, I would have spent a few hours wondering around and enjoying the view in the park. In short, I visited three great parks. I was not expecting all three of the parks to be as clean as they are. Usually, each Chinese city has a park or two that is on the decline with several rusted rides. I saw none of this in Liuzhou. My coaster count is now up to 1055 (102 wood/953 steel). My first park in Liuzhou will be Liuhou Park. There are just bog standard rides here like this carousel. There is a coaster here. It is not very big. It is like a fruit worm coaster with a dolphin motif. It is one of 373 coasters I have found before ACE or RCDB. I went to Queshan Park the next morning. They added some shiny new rides last year. Yes! It is another mouse coaster. These are common in China. They have a large double loop and corkscrew coaster here. This one is smooth, but intense. It goes counter-clockwise through the corkscrew. It looks new because it is new. It opened in 2016. This is what it looks like from the Ferris Wheel. My final park in Liuzhou was Longtan Park. This park has some beautiful scenery. There is this bridge in Longtan Park. It is patterned after one built in Cincinnati, Ohio. The city of Liuzhou is a "sister city" of Cincinnati. I am from Ohio. I thought this was interesting. Here is some info on the bridge. There are a few basic rides here as well. There is a small powered coaster here. The Chinese love to put these in their parks. This one is built over the water. This will end the TR.
  3. Other slogans Beston can use: Beston: Because anything else is good quality Beston: Because anything else is addictive Beston: Is a pressful life killing you? Let us help Beston: 3 days without an accident Beston: Unrestrained Thrills Beston Suspended Coaster: Flying through the park Beston Trabant: Gamble with your life
  4. When I have enough money, I will build an entire park to showcase Beston rides. I know there are other manufacturers out there, but I will go with Beston. I hope that doesn't throw anyone off. The Beston Gatekeeper will be the signature ride at my park and I am going to wait until Christmas time to get that discount.
  5. It has just been confirmed that Beston has sold its first Beston Gatekeeper to the Wanda Group. Wanda chairman, Wang Jianlin says "the Beston Gatekeeper will be a thrilling addition to our lineup of rides and will appear at most Wanda parks in our crusade against Disney". Jianlin also said "once we are done with Disney, we are going to invade the American market and the Beston Gatekeeper is going to be a use part of our empire that will eventually swallow up Six Flags, Cedar Fair and other companies in America". Jianlin also went on to say that "Cedar Point's original is no match for a bunch of Beston Gatekeepers".
  6. I actually like the ending of Adventure Express. The reason is that first time riders who do not know any better are expecting a big drop after climbing the lift. Surprising riders should be one of the hallmarks of any coaster. You just know you are in for something wild and then BAM! You are at the end of the ride. It certainly is a memorable ending for the ride even if it doesn't actually do anything.
  7. January 24,2017: Fantawild Dreamland (Xiamen, Fujian, China) I went to Fantawild Dreamland in Xiamen today. My first order of the day, before even buying a ticket, was to ask when Oriental Heritage will open. I was told it will open in March. My first ride was Mount Tanggula. This Golden Horse mine train has seen better days. It was very rough and barely made it back to the station. I once thought Golden Horse might be the class act of Chinese ride designers (despite that they copy everything), but their rides do not age well at all. At least Arrow, Vekoma, Herschell, Pinfari and others can make rides that last 40 years or more. Up next was Stress Express. This is a Vekoma Boomerang. This is my 13th Vekoma Boomerang. According to RCDB, 52 have been built. This means I have ridden 25 percent of all of these coasters built in the world. I like the new restraint system on these rides. It makes them a joy to ride. My last coaster of the day was Terror Twister. This is my second Skyloop. This appears to be the last one built (for now). I can see why none have been ordered in the last four years. This ride is terrible. I hate it. I do not like being held upside down like it holds riders and even though the restrain system is comfortable, I do thing there needs to be a belt to attach to it in case the restraint fails. I am not sure if I will ever go on one of these again or not. Back to the first part of the TR, I hope to be in Xiamen in March if Oriental Heritage does indeed open by then. In closing the TR, I will say that workers at this Fanatwild park seemed to be better at checking restraints. This is going to be my 6th Fantawild Park. This big open area is just inside the entrance. Here is some more Fantawild scenery. These double decker carousels are found all over China. Hey look! It's Hogwarts. They will not let adults ride Worm Around.I am pretty sure the management of Fantawild will roast in hell over this decision. This would be my first ride of the day. It is Mount Taggula. This is a Golden Horse copy of a Vekoma mine train. Here is a photo from my first ride on it. I saw this sign in the restroom. This would be my next ride. It is a Vekoma Boomerang. It is called Stress Express. The boat shoot ride here is very nice. This would be my last ride in the park for the day. Terror Twister is my second sky loop. It may be my last. I do not enjoy these at all. This will finish this TR.
