  1. July 4, 2018: Haibin Park and Childrens Park in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Two parks were on the list today. First up was Haibin Park. Haibin means Seaside in Chinese. This parks is located on the edge of the water and features an area of rides. There are two coasters here. First up was Roller Coaster. This is a kiddie coaster and is like several fruit worm themed coasters, but the train does not look like a giant worm. The other coaster was a spinning coaster that is similar to the Golden Horse spinners, but it was not made by Golden Horse. This one feels like it will fall apart any day now. Just down the street, about a ten minute walk away is Children's Park. There are a few rides here, including some very old rides. There is a powered coaster here that appears to have replaced an earlier powered coaster due to several disused footers beneath the ride. Both parks were free to enter and fun. I have now ridden 1144 different coasters and have discovered 429 coasters before ACE or RCDB. I am about to visit Haibin Park. These columns look nice. The park is very beautiful. This will be my first ride here. It is similar to others I have ridden. Another day...another spinning coaster... This one felt unsafe. There is a giant Ferris Wheel here. A ten minute walk down the street brought me to this place. There are several old rides at Children's Park. A powered coaster is here. This coaster appears to have replaced an older coaster. That will finish the TR.
  2. June 28, 2018: Feilai Lake Habi Amusement Park (Qingyuan, Guangdong, China) I went to Feilai Lake this morning and visited the amusement park there. The park is built around a large lake and the rides are on the southwest side of the lake. The rides package is the standard Chinese park collection of rides. There are two coasters here. One is a jungle mouse and the other is a fruit worm family coaster. They became the 1140th and 1141st coasters I have ridden. I have now ridden 1141 coasters, visited 581 parks and discovered 427 coasters before ACE or RCDB. I am at Feilai Lake Habi Amusement Park. Let's go in. Here is the lake that gives the park its name. This bridge looks very nice. There is a mouse coaster here. I am very familiar with these by now. At least these are fun. This is a knockoff of a Japanese design. The haunted house here is a walk through. I just have to include the carousel shot in this TR. It seems that every park has one of these. There is a family coaster here. I have been on several of these. They are pretty basic and have a crossover. This will close out the TR.
  3. I have known for a while that dive machine type coaster from Golden Horse has been in the works. See the attached photo. I live about seven hours from Anshun (a nice little city with some beautiful waterfalls close by) and would be happy to go to this park and share photographs on here, but I am a bit livid towards traveling long distances to visit Chinese parks after the restrictions on coasters that have become more and more common in the last year or so. It seems that enthusiasts (both Chinese and western) can't wrap their feeble little brains around the concept of someone wanting to do a basic thing like ride a roller coaster without dealing with ridiculous policies. I have long said this day was coming.
  4. Diclaimer/Warning/Prelude-The content contained in this TR is meant to showcase parks and to be informative for those who may one day visit the parks or who are just curious about the parks. If you are offended by anything truthful please turn back now and adopt a different set of values. There is no problem with Apu. If anything offends you about this TR, write it on a piece of paper, fold it and stick it up your @$$. April 29, 2018: Xinghai Park and Xintang Park in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China Xinghai Park-This was my first park of the day. It is located very close to Long Dragon Paradise (you will get it if you know a little Chinese). This is a very nice city park with a lake and a lot of greenery. There is a small section of amusement rides here that include a pirate ship and a waver swinger and some kiddie rides. There is a family coaster here. It is like several others I have ridden. It isn't much of a ride, but there seems to be none of the idiotic restrictions that are starting to appear on so many coasters in China. It became coaster #424 that I have discovered before ACE or RCDB. It also became coaster #1138 for me to ride. The Guangzhou Metro stretches out to Xintang, so I finally made it to Xintang park today, only to find that the rides are being removed. It was a four hour round trip on the metro to get there thanks to the numerous transfers. There is really nothing to this park now and as I am telling you that the rides are being removed, it will save those of you who visit Guangzhou from going here. Xintang seems to be a poor area and people there do not seem to be educated. I took a three wheeler to the park and on the way, another three wheeler sideswiped the one I was riding in. I enjoyed the confrontation between the two drivers that resulted when they both stopped at a traffic light. Another thing was the man and woman who were having an argument on the street between what appeared to be a husband and wife. The woman was screaming about money and how he did not have enough to buy her fancy undies. The man knocked the crap out of her. She fell to the street and blood splattered. I do not, I repeat DO NOT have any tolerance for a man being violent towards a lady, but when a woman starts screaming at a man over something like his income, she loses the title of "Lady" and all deals are off. The smackdown today is just more proof that violence against women is sometimes chosen by women. This comes from a married man who has great respect for his wife. I will check out Xinghai Park in Guangzhou this morning. This park looks great. A lot of parks here have a lake. A pirate ship is one of only two adult sized rides here. A wave swinger can be found in most Chinese parks. Here is the coaster. I have seen this layout several times before. The train looks like a giant worm. Here is another shot of the best ride at Xinghai. Here is more kiddie por...er, wait....I do not want to offend a website where rape has been made into a joke... A two hour metro ride, a near fight and a smackdown passed and I arrived at Xintang park. Xintang has a shuttle coaster. Just look at that reverse point. This will finish the TR.
