  1. I checked out the rest of the photos from the website. Very nice. Looks like you guys had great time. Very nice shoots.
  2. Sorry about bumbing this back up, but... I know I was just at Cedar Point like 2 weeks ago, but I can't freaking wait. I'm packing right now. My plane leaves around noon tomorrow, and gets in to Cleveland around 10ish. I really miss being so close to the park I grew up in And the FREE BEER offer still stands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See you all there! If you can't attend because you'll be at Robb & Ellissa's BBQ, well... screw you then. I'm just kidding. See you all soon. Have an AWESOME WEEKEND! In Ohio & California
  3. That's the one thing I didn't like about staying in the city, the noise of the BART & MUNI lines. I think we were like on the 27th floor or something... still heard every God damn thing going on at 330 in the morning. Enjoy the Giants game. SBC Park is probably one of my favorite ballparks. Expect to pay upwards to $9.00 for a beer
  4. Dude... WTF! I just got the ok from my work today, to take the week of October 10th off so I can goto Florida. I was skipping with joy all the way through the brewery. YOU JUST KILLED MY SKIPPING
  5. Staying in Gilroy would probably be your best and cheapest bet. It's sort of an in between San Fran and SCBB. I stayed at a Super 8 last year for the Hollister motorcycle rally. It wasn't bad, like $64 for July 4th. My buddy had his Harley stolen from there though. I think Gregg(SuperCrack) stayed there also while he and his family were visiting NorCal last week. Although, it's nice to stay in the city. My family and I stay at the Hyatt on Embrarcadaro for the huge T-Mobile bike race that is held there every year. It's like $325/night, but we never pay for it. One of the vendors from the bike race does. Planning anything else besides SCBB and San Fran? What about SFMW, PGA or Bonfante Gardens?
  6. Yeah, it's like the only family photo we have.
  7. Gregg & Kristi, We'll be heading to SFMM & Knott's during Labor Day Weekend. I'll let you know.
  8. Had an awesome time with Gregg, Kristi and their two kids while they visited SFMW. The solo rides on V2 were nice. Even though I just rode Wicked Twister at Cedar Point the week before. And Roar was running great. Awesome airtime on this ride. Medusa, alright ride. I long for Kraken. Plus the 3 man staff running the ride, what the hell? Overall it was great to meet someone from TPR. Someone with the same love for amusement parks and coasters. Also being married and having kids helps to. This is me looking at the map before Gregg and Kristi arrive. "I know the elephant that poops in the trash can is over here. But where is the the front gate?"
  9. Man, If I were you, I'd just go up north to Vermont and get some Baseball beer form the Vermont Pub & Brewery, get surf and turf at the Shanty and go watch some Phish coverbands, because there ain't much in northern NY! There ain't much in VT either. Oh, well.
  10. Has Paramount ever started off fresh like this, I mean building a whole new park? Weren't all the other parks purchased. Someone with Paramount power of knowledge fill me in. Thanks! Oh No! You don't think that they would actually send a coaster over seas, do you? So long Vortex, don't forget your passport. No, that wouldn't happen. Paramount isn't Six Flags. Not yet atleast
  11. The piece of junk at NYNY... like, for sure dude 8)
  12. I don't know how you guys do it. Ever think about changing your name to THE EXTREME ALVEY'S? Can't wait for the pictures.
  13. 5 more days till Coaster Mania! Can't wait! I catch a plane right after work on Wed. Will be at CP Thur, Fri & part of Sun. Yippie!
  14. HELL YEAH BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I've never even seen Zonga run.
  16. The last time I rode it was the year they opened it. Was like 1999 or so? If they changed some stuff, thank God! I'm serious, I had a headache the entire day I was there. Really ruined my day.
  17. Flight of Fear @ PKI... OUCH! That headache is going to be with me for the rest of the WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Another vote for Vortex 8)
  19. Hey Robb, How do you rate the Royal Pacific? I was thinking about staying there, or the Portofino when I do my Florida trip in Sept. Can't wait for the pictures!
  20. Nice TR! Glad you enjoyed the Busch parks(SeaWorld & Busch Gardens). It's good to know things are still all good there without me around anymore.
  21. Reminds me of the days when I was following Phish around the country.
  22. Summer promises to be best in a while for theme park fans By Mike Schneider, Associated Press
  23. Didn't they just open a NICK hotel near Universal like 2 months ago. Thought I saw something while watching Sponge Bob Square Pants There still is Paramounts!
  24. You want to go to an amusement park during a holiday when just about 86% of the population will not be at work? Let me think, hmmm.... YOUR FREAK'N NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In all honesty though, from what I have seen while working at Cedar Point, SeaWorld and Six Flags, if you do go this holiday weekend, go on Monday, Memorial Day. If you go on Sat or Sun, you'll just end up hating yourself. It will still be busy Monday, but most people will treat Monday, like it's Sunday. They'll think, "Hey, I have to go back to work tomorrow" As for me, I'm going to SFMW on Friday morning right after work! Ride for 2 hours, go home and sleep, and go right back to work because I hate dealing with holiday crowds. Enjoy!