  8. January 21, 2017: Leofoo Village What a great day this was! I visited Leofoo Village in Taiwan. I was not expecting much from the place and yet, I was blown away by the park. The themed areas were excellent. The 3.5 coasters were good. I say 3.5 for this who count Larson Loops. There is one here. I noticed that on Screaming Condor there was no pause holding the train in place on the back spike for a few seconds. They are also running Screaming Condor once every 10-15 minutes to let the ride cool down. That is messed up. I guess there is a reason more parks didn't build this type of coaster. Little Rattler had the longest wait of the day and I can see why. This is a fun ride. Sahara Twister is a fun little spinning coaster. I really enjoyed it. They have done an excellent job here with each area. The Wild West area has actual objects such as a wagon and scales. These are the real deal according to my sources. These are not reproductions. It think authenticity adds to the experience. \ I hope I go back to Leofoo Village someday. I am at Leofoo Village. I am very happy to finally get to this park. This was my first ride here. Sahara Twister became coaster #1045 for me. This park is nicely themed. There is a Larson loop here. Can I count it? Here is the carousel shot for Leofoo Village. They did a nice job with the South Pacific area of the park. This is the nicest looking flume I have ever seen. Little Rattler was the first coaster to be built at this park. This could easily count as a mine train. It had the longest line of any coaster at the park. I took this photo at the top of the lift. Screaming Condor was my next ride. It is next to Little Rattler. Front Spike Back Spike This will finish the TR.
  9. January 19, 2017: Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village I went to Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village today. This park is located near the exact center of Taiwan. the park showcases the different minorities of Taiwan. There are about a dozen or so amusement rides here. There are three roller coasters. Space Mountain is a Vekoma ride that is located in an indoor area with several other rides. Only the loading station has any space themeing. The rest of the ride is in total darkness. It is a fun ride. It became coaster #1043 for me to ride. Up next was Caribbean Splash(coaster #1044). This ride is similar to one located at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in China, but the flume section on this one is shorter. There is also a boat ride called Jurassic Cruise here. It is basically the same ride system as It's A Small World, but it has dinosaurs instead of people from all over the world. It ends on a sour note. The ride has educational value as each dinosaur display lists facts about the dinosaur in the display. I wanted to ride Maya Adventure, a Vekoma SLC, but it was closed today. In all, it is a nice park. It has a decent ride package, which can entertain all members of the family. The only downside is the 1 hour and 45 minute bus ride from the city to get there. Today I will make my first visit to Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village. About half of the rides here are located in this building. I love how this carousel is lit up. This ride is It's A Small World with Dinosaurs. Here is one of the dinos you will find inside. This is an indoor coaster here. The theme ends here. The ride is in the dark. Only the station has a space theme. It was nice to see a western made pirate ship ride. UFO is the drop tower here. A Mack water coaster called Caribbean Splash is here. This ride is shorter than the one at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, although the coaster sections are the same. This ride was closed today. I really like these even if they are a little bit rough.
