In todays paper it says they finaly got a proposal and just have to get the judges approval. So hopfuly this will bring good news.

I am still planning for this summer but this is what I got so far I will go to Cedar Point Geauga Lake Waldermeer Kennywood Maybe Six Flags Darien Lake Martins Fantasy Island Lakemont Coney Island I also hope to go back to running the Bluestreak at Conneaut Lake Park this summer. I really hope they open.

The problem with some Ops. is Doing there jobs to fast. They should go slower so everyone can be safe. Because when me and my family went to kennywood last year my mom went on the phantom revenge and as it was going up the lift she noticed her lap bar was open and she pulled it down. She could have been hurt if she did not notice before they got to the top.

I don't think so because most parks would not get the staff the need. Maybe more training and lessons in guest service. I take the job seriously I cheak Restraints twice and make sure everyone enjoys their day.

Don't know if you are still interested but if you are. I work at Conneaut Lake Park. It's a small park in northeastern PA. Working as a ride Op is very fun. You can have fun and meet girls I got at least 3 Numbers a week. But you will ocasionaly get a$$ Holes that will compain about every thing. I worked there for two years last year I got in for the last 2 weeks. I wasn't supposed to becasue I was only 15 but they were short handed. This year because I was only 16 I was supposed to work in kiddyland. But I managed to get out and run the bigger rides. I also got to learn every ride ( Not common even if you are 18). At the End of the year the Bluestreak was my ride. And I was assistant Supervisor for the last couple weeks. If you go for it put saftey first. Because if somthing happens. Parks will normally find a away to blame it on the ride op. It is very fun and you should go for it.

Lets change it to all park items because that is what it is starting to get to.

Yes they did but the Op. that was put on it saturday just did not care to lower the break before running it. I was at the den training someone when it happened. I heard a crash and looked the ride went around once and twisted the break the second time it sent the break flying into the parking lot almost breaking the wind sheild of the head mechanic. It also move the ride almost two feet. Shortly after he got fired and had to have a meeting with the park manager and the mantmence department. When I talked with one of the mantmence the other day he said it will take $2,500 for a new break and $900 to take it apart and look for more damage. They will probly have to send it back down to Kentucky for repaires.

Sadly I don't see the return of the witche's stew after the damage it recived during pumpkin fest. Outside the park gates a man has bought land on the north side of the park and is building a major resort. He also bought that trashy trailer park across the road from the park and got rid of it. So now the road will look nicer. This same guy wanted to buy it a few months back. He wanted to buy it for 20 million. And invest 50 million toward new rides and attraction(imagine what they could have got for that much). But court apointed overseer turned it down becuase he said he did not want the park to grow that big(WTF). It would have been saved.

I have done some stupid things but I will never do anything to interfer with saftey or get anyone upset. When I went to Erieveiw. The week before they closed. When me and my 7 year old brother went to ride the bumper cars we were greeted with the least respect. When we approched the ride Op. was awymaking out with her boyfriend. We got in line and she ignored us so I said hey we would like to ride. When she got over to let us in she tried saying my little brother was to short. I said no he is not we just checked. And she said I can't let him on. and I said why not he is tall enough and has a wristband so I don't see the problem. and she said al right then but I am not supposed to. and I said I do think your supposed to. No wonder that place closed And second was at a fair on the musik Express. Because the Op. had it in his mind that there were no single riders. But there were single riders. But who dosen't have problems with carnies.

Mine was mostly Conneaut Lake Park almost every day. And running the Bluestreak the last few weeks. I also went to waldermeer, Busch Gardens Europe, and Cedar Point. BGE Train CP Demon Drop CP Skyline BGE In the woods behind the Bluestreak.

It is like an early version of Mean Streak minus the nurse at the exit Platform. I thinkthey need one.

That is good they do that. This one time My freind was Running the Roll-O-Plane at CLP and did not find loose change but a bag of crack.

Just Curious have you ever seen a ride op doing somthing stupid or unsafe?

Conneut Lake Park is on the verge of dieing.There are a couple reasons for it. First is the Compition from waldermeer and it will be worse when they add the Revine Flyer. Second is not enough advertising. There are people as close as Meadville who don't know the park is there. And third Manager they apppointed is not people friendly. Every other day there is a comment in the meadville Tribune from someone who visited the park. and 50% are negative. Like this one that a lady said she went to the park with her kids and let them ride two rides then went home to eat and returned to the park at 7:45 and found out they were closing at 8 when we were sopposed to close at 9. SHe said somthing to the manager and he said it's not my problem and he should not have said that. He should of gave them free passes or at least explaided why they had to close early.