  5. Prelude/Warning/Disclaimer: The following trip report contains the truth and a look at the process that occurs when bringing you a trip report to parks that you may never get to. If the truth offends you in any way shape or form, you need to adopt a different set of values. I do not want to hear overblown accusations of racism, insensitivity or any other BS. I also do not want to hear any craphead remarks from people who do not know the difference between a married person or a single person. The following is my Correct (Not Politically Correct) TR: April 6, 2018: Shampoola Wonder Park (Fogang, Qingyuan, Guangdong, China) I left home on the evening of the 5th and spent the night in Guangzhou. Going to Shampoola is at least a four hour journey from where I live-not counting the layovers between the trains and the buses. I went to the motel in Guangzhou and was told that they did not accept foreigners, so I had to find another motel that did. It is shame that this type of racism is on display so much in China, but I need to be "sensitive" to their BS ways. "We do not accept foreigners"-a phrase I have heard at legitimate motels in NONE OF THE OTHER ASIAN COUNTRIES that I have traveled in. The following morning, I go to catch a bus to Fogang. Fogang is part of the city of Qingyuan, but it is over an hour from Qingyuan by bus. Fogang is also very small and a city bus ride from one end to another takes about 30 minutes. A taxi ride from one end of Fogang to another is less than 10 minutes. Once I was at the park, I bought a ticket for 120 RMB. This is about USD $19.20 that included admission and 180 RMB of rides. It is not a POP, but the 180 RMB allowance will get you at least one ride on most of the rides. You can also pay for extra rides as well once your 180 RMB is used up. The park has a lot of natural beauty and many activities for guests. The amusement rides are standard Chinese fare, but they are enough to entertain guests. There is a nice lake and so on here. A couple of downsides that I have to mention about this place (this is Theme Park REVIEW-not Theme Park VALENTINES) would be the fact that the website is still showing the mouse coaster that was removed in 2017. Showing something on a website or an advertisement is the same as saying they offer it. If they do not offer the product or service, they should remove it from the website. Many parks, regardless of the country do this. The location is another thing. As this park is located far from any population center and the lack of a big coaster, it is probably not going to be included in too many travel plans when enthusiasts visit China. This is a real shame too as the park is in a beautiful location and the resort hotel is very nice and rooms can be had for around 500 RMB (about $80 USD per night). One very sour note for animal lovers involves a small area with gold fish at the park. There are pools that are about two inches deep with large goldfish. I have included a photo of this. The fish just barely fit in the pool and I do not know how they swim around. They did not move (as far as swimming) at all, but I could tell they were real as their fins were moving and their mouths would open. Shampoola Wonder Park is a nice park for the most part and having a big coaster would make me go back there. Like its near namesake, Shampoola is very clean with soap dispensers (actually filled with soap) in the restrooms and there are western toilets in the restrooms. With the addition of a big coaster, Shampoola would be a nice alternative to the "dandruff" that make up the parks in smaller, poorer areas such as Fogang. As I found Shampoola a while back, I have found 419 coasters before ACE or RCDB. I have arrived at Shampoola Wonder Park. There is a lot of natural beauty here. A big lake is in the center of the park. Yes. That is a real fish. Yes. It is still alive. Yes. The water is no more than two inches deep. The haunted house here is a walk through attraction. This is the tallest ride at the park. Moon cars could be considered a coaster. I tried this out at the park. It was my first experience on one of these rides. The Chinese love these. Another day...another dragon powered coaster... Here is another shot of the Gliding Dragon to close out the TR.