  10. January 18, 2017: Janfusun Fancyworld I am in Taiwan for a few days and I went to Janfusun Fancyworld today. This park is home to three coasters and to visit, you need to go up one side of a mountain and halfway down the other side. I got to the park at 2pm today. After entering the gate, the first ride to greet me was Diving Machine G5. This B&M diving coaster is a mirror imagine of Oblivion at Alton Towers. Although it is extremely short, the first drop is intense. I made it my first ride today at the park and I was also on the last ride of the day before the park closed a little bit later. Up next was Kuku Coaster. This powered coaster appears to be a custom design. It has been equiped with VR headsets that show a dinosaur themed filmed as people ride. It was my first VR experience. I found it to be interesting, but I also can see where is a way for parks to cheap out. The park is promoting this as a new ride despite the fact that the ride is at least 15 years old. It can be used on older coasters that are no longer popular to increase guest interest, so maybe that is good if it can help coasters have a longer lifespan. Insane Speed is a B&M Floorless coaster. I found it to rattle a bot too much. I also enjoyed some other rides before leaving at 4:30pm to catch the bus back to the train station. As I was waiting by the bus stop, i had an encounter with a beautiful Many-banded Krait. This is the most venomous snake on land. I was within a few feet of it and it paused as I stood very still (other than for taking a photo of it) and then started to crawl away. A minute or two later the bus arrived and my time at Janfusun Fancyworld came to an end. I have arrived at Janfusun Fancyworld. Let's see what is inside. G5 greeted me once I entered the park. Yes. It is a copy of Oblivion. It is short but intense. Wow! A triple decker carousel is here. This was my first experience with VR. I wanted to ride the Ferris wheel, but it was closed today. I will never go on one of these rides. I didn't have time to go in here, but I wanted to. Insane Speed is a B&M floorless coaster and shakes a lot. I love the sight of interlocking corkscrews. This little guy calls Janfusun Fancyworld's public bus stop home. It is a many-banded krait. This one is for the animal lovers. It will also finish off the TR.
  11. January 10, 2017: I made a trip into town to get my camera fixed. As I was waiting, I walked over to the sports complex and found something I was not really expecting to find. I found a small battery powered kiddie coaster. I paid one of the guys who worked there for a spin on it (5 circuits) and took some video footage of the ride. You can view it at the link below. Needless to say, this ride is a total beast. I was absolutely terrified. I thought I would be killed or even worse. I found this place when I wasn't even looking for a park. This small merry go round is just inside the entrance. There is also this little thing. It is a battery powered kiddie coaster. It is located in the shade. It is not very tall. Be sure to check the link to my video of the ride.
  12. November 13, 2016: Liuhua Park in Dongguan I visited this park about three years ago and found a park that was very dirty and dilapidated. The new Dongguan metro system has opened and Liuhua Park got its own stop, so I looked into the possibility that the park may have been cleaned up in the past three years. It has. None of the rides were open three years ago. There was an old powered coaster covered in weeds. This has been replaced by an identical model. The rides here are nothing special, but it has easy access as you can take a metro train from the main Dongguan trains station. I am about to visit Liuhua Park for the second time. This lake is just inside the gate. They have really cleaned this place up. They have new rides. These are found everywhere in China. A new powered coaster has been built. It is a pretty common design and actually replaces an older model of the same type that was here a few years ago. Here is another shot of it in action.
  13. Who killed Geauga Lake? I will go out on a limb here and say that it was Col. Mustard in the library with the revolver.
  14. October 22, 2016: Guilin Merryland I took a short trip this weekend to visit Guilin Merryland. This is a really nice park with several theme areas such as China, the wild west and South Pacific. It is themed really well for a Chinese park and there is a beautiful lake here. There is only one coaster now. It is called Family Coaster and is a Tivoli medium coaster. It was great to ride it. It became coaster #1035 for me. Until recently, there was also a Golden Horse spinning coaster called Magical Wheels, but this has been removed. I do hope the park gets another coaster soon. Hopefully they will go with something that will not be ready to be scrapped after 5 or 6 years. The park is also dirt cheap. It is $23 USD for a one day ticket. Food here is a little over $4 per meal. It is a large park and has a rapids ride and a shoot the chutes. Both get riders wet. The only downside to the park is the location. It is anyway from 90 minutes to 2 hours by bus to the park from the city. As a side note, I was also going to go to Victory Kingdom this weekend, but there is a serious lack of information available for the park. This is not good. I hope to come back to Guilin soon. I will visit Guilin Merryland today. It is actually about 2 hours away from the city of Guilin and is in the middle of nowhere. This park is set against the backdrop of some nice scenery. I love the building for the carousel. Many people were enjoying the pirate ship today. This is the only ride in the Europe section of the park. The rapids ride is well themed. This ride opened shortly after I took the photo. It gets you very wet. Guilin Merryland has an actual Tivoli coaster. This is the real deal. It is not a knockoff. Look at all that Tivoli... Here is the highest point of the ride. It is less than 20 feet tall. This was great to see after so many cookie cutter Chinese coasters. Here is an on ride shot to finish off the TR.
  15. I am not sure if there is any other purpose for the tower except for maybe a shop or food stand at the bottom. That ride was still most of the day. Maybe it wasn't working or something.
