I did ride MF. It's just I was so mad, I only rode it once. And it's not Cedar Point changing all the stuff about the seatbelts, it's Intamin. I talked with an old friend of mine, and also director of park operations, and she says it's all Intamin. A lot of people are not being able to ride. And those whom think they can fit, get in line, sit down, try and try to get the seatbelt on, and end up stacking up trains. And in the end, they get out feeling embarrassed and angry. Talk about killing the mood of your day. I went to Friday's and had a couple bloddy mary's and forgot about it.

Ahh man! I love wings!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I lived in Ohio we had places that just sold wings and had over 30 different types of sauces. Freak'n had wings every day I could. Now out in California, there isn't a single wings place out here. I have to settle for Friday's or Chili's wings. There good, but not the same. Wish I was there. Maybe next time. I Want My BW3's.

What the hell man! No wonder park attendance is down nation wide, people are afraid to go to an amusement park. -
Yeah, that's me in the red shirt. The new 1 inch slack rule was just started the day of Coaster Mania. I'm only a size 36 waist and have a gut, not big, but not small. I can get the seat belt on with no problems, it's just pulling up on the belt to show the 1 inch slack. The belt doesn't want to move. I don't know. Maybe it was the belt or maybe it was me. All I know is that it pissed me off enough to only ride MF once. The other thing that pisse me off is that when I rode Dragster, there wasn't a 1 inch rule. Same seats and seatbelts. WTF? I would say about over 1500 people attended Coaster Mania. A lot showed up in the afternoon though. And during morning ERT, we had the choice of TTD or MF. Making plans already for next year. It's always the first Friday in June. It would be nice to have some people from TPR attend.

Got in to Cleveland around 9:45 on Wednesday night, but waited around the airport until midnight because my friend, Craig, and his boyfriend, Wayne, came in at that time. Got picked up by Craig’s dad, Sam. Had a few beers at the house and went to bed about 4:00am. Thursday is when it all began. We got to Cedar Point around 4:00pm, because we couldn’t check into Breakers until that time. Once we were all checked in, it was time for the very first ride in the park… TGIFriday’s. Had some beers, and finally made it into the park around 6 or so. We usually wait until 6 or so because that is the time most of the buses leave. Less people in the park. We got on just about everything in 4 hours. Magnum was running with no brakes, so that was nice and fast. Raptor was flying! And Dragster had no problems making it over the crest. After riding we headed back to our favorite ride… TGIFriday’s. I was hoping to meet some folks from TPR, but no such luck. We closed the place down. Headed to the pool for awhile, and then headed to bed. We had a bid day ahead of us tomorrow. Friday, Coaster Mania day! The first alarm went off and woke us at 4:00am. This wasn’t any regular alarm clock; it was the Coaster Nazi, Craig’s mom Kathy. We made it over to check in and get our ERT buttons and journeyed in the park. Craig’s older brother, Eric also joined the group. First stop, not Friday’s, they weren’t open yet, Millennium Force. I freaking love this ride, except for this day. We got into the train, sat down and got situated. I was then told that if I didn’t have at least one inch of slack I couldn’t ride. So I pulled and pulled. The slack was there, it’s just that the belt wasn’t moving at all. Eventually the ride op said I was ok and then they finally dispatched the train. Being red hot and angry, this ride sucked for me. I don’t know if it was running good or bad, I just kept thinking about how fat I was. The rest of the group rode a couple more times. For me, I didn’t want to deal with the damn seatbelts again. So I just stayed behind and took some video. Next up on the morning ERT, Top Thrill Dragster. Ah, what a nice short line. It was like a 5 minute wait. Dragster ran pretty much flawlessly all that day. I only saw one rollback that day, and it was when a bunch of ACEr’s were riding it during the ERT. You want to talk about a crazy group of people. I’ve got video of that rollback and I’ll post it later. With the 2 ERT rides out of the way, it was time for some breakfast. Not Friday’s, but Bob Evan’s. Craig and I worked at Bob Evan’s while in high school, and now that were both on the west coast, we were craving some “Home on the farm” cooking. After our Sunrise Skillet (Country Skillet), we were off for more coasters. Or were we? Since we had some food in our stomachs, why not get beer. And why not get it at Friday’s. Around 11:00am or so, my father and his girlfriend, Cheri, joined the group and we headed off into the park again. Well not all of us. Craig, Wayne, Kathy, Sam and Eric all stayed behind and slept awhile. My father, Cheri and I got on a lot of rides. Magnum, Raptor, Gemini, which was running awesome and other park favorites. My dad and Cheri left so they could check into the hotel, and I went of to meet everyone else for dinner at Friday’s. After dinner we headed of into the park, got in some more ride time. ERT started at 10:30pm and ran until midnight. We had ERT on Raptor, Magnum, maXair, Blue Streak and Disaster Transport, with the lights on! I was able to get some on ride video of DT, and I’ll post it later. After ERT, there was only one thing left open, Friday’s! Stayed until close and then went to bed.. Saturday, is not the day to be in the park. So what did we do? We rode any way. Started in the back and worked are ways to the front and to the car. Had to make some stops on the way home. Stopped at Friendly’s for a Peanut Butter Cup sundae and Taco Bell for a Crunch Wrapper. They dropped me off at the airport and I headed home. All in all this was probably the best trip to Cedar Point I ever had. I got to meet up with some old friends and family and we all enjoyed one place we love so much… Cedar Point. A ride on Disaster Transport with lights on ends our day Ernie, our favorite Friday's bartender and Wally Craig and Wayne Sam and Kath and Friday's Wasting time by the train. Demon Droppin'!!!!! Kathie will work at the park for free if Mr Kinzel gives her a house on the beach. And yes, she has told him this already, Magnum Fun!!!!!!!!!!! First Ride Of The Day... Friday's!!!