  6. Visionland in Liuzhou, Guangxi, China (3/1/2018) I went to Visionland in Liuzhou today. This is an OCT park. OCT is famous for its Happy Valley parks. Visionland is a nice park and Light Speed became my 3rd mega-lite coaster today. It is a fun ride, but it shook a lot in the last car. Flame Dragon is a Golden Horse mine train. I rode it 3 times and it was lousy all three times. It shook too much. I tried it in a different car each time I rode it. Visionland is a cross between a Happy Valley park and a Fantawild park. It has a lot of simulator/theater based attractions like Fantawild does. In all, it is a very nice park............but.........there is potential for disaster-ALL OF THE THRILL RIDES HAVE A 90 KILOGRAM weight limit. Yes. You read that right. Many of the family rides have no weight limit, but the two large coasters that are open, the space shot and the chutes ride all have a 90 kg weight limit. At 98 kg, I was permitted to ride and nobody said anything otherwise-even when I asked. One problem is that the rules posted near the ticket booth only list the height restrictions and say nothing about weight restrictions. After several rides on Light Speed, I asked about this and was told to ignore it. Maybe the weight restrictions are posted to appease the government. Weight restrictions have never been posted at other OCT parks, not even the new Chongqing park, but I have noticed this type of thing becoming more common. Make a note of this before visiting Visionland. You may be turned away or you may get to ride. Know before you go. As the 90 kg policy exists for the mega-lite, we now know it is not a safety issue. For those who want to scream that OCT owns the park and can do whatever they want, here is something to think about-In Letter The Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther King Jr. mentioned that black kids were not allowed to go to the amusement park. By the logic of some people, whites built the parks and can turn away whoever they want. Whatever the case may be, these types of restrictions here in China are becoming more commonplace. For those wanting to experience Chinese culture, I suggest Taiwan. Taiwan proves that Chinese people can and do operate parks without useless policies. I am going to go to OCT's new Visionland Park today. This will be my first ride of the day. Light Speed became my 3rd Mega-lite. This is the turn at the bottom of the first drop. I hope an American park will get one of these. This is my favorite Intamin ride. Notice the 90 kg weight limit. My 98 kg frame didn't break the coaster during the 8 rides I took. The bumper cars have an interesting name. The Eye of Liuzhou provides views for miles. It is time for the kiddie coaster. Adults are not permitted to ride. Here is some of the scenery in the park. There is a fun virtual reality ride in this building. This is some type of launched coaster. It is under construction. You can see the track here. I wonder if this ride will ever open. The chutes ride was closed today. Here it is...they are now applying weight limits to chutes rides. Flame Dragon is a Golden Horse mine train. This shook too much. I tried three rides and it was misery each time. Here are the rules for Flame Dragon. Once again, there is a 90 kg weight limit. This will finish the TR.
  7. February 28, 2018: Nanning Wanda Paradise I am visiting a few parks in Guangxi province before the new semester starts next week. I went to Nanning Wanda Paradise in the city of Nanning today. I was expecting to find a family entertainment center. What I actually got was a nicely themed indoor park with a roller coaster, two water rides, drop tower, bumper cars, pirate ship, carousel and a few other rides. In short, the park has a pretty complete ride package for such a small park. You can choose to pay for each ride and enter the park for free. Phoenix Adventure is from Golden Horse and became coaster #1132 for me to ride. It is also my first coaster with a drop track. The drop is a bit abrupt, but not too bad. I am happy to see a Chinese manufacturer latch onto a new gimmick so soon. Golden Horse has a lot of possibilities if they continue to work at it. Phoenix Adventure is a nice family coaster and the park is nicely themed. Best of all, the new Fantawild Park is less than a mile away and when Fantawild opens, enthusiasts can visit Fantawild from morning until close and then go to Wanda, where the rides operate until 10pm. I am at the Wanda Theme Park in Nanning today. It is an indoor park. The drop tower looks great. This flume is one of two water rides in the park. The other water ride is a rapids ride. Phoenix Adventure is the only coaster here. It is a nice coaster for the whole family. This will finish the TR.