  16. This one rode ok. I have not been on the one in Tianjin yet. The overall experience was a step down from the JT in Zhengzhou and other woodies I have ridden in China. It is a smooth ride, but it seemed a bit tame,
  17. October 3, 2016: Fantawild Dreamland and Shennong Park (Zhuzhou, Hunan, China) Fantawild Dreamland: I first learned of this park when I visited Fantawild Adventure next door in 2013. Dreamland was under construction then. It opened less than two months ago and I got to visit it today. I had a great time. I got to ride my first Vekoma Boomerang in nearly 12 years. I was overjoyed at this after so many jungle mice and spinning coasters. There is also a good woodie here with the name Jungle Trailblazer. It is fun, but I like the one at Fantawild Dreamland in Zhengzhou better. The Tune Tour is like Its A Small World, except the scenes are all based on China's culture, cities, history and ethnic groups. It is nice to see the Chinese put their own spin on this concept. It could have just been another tour of the world in a boat. I like the Fantawild Parks, but operations are painfully slow-just like most every other park in China. Shennong Park: This park is in the city center and near the train station. I had some time before my train so I went here. This would be my third visit. A powered coaster has since been added. I rode it and left after a short while to catch my train. I have now visited 510 parks and ridden 1032 coasters and I have found 357 coasters before ACE or RCDB. I have arrived at the new Fantawild Dreamland. I have been waiting for three years to visit this place. This is just inside the entrance shortly after the gates opened. The castle here is very tall. Here is some odd scenery inside the park. Here is the must have carousel shot for this park. The Tune Tour would be my first ride of the day. It is like Its A Small World but themed after Chinese history, cities and ethnic groups. I love how they put a space shot ride on such a tall tower. It has been nearly 12 years since I last rode one of these. It is a Vekoma Boomerang. It is called The Stress Express. It really has been nearly 12 years since the last time I rode a boomerang coaster. How majestic this looks after so long.... I rode it three times. The Jungle Trailblazer became my 101st wooden coaster. It looks like it reaches the sky after so many jungle mice. Almost my turn. Yay!!!!!!!!!! A trainload of riders takes the plunge. Before I caught my train, I made a short visit (my 3rd) to Shennong Park. The parks still has this mouse coaster. This has been added since my last visit. It is a powered dragon coaster. This will finish the TR.
  18. I made my first visit to Taiwan this week and had a great time even though I was there for less than 70 hours (from the afternoon of August 30-the morning of September 2). I visited three parks and found a fourth park that is no longer in operation. I also have given Taiwan a nickname. I call it The Island Of Vekoma because it is an island nation that is infested with Vekoma coasters. Most of the big parks here have at least one Vekoma coaster. That is actually a good thing as I think Vekoma has stepped up its game and it did outlast other companies like Arrow and Schwarzkopf. Here is a run down of the parks I visited: August 31, 2016: Window On China-This park is similar to the Window Of The World parks in China. It features amusement rides and miniature models of the landmarks from a round the world. It features a lot of Taiwan landmarks and was very nice. The rides seem to all be designed for the family. There is a large shoot the chutes ride here and I got very wet on it. There are two coasters. Laser Blaster is an indoor coaster and is a lot of fun. It features and outer space theme. Mini Mine Train is a small Vekoma kiddie coaster like the one at Fiesta Texas. Only two of these have been built according to RCDB. I rode them both. Taipei Children's Amusement Park: This is Taiwan's newest park. It features a roller coaster and 12 other rides. The coaster is fun and could be classified as a junior or family coaster. This park is also very cheap to visit and to ride. Rides cost around $1 USD per person. Currenntly, it is the only operating park in Taipei. I would think the biggest city in Taiwan could support more than one park. Taipei Children's Recreation Center: This is not the park listed on RCDB. This is an outdoor park. It is defunct. I could see it from the Taiwan Metro and it is close to Taiwan Children's Amusement Park, so I stopped to look around. Some rides, including the