  1. Great pictures. I bet it stays closed for the rest of the season. It is SFMW after all.
  2. Hershey Park is offering a 100,000 dollar scholorship for the winner of it's contest to design the best coaster. I think that this is a great idea since many children love coasters and have RCT. I wonder if they will actually use the winners design... Dave "might enter the contest" White
  3. I think that the child should have been taken off too cause clearly she was in distress. As for the amputee I think that he should be able to ride only certain types of coasters for safety reasons. Obviously Montu being inverted would be a restricted one.
  4. ...still save those tickets stubs. I would love to know where everyone is planning to go this second half of the summer.
  5. I totally agree with you on this. Wood coasters are supposed to be "rough" which contributes to that woodie sensation. As for steel, they must be smooth. Personally I think that any steel coaster that is not smooth is not worth it. But I do not mean smooth in tons of inversions. I mean it in the track. Dave
  6. I will do that promptly CF. It will probably be there by early next week. Could you please tell me what you have?
  7. I would love to go, but since I live in PA and I am 15 I do not think it is happening. Hopefully you guys can hold one on the East Coast for all the East Side members. Maybe at SFGADV or SFNE
  8. You should not have a problem at all with the lines. Definately hit all the coasters. Potatoe Patch is like top fries place of amusement parks. Corn dogs are also a favorite at the park. Enjoy the trip. I have been there two times and have not been dissapointed.
  9. #?) Do not cut in the single riders line. I saw this happen two times at IOA and it made me so mad. They would just walk right past us and cut in near the entrance.
  10. Kennywood: You will have no problem getting on as many of the rides you want. Only on a bad day you will have a long line for PR. All the woodies are usually a small wait except for jackrabbit which can take 30 minutes. As for carry ins, they are very easy to work with. I do not know if you are allowed to bring in glass... Hershey: Storm Runner is a long line. Also Rapids can back up on a long day. The other coasters will have average waits. Lightning Racers and Super Duper Looper always have a short line. As for carry ins I do not remember the policy. Dorney: I have not been there since Hydra has opened so I can not give you that scenario. Talon and Steel Force both are about 25-45 minutes depending on the day. Feel free to email me for more info at ddaver177@aol.com for more info since I am very familiar with these parks.
  11. Thanks to everyone so far who has posted. I really appreciate it. Still, I am looking for ticket stubs from parks in US and around the world. Please post what you have...
  12. Any ticket stubs, fast pass stubs, old season passes, or old aps would be greatly appreciated. I will gladly take them all.
  13. Hello I am looking for park ticket stubs for my collection. I would greatly appreciate if you could save your ticket stubs and send them to my address: Dave White 609 Portland Dr. Downingtown, PA 19335 Thanks alot Dave Please email me or reply to post if you want to send me some. Any would be greatly appreciated.
  14. I think that Dueling Dragons is ausome at night. As your riding up the lift hill you get a breathtaking view of International Drive and both IOA, Universal Studios and the City Walk. It is a one of a kind view.
  15. You will be able to do Hershey in a day. Especially in September... I think that your longest wait will be 15 minutes. I have been there 5 times during the summer and it is not bad at all. Have fun
  16. Howdy All!! This is the scenario. I am going down to Florida for a National Basketball tournament that my team is in. We have one free day which is Wednesday. I am looking into either doing IOA or Busch Gardens. I have never been to Florida before so I want to hit the best first. 1) Can you do IOA in a day? What rides are tought to get on? 2) Does anyone know anyway to get discount tickets to IOA? 3) Can you get a ticket combination like go one day and come back one evening at a low price? 4) Are there any restaurants in the Orlando/Disney are that you would recommend to a kid that is 15 and his dad? 5) I am hearing that Disney is too much to do in a day... What part of disney would you reccomend to do if you had one day? 6) Anything cool to do in the Orlando area for half a day?(since I will have a lot of half days open)? 7) Is Busch Gardens usually crowded on the weekdays? 8) Those that have rode Sheikra...is it worth it...or is IOA the better pick? Please give me some info on this guys and gals. Always Appreciated, David
  17. I am interested in starting a coaster club or a group of people that would go to different parks in the area on weekends, and also maybe a big trip each season. I am only 15 so we would need some older people in the club. If you are interested please reply. Or if you know of any clubs in the are let me know. Thanks, Dave
  18. Never been down there, but I will love to ride Sheikra along with Montu. I am coaster crazy!! What is you AIM?
  19. I am going down July 9-16. I plan to go to IOA or BGTB or both.
  20. Are there any Vekoma's at Hershey, Dorney, CP, Kennywood, SFGADV, BGW, or IOA?
  21. I do not understand all this discussion on Vekoma rides... I am looking for someone to give me some basic info on this.
  22. Sounds like you guys are having a great trip. I enjoyed reading all the TR's so far. I just received my DVD's in the mail today and I really enjoy watching them. Hope you guys have some great weather in the upcoming days. Shoot the Mexicans is being built in my basement. I wish it was.
  23. First off hit Superman. If not you will waiting in a 2+ hour line. Go to Nitro around 5 or 6. During the rest of the day check out Scream Machine and Medusa. Medusa breaks down sometimes, but when it is up its great. Have FUN!!!
  24. I can help you out with the site. I am very familiar with setting up sites of Free Webs. I can also provide pictures. My AIM is ddaver177. AIM me if interested or email ddaver177@aol.com