  8. China 1st Beach (February 9, 2018)-Maoming, Guangdong, China I visited China 1st beach today. It is south of the city of Maoming and is a very nice beach with 85 years of history. They have resort hotels, restaurants, a small collection of rides and other facilities. This beach, although located out of the way, is very nice. The rides here alone are not worth going out of the way for, but the entire place is. In other words, do not go for the rides, go for the experience. I have arrived at China 1st Beach. It was established in 1933. This is the beach. It looks nice. There are some rides here. A walk through is here. More basic rides are here. A powered coaster called Gliding Dragon is here. It is a common twin helix design. Look at the Beston Top Spin which is SBNO in the back ground. It is starting to rust, but it is still operating. This will finish the TR.
  9. February 7, 2018: Zhongshan Park in Enping, Jiangmen and Jinshan Botanical Garden in Yangjiang, Guandong, China I started the day off early in Enping, in western Jiangmen city and went to Zhongshan Park. This is a very old park and is a bit rundown and dirty. There are a few rides here, including a powered coaster. There is not much to this park, except it is to entertain the locals. After Zhongshan Park, i left Enping and took a two hour bus ride to the city of Yangjiang. I visited Jinshan Botanical Garden here. Where Zhongshan Park was very dirty and old, Jinshan was very clean and new. There are some rides in the southeast corner of the park. One is a mouse coaster. I rode it, took a few photos and left. Jinshan Botanical Garden is very nice, but as with Zhongshan Park, there is also not much here, but at least the scenery is beautiful. I am in Enping in western Jiangmen. I will visit Zhongshan Park this morning. This is Sun Zhongshan. The lake here is a bit dirty. There is a powered coaster here. It is not very tall. I got to ride it. A two hour bus ride took me west to the city of Yangjiang. I will go to Jinshan Botanical Garden. This lake is very nice. There are some rides here. One of these common jungle mouse coasters is here. Here is an onride shot to finish the TR.
  10. February 8, 2018: Xinhu Park in Maoming, Guangdong, China This old park is in western Guangdong. It recently went through a renovation and all of the rides were replaced with new rides. There is a common jungle mouse here and two powered kiddie coasters. There is also a nice flume ride. The park is located in the city center in Maoming and is a nice place to relax. A couple of downsides are that the kiddie coasters, depsite having photos that show adults riding, do not seem to carry adults...or maybe they just found it strange that I would want to ride them. They said it would break the ride. Seriously. The other downside is that the big rides are a bit expensive. It was 30 RMB (currently USD $4.80) for the mouse. I found this park before ACE or RCDB a few years ago, but did not visit until now. I have now ridden 1130 coasters and found 411 coasters before ACE or RCDB. I have arrived at Xinhu Park. I love the entrance to this place. This neat bridge is in the park. This lake is in the park. Ahhh yes...a jungle mouse. Coaster #1130 for me to ride. It is like so many others I have visited. A nice flume is here. I took this picture while boats were going down both drops. Here is the carousel shot for this place. This is a walk through attraction. The park has this little kiddie coaster. They will not let adults ride-despite having a picture of adults riding with kids. They told me that it will cause the coaster to come off the track. The park also has the kiddie coaster and again, adult passengers are shown on the ride, but I was denied a spin. Here is another look at this to finish the TR.
  11. Here is a behind the scenes history lesson. Black people in the south were involved in the confederacy. Their involvement was similar to women during WWII. During the Civil War blacks in the south built roads, worked at a naval plant (making up about 3/4 of the workforce) and some even served in the army under Robert E. Lee. I always thought Kings Dominion was cool for having the Mason Dixon Music Hall (which the name has not been used in years) and Rebel Yell. This could serve to educate guests about history. I knew nothing about the history of Texas, other than music and the Alamo, until I visited Six Flags Over Texas. The revision of history is causing a loss of IQ points. Confederate names and monuments aren't offensive in the least.