Ferris Wheel and carousel still stand. Many rides have been removed. I wonder if they ever had a coaster here. September 1, 2016: Lihpao Land-This is one of Taiwan's biggest parks and features Gravity Max. Gravity Max is the world's only Vekom Tilt Coaster. This is a fun ride. I was in the front seat for my first ride. I also found this to be one of the more ridable Vekoma coasters. It seems Vekoma is more than just the European Arrow who built hang and bangs. Gravity Max is a serious ride. It should be a crime that no other park ordered one of these. Mine Express is just like Cedar Point's Woodstock Express and was a lot of fun. I do not consider this design to be a kiddie coaster at all. It is surrounded by trees and is in a beautiful location. Volcano Adventure is arguably a coaster. It features a dry drop just like the Mack water coasters at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom. I had a lot of fun on it. All of the parks seemed to be having a promotion this week. I got in to Lihpao Land for less than 20 USD. I want to go back to Taiwan and visit the other parks here. The people are friendly and the transportation network is very efficient. I have now visited 108 parks and ridden 1029 different coasters. Here is Window On China. This would be my first park to visit in Taiwan. There is a miniature amusement park among the models here. There are a lot of indoor rides here. It has been a while since I have seen one of these. I wonder what is in here...... It is Laser Blaster. It would be the first coaster I ride in Taiwan. Just outside of Laser Blaster would be the second coaster for me to ride in Taiwan. It is a very short coaster. The Ferris Wheel gives a good view of the surrounding countryside. The rapids ride here is a lot of fun. I got really wet on Window On China's biggest ride. I caught a train into the city to visit Taipei Children's Amusement Park that afternoon. The carousel is just inside the gate. You actually get a decent view of the city of Taipei from this ride. The wave swinger has a unique appearance here. The coaster here is called Roller Coaster. It is a fun ride. This sign leads to a defunct park a short distance away from Taipei Children's Amusement Park. This park closed sometime ago. The Ferris wheel is one of the few rides that has not been removed. The carousel also still stands. Wow! Can it be? Am I actually about to go to Lihpao Land? This is what I came here for. It is Gravity Max. I would ride in the front seat for my first ride. This is an excellent coaster. I thought this was a log flume, but it turned out to have a section of coaster track that you can't see from the midway. This is the most poorly executed Ferris wheel yet. The windows had plastic covering that limited riders view of the park. Agggh! This is Mine Express. It has the same layout as Woodstock Express at Cedar Point. Here it is in action to finish the TR. I do not consider this to be a kiddie coaster.
  19. August 23, 2016: Macaojiang Ecological Park (Guigang, Guangxi, China) On August 23, 2016, I went stopped in the city of Guigang to check out Macaojiang Ecological Park. This is a very poor city and it it doesn't have a KFC or McDonald's like other Chinese cities have. There is a nice park near the center of town called Macaojiang Ecological Park. I have known of this park for some time. I knew there were rides here, but I was not sure if it had a coaster or not. I found out during my visit that it does have a very basic jungle mouse coaster. This would be coaster #1023 for me to ride and the 354th coaster I have found before ACE or RCDB. It is a very basic design, but I like this tupe of coaster. Rides here are pretty cheap and it is maybe a 10 minute bus ride from the main train station. It is a nice little stopover if you are traveling within this region of China. I am on the way home from a longer trip and decided to stop in the very poor city of Guigang to visit a small park here. It is called Macaojiang Ecological Park. This is a common site in Chinese parks. There are several rides here. This is a new type of ride in Chinese parks. There is a bog standard carousel here. A large Ferris wheel is here. There is a small mouse coaster here. I never get tired of these. Here is the mouse in action to finish off the TR.
  20. It is true that many of the coasters are the same here in China, but the parks, while similar, are interesting. I do not travel just for parks, but if there is a mediocre park in the city I where I travel, I will check it out. The parks in Kunming were all very easy to get to.
