XD EDIT: Just checking to make sure I knew what the filter kicked in on

My top 3, Cedar Point, SFMM coming from the north, and La Ronde. All intimidating in the way they dominate the area around them. And since no one has posted a picture yet.........

Ooooh, Jahan, I was at the park the same day as you. I too was amazed at the lack of crowds. I mean, I've never NEVER seen that few people there on a Saturday. A few notes. 1. We actually thought the new Space Mountain overlay was "not bad", the "in the dark" version is better, but I thought they at least did a good job of blinding you with lights so you couldn't see some of the track elements. Way slower feeling though. It was an ok change from the usual, however I'm glad it's only temporarily. I sound like i'm contradicting myself. but I think you get me. 2. We thought the California Screamin overlay was an enhancement for the ride. We didnt' have any music distortion or blown speakers in our train when we finally got a ride (We were sitting in the train in the station when it went down with the red train on the lift, they were putting a 3rd train on, and it overshot the brakes in the transfer track). That said, the music could definitely be synched up a little more. There were some elements that didn't really go with the music at all. 3. We didn't try to watch the fireworks even though I love the show. We had been on Big Thunder Mountain shortly before that and could feel how much the wind was blowing up on top of the mountains, and figured it would be cancelled. So we staked out a place for 9:00 Fantasmic instead (only 20 min before the show, and we still got a spot in the roped off area). C'mon, you're telling me you don't understand that the park structures block most of the wind at ground level?? Anyways, would have been funny if we ran into you there. I'll add a couple pics that sum up our day. Anyone know what they're doing behind this wall? Are you sure it's Saturday??? What's with all the crazy huge hats they're selling now? I didn't even have to wait in line to see Eeyore........a first Looks pretty, even if it was freezing. The HS band I work with every morning (It's Santa Monica, but I was too slow taking the picture to get both lines in)

^I like Xcelerator overall much more, but I will say that TTD beats out Kingda Ka easily for me. The bunny hill on KK really doesn't provide much airtime, and the seats on TTD just leave you feeling more vulnerable, upping the adrenaline level.

Either the park operations guy was putting on the superlatives for the film crew, or he's seriously deluded. I also thought it was funny that he thought the only way to get people in the gate was to build a bigger, badder, faster coaster. I guess he hasn't been watching the trends in the industry that closely.

Awwww.....I'm cut out of the kiddie coaster picture. I knew it Robb, you're anti-nose picking. You need to be more tolerant of my people.

What's weird is that everyone always complains about the painfulness of the G-trains, and I've yet to experience that. I guess maybe my body shape is just right or something?

I don't know about that. They seemed to have done a really good job with Ghostrider's retracking this year. On top of that, Blue Streak was great after it got retracked. I heard Raging Wolf Bobs is a lot better since being retracked. I don't know where the rumor came that they don't know how to retrack a ride. I just think they don't do it often enough to keep them all rideable. Mean Streak and Hercules were a different story. They were tearing themselves apart and they had to do something to make them regularly operable, thus the "butchering" I wish they would send Mean Streak the same way as Hercules.

Or go to EB Games on a Friday morning before opening, or a Best Buy on a Sunday about 30 min to an hour before opening. Best Buy has been holding them until Sundays since that's when their circular ads "sales period" starts. That's how I got mine. Showed up to Best Buy (best to find the less popular ones) at store opening.

Nice, I'll be getting some more rides on the DBH here over Xmas. The only time I've been to Boomers, there was a lot of people there. You had to wait a couple trains to get on. Every single row was full. Of course I was there on a Saturday afternoon when the whole place was busy. Oh, and I LOVE "Taco........... in a Bag". We used to have it on drum corps tour. Basically you get a bag of doritos or fritos, put the taco meat lettuce, cheese, sauce, and whatever else you want on a taco, inside the bag, then hold it shut and shake it. Then use a fork and eat it right out of it. Stupid, but tasty.

^^Especially when they pay their employees crap, don't give benefits, leave old stores to rot, muscle out the smaller stores, and bully their suppliers.

The ones sent to me don't show up in the Mii parade though, but they are in my plaza. How weird........ Mine are all set to Mingle

I haven't been to this mall since 1996, and back then I didn't get on any of the rides, so I'll definitely try to plan a trip there in the next few years with the addition of this one.

I finally got a Wii yesterday at Best Buy. I lucked out and two of the people in line were just there to get more Wiimotes. Thus I got the 2nd to last system. It rocks. I can't wait to get home and play more Zelda.