  12. There was a time when young people marched to war and faced an uncertain future. Today, we have to rename a roller coaster to avoid hurting peoples feelings.
  13. I am not drunk. I am just stating a sad truth. As a country, AmeriKa has had it so easy that we have to invent things to be offended about. I have visited the south many times and I can tell you that southerners (both white and black) have a lot to be proud of. Heritage is heritage PERIOD. There was also other causes the south was fighting for besides slavery. We also can't support anything without it being connected to something screwed up somehow.
  14. I would love to ride this. I do not see how it would be any different in terms of capacity than other go-kart tracks. This is certainly more for a local go-kart complex than a major park.
  15. By the way-I love the name Apple Zapple for a family coaster. It shows some creativity. Racer 75 is offensive and makes me want to vomit. Losing the Rebel Yell name because of its connections to the south is like banning Kwanzaa due to crime in black neighborhoods. I hope people get the point of what I am saying. Nothing is perfect.
  16. Okay....here is my take on this. We can get rid of the Rebel Yell name, but let's get rid of Kwanzaa as well (due to crime in black neighborhoods). If one group can't have its heritage, nobody can. This is only fair. Let us get rid of the AmeriKan flag at while we are at it. What the country has become is offensive to me. Snowflakes run everything. Snowflakes have given the country away. Understand that my comments come from someone who is from the north and who is proud that Ohio fought on the side against the confederate army. With that being said, there were no real winners as the result of the Civil War. God Bless Johnny Rebel.
  17. I think the top and bottom levels of the carousel spin in opposite directions. This is Happy Valley park # 7 and park # 11 for OCT. An 8th Happy Valley is being built, which will bring OCT's park count to 12 parks. I have been 8 of the 11 parks.
  18. January 22, 2018: Happy Valley and Foreigner Street in Chongqing Happy Valley: This is the newest of the Happy Valley parks. It opened in 2017. It is a large park with four coasters. My first coaster of the day was Family Coaster. This was my first family boomerang coaster from Vekoma. I would love to see more of them built. Mine Train Coaster was next. This uses a new track design and it is a big improvement over the previous Golden Horse built rides. Flying Wing Coaster from B&M was closed. I was told it was due to the cooler weather. With that being said, the rapids ride and shoot the chutes were both open. Jungle Dragon is a GCI wooden coaster and is located on a hill in the park. This became wooden coaster #104 for me to ride and coaster #1122 for me to ride in total. It is easily one of the best wooden coasters I have ever ridden. It is well worth the trip to Chongqing. One downside to my visit to Happy Valley was....the crappy operations. This painfully slow operations caused me to go ahead and leave after a couple of rides on Jungle Dragon and that leads me to part 2 of this TR. Foreigner Street: This is more of an area with a bunch of stand alone attractions and a few small, gated parks. The park makes me think of what Coney Island in New York used to be as it is exactly that. A mix of parks and stand alone rides and attractions. a person could easily spend a small fortune here riding the numerous rides. It was also very busy here. It was nice to see this after visiting an empty Happy Valley earlier in the day and visiting an empty Fantawild park the day before. This would finish my visit to Chongqing. I have now ridden 1127 different coasters. I will start the day at Happy Valley. It is the newest Happy Valley park. The Eye of Chongqing is just inside the gate. The mine train from Golden Horse is also near the entrance. Notice that the track is different on this one. It actually is an improvement. This would be my first Vekoma Family Boomerang. It is called Family Coaster. It is an interesting ride. It would be neat to see more of these. Here is the carousel shot for the park. The rapids ride looks great, but it was too cold to ride it. It was also too cold for this thing too. Here is the Wing Coaster for Happy Valley Chongqing. It looks like a great coaster, but I was told they will not open it in the cooler weather...but they opened the water rides. It is called Flying Wing Coaster. It is too bad it was closed today. The thrill is on the hill... Meet Jungle Dragon. It is a great ride. It is one of the best wooden coasters I have ever ridden. I have arrived at Foreigner Street. They have a powered dragon with a custom layout. It circles a flume ride. There is also a space car coaster. They gave me 8 circuits on this one. Here is Foreigner Street's biggest carousel. This is clearly a knockoff ride. A Golden Horse Moto Coaster is here. They let us ride twice. I rode this Spinning Coaster. I was afraid it would fall apart. I like this design, but I think the Golden Horse spinners are better. I have not seen a coaster like this one before. It is a Chinese made mine train. I wonder if there are anymore like it. The bottom of that drop is painful. My back bounced of the back of the seat. This will finish the TR.