  21. August 20, 2016 (Kunming): Baohai Park-This small park is located a short walk from the Kunming train station. It is a very basic park, but it is nice to spend a little time in. There is a powered coaster here with a few other rides. I rode the coaster, took some photos and left. Xihua Park-It is not close to the Kunming train station, but for everything else, see Baohai Park above. Daguan Park-This park became my 500th park. It is a very nice park and is located on Lake Dianchi. There are three coasters here. They are all like other coasters I have ridden. I tried some Vietnamese food here after riding the coasters and then headed out for the next park. Haigeng Park-This park is also located on the shores of Lake Dianchi. There is a mouse coaster and there used to be a powered coaster. The powered coaster train is on site. This park is very nice and should be visited for the view of the lake. August 21, 2016 (Dali): Erhai Park: This park is located on a hill overlooking Erhai Lake. There is a small powered coaster here. The park experience I had here is comparable to what I had at Xihua and Baohai the day before. August 22, 2016 (Kunming): Yueyatan Park: There is a powered coaster and again, see Erhai, Baohai and Xihua parks to see my experience here. Kunming Zoo: This would be my last stop in Kunming. It is a nice zoo and there are two areas here with amusement park rides. One area has a Golden Horse Spinning Coaster, jungle mouse (not listed on RCDB) and a powered coaster. I rode all three of these and then found the other amusement area. The second area of rides has a new fruit worm coaster. It replaced an older kiddie coaster. This new coaster is not on RCDB. In all, as of August 22, 2016, I have visited 504 parks and ridden 1022 coasters. I have also discovered 353 coasters before ACE or RCDB discovered them. I am in Kunming and will visit my first park. It is Baohai Park. There is a lake here. There are also rides, including this small powered coaster. I took a spin on it. A short taxi ride took me to nearby Xihua park. This park also has a powered coaster and it is the same design as the one at Baohai park. I rode this one too. A short bus ride brought me to Daguan Park. This would become my 500th park. There is a nice flume here. Yes. One of these damned things is here. I have been on a few of these. This one was not as rough as some of the others like it. I rode one of these the day before in Guiyang. It is a fun ride, but a bit rough. Haigeng Park was next. It has a beautiful view of Lake Dianchi. This park used to have a kiddie coaster. They built a mouse coaster recently. It is like many others I have ridden. I like this type of coaster. I have been on a lot of them. I was in Dali the next morning and went to Erhai Park. This nice pagoda is at the top of the hill. There are rides here. This little ride is here. Yes. Another powered coaster on this trip. This is the third one of the trip for me. Here is the train. I have been on many of these. I was back in Kunming the next morning and went to Yueyatan Park. The lake here is nice. There are rides at this park. Yueyatan has a powered coaster too. This is powered coaster #4 of the trip. A taxi took me from Yueyatan park to the Kunming Zoo. I am so sick of these. The zoo has a big Ferris wheel. These types of carousels are common. This mouse coaster at the zoo is not on RCDB. This was during my ride on it. This would be the 5th and final powered Dragon of the trip. I was getting tired of these just about now. This fruit worm coaster at the zoo replaced an earlier kiddie coaster. I have been on others just like it. Many people enjoy this ride. This was from my ride on the coaster. This will finish the TR.
  22. I went to Guiyang twice this summer. I visited one park each time. Hebin Park (June 28th, 2016): This is also called Riverside Park. It is in the middle of downtown and has many rides. There are two coasters here. RCDB lists Spinning Coaster, which is from Golden Horse. There is also a Golden Horse fruit worm coaster here that is not on RCDB. It is one of 350 coasters I have found before ACE or RCDB. The rides here are standard Chinese park fare, but it is a nice park. Guiyang Happy World (August 19th, 2016): This park is in the north of the city and was built on the site of Baiyun Park (White Cloud Park) which used to feature rides before Happy World came into existence. Baiyun Park still exists, but it is much smaller. Guiyang Happy World is gated. Some old Baiyun Park facilities now stand in Happy World. There are three coasters here, but King Of Kings, the inverted coaster is currently closed to replace restraints. I did ride the kiddie coaster and the looping coaster. This is a very nice park, but there is one sour note. Admission is 160 RMB ($24 USD) and gets you a ticket for one ride on each of the attractions. This means one ride only on each coaster. The two coasters I rode today bring my track record up to 1010 coasters. Guiyang Happy World became my 497th park. I am very close to my 500th park and hope to hit it in a day or two. June 28th of this year was imy first trip to Guyang and I visited Hebin Park. This big wheel is inside the gate. There are other rides here too. Yes. They have one of these damned things too. This is at Hebin Park and it is not on RCDB. I got to ride it. They let big kids ride too. On August 19th, I went to Guiyang a second time and visited Guiyang Happy World. This is just inside the gate. Sadly, it is closed to replace the restraints. I have been on others like it. I wish it had been open. I got many photos of it. Here is the first drop. Here is the view from the Ferris Wheel. You can see how big the Ferris wheel is. There is a kiddie coaster here. This one is open. Many people were enjoying it. I took a spin on this ride. There is another big coaster here. It is a loop and cork that is taller and has two loops instead of one. Here is an action shot to finish off the TR.
  23. Nothing is certain in life except death, taxes and Golden Horse Spinning Coasters.
  24. You are correct. The theming is nicely done. They put a lot of work into this park.