  19. As I have ridden both, I can tell you how they are-about the same. Seriously. There are a few difference on the two rides I have ridden. On the Chinese version, there is a u-turn out of the station to go to the lift. On the Pinfari one, there was a right turn out of the station to go to the lift.
  20. January 21, 2018: Chongqing Amusement Park and Fantawild Sci-fi Park Chongqing Amusement Park: This park has been around for a while. It has a lot of rides, including a Golden Horse Spinning Coaster and Roller Coaster (double loop and cork). As it had rained several hours before my visit, Spinning Coaster did not open today, but Roller Coaster did. It is like several others I have ridden. It is a bit rough. It became coaster #1118 for me to ride. This park is easily accessible from the Chongqing metro. That is a big plus for this place. Fantawild Sci-Fi Park: This park is notable for being the first Fantawild park ever. It has a Golden Horse Spinning Coaster and unlike the one at Chongqing Amusement Park, this one was open today! It became coaster #1119 for me to ride. There used to be a fruit worm kiddie coaster, but has been removed. It is the first coaster to be removed from a Fantawild park. This park is a bit small and is a bit faded. Most of the mechanical rides have either been removed or are SBNO. The theater based rides are still open as are the carousel and the coaster. One of two things will happen here. One is that the rides will be replaced with new rides and buildings will be given a new paint job or the other thing is that the park will close. The park is surrounded by hotels, apartments and is next to a shopping center. It would seem that this land would be very valuable by now and with the lack of a crowd today, it seems this park may not get much business. It has no room to grow. It became the 8th Fantawild for me to visit. I like Fantawild parks and hope this one is not closed. My first park of the day is Chongqing Amusement Park. Here is the carousel shot for this park. A 5-D ride is here. Spinning Coaster was closed today due to it raining several hours earlier. This was open today. Here is one corkscrew on the ride. Here is the other corkscrew. It is a tall coaster. My next park was Fantawild Sci-Fi Park. It was the first Fantawild park. Dino Rampage is a nice ride through similar to Spider-Man and Transformers, but has dinosaurs instead. This was inside a large building. The fruit worm coaster has been removed. This is first coaster to be removed from a Fantawild park. Here is the carousel at Fantawild Sci-Fi Park. Spinning Coaster here is open despite it raining several hours earlier. Here is one more look at this spinning coaster to close out the TR.
  21. January 20, 2018: Linhe Happy Park (Hezhou, Guangxi) I went to Linhe Happy Park in Hezhou today. This is a new park that opened in 2017. The park is a bit far out of the city, but it is very nice and has a great collection of rides. There is a really smooth mouse coaster here and some kiddie coasters. The one you will all be talking about though, is Roller Coaster. Roller Coaster is the Chinese take on Pinfari loopers. It is intense and a bit rough and the first drop is very steep on it. While the ride experience is less than desirable in some ways, it is nice to see Chinese companies stepping outside their comfort zones a bit. It is neat to see five coasters in a park in China without most of them being the common knockoffs like powered dragons and spinning coasters. This park visit brought my coaster count up to 1117 coasters and now I have discovered 406 different coasters before ACE or RCDB. Here is Linhe Happy Park. It opened in 2017. Let's go in. The mouse coaster is just inside the gate. It is a fun ride. Here is my onride shot of the Fruit Worm powered coaster. Spinning Coaster would be my first ride on one of these types of family coasters. It is a fun ride. A common space car is here. A giant Ferris wheel is here. Another coaster is here. I haven't seen a Chinese made coaster like this before. It looks like a Pinfari coaster, but it is not. It is an intense ride. It has a very steep first drop. This will finish the TR.
  22. I checked out the 2017/2018 edition of The Great European Carnival on Wednesday in Hong Kong. It is the fourth year in a row for the carnival to visit Hong Kong. I had a great time. I like how the ride lineup changes every year. This year, a spinning coaster from Zamperla called Crash Test is there. It felt a bit like a crash test, but it was nice to ride the real thing for a change. In fact, all of the rides there appear to be the real deal. I noticed the rides seemed to be put together better and had more sophisticated wiring systems in place than the mainland Chinese rides. There was also none of this nobody above 5'7" or who weigh more than 80 kg are prohibited from riding a coaster. It was just sensible operations throughout my visit. After that, it was back to the mainland to issue more failing grades to students as the result of my new classroom policies that have been put in place as the result of the Romon-U Incident. I am about to check out the latest edition of The Great European Carnival. Just inside the gate I found Spiral Slide #1... This wacky worm is called Family Roller Coaster. It is a newer model than the one at past carnivals. There did not seem to be as many rides this year and most of them are family rides. River Rafting is a portable rapids ride. Yes!!!!! A large coaster is here! Look up in the sky...it's a Golden Horse....no...Beijing Jiuhua...no wait! It's the real thing from a western manufacturer. It is called Crash Test. It felt a bit like it's name, but at least I didn't have to deal with mainland Chinese BS to ride it. That will finish the TR.
  23. One more ride restriction I have learned of is that riders have to be at least 16 years old to ride Euro Express. Why in the hell did they even bother to build this ride if it can't accommodate anyone?
  24. December 17, 2017: Guanyinshan National Forest Park/Huangjiang Peoples Park/Dalang Lixiang Wetland Park 2017 is almost over and I decided to make one last park outing before the calendar changed to 2018. I visited three parks in Dongguan. Two of these parks are parks that I had never been to before. Guanyinshan National Forest Park-This was my first park today. It is located on a mountain. There are seven rides here. There is a jungle mouse that is just like the one at Kuishan Park in Shanwei, also located in Guangdong. This particular design features a helix. The car does not track well through the helix section. It is very bumpy. This became coaster #1109 for me to ride. Huangjiang Peoples Park-I visited this park in 2011. Most of the rides have been swapped out and the wave shuttle has been removed. The jungle mouse is still here. I rode it and then left. This park was on the way to the next park I would visit, so i popped in to see what had changed in the past 6.5 years. Dalang Lixiang Wetland Park-This park is a nice area in the middle of nowhere in Dongguan. It is not that close to any big towns and seems a bit away from civilization. This is the nicest park I visited today. There is an area of rides with a very common jungle mouse. It became coaster #1110 for me to ride. I had fun today, but I will say that only Guanyinshan seemed to have decent access. It a couple miles from a train station in the town center of Zhangmutou in Dongguan. Huangjiang and Dalang Lixiang Wetland Park have poor transport links. It was very hard to find bus stops as some bus stops are not marked. This is also my last TR for 2017. All three of the coasters I rode today are among the 402 coasters I have discovered before ACE or RCDB. I have also ridden 1110 coasters and visited 564 different parks. I will start off today at Guanyinshan National Forest Park. There are rides here. There are in nearly every Chinese park. A mouse is here. It is a bit different from most of the others I have ridden. It has a helix. It still rides the same as the other models-despite having a different layout. It is about one year old. A 20 minute cab ride took me to Huangjiang Peoples Park. Many of the rides have been replaced with new rides since my first visit in 2011. The coaster is still here. Dalang Lixiang Wetland Park would be my last park of the day. I wonder is this large lake is how the park got it's name. There is a small area with rides here. Yes!!!!! This will be my third coaster today. I like the paint job on this one. This coaster features the common jungle mouse layout I am familiar with. I will close this TR with a look at Dalang Lixiang Wetland's haunted house.