I don't get it. I'm that big... at least I don't think so. Coaster Mania Friday, I just about got kicked off the train because of the new 1 inch slack rule they just started that day. Yet, I can go on to Dragster, buckle in fine, and ride with no problems. I talk to one of my buddies that I worked with on Raptor in 1996 and was at Coaster Mania on Friday, and he said that he has ridden Dragster over 400 times, and each seatbelt in different. I'll have a TR on Coaster Mania when I get back to California. Right now, I have to go catch a plane. Hope evryone had fun at the BBQ!

Possible SeaWorld Orlando Expansion
PhishyBrewer replied to JT3000's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Believe it or not: not all of Anheuser-Busch's corprate offices are in St Louis. A very large part of BEC is based right in Orlando. When I was a buyer, the corprate purchasing office was right across the street from SeaWorld. Also, you can't forget the Busch Prperty Group. They own tons of land all over the nation. For example: AB still owns a very large amount of land near Cleveland, OH. Why? Who knows. SeaWorld isn't there anymore. So even though you see all the extra land, it could just be for something else. Jelly Belly in Fairfield, CA sits on Anheuser-Busch land. A Wal-Mart sits on AB land. AB does a lot of things you wouldn't even think about. If you eat any kind of rice grown in northern California, it's more that likely grown by AB(PIRMI). -

I shouldn't read this stuff right when I wake up. I don't know what's true and what's false. For some reason or another, I just sent Jimmy Swagger $500. -
Off to CoasterMania!
PhishyBrewer replied to coaster1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just made it in to Ohio last night. I'm back with my old roller coaster family. Heading to the CP today and staying at Breakers. Should be able to get plenty of good pictures and video within three days. Oh... I hate America West. I don't know what's worst, them or SouthWest. NO A/C from Phoenix to Cleveland. Yuck! -
Dumbo the elephant was quoted "Can't we all just get along?" in a news conference earlier today regarding the riots in downtown Seoul. As you remember, this all started when a not guilty verdit was handed down to 5 stage clowns for being video taped beating Dumbo during a routine traffic stop. Sorry, I don't know where this stuff comes from.

Possible SeaWorld Orlando Expansion
PhishyBrewer replied to JT3000's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Being an employee of Anheuser-Busch, I haven't heard anything of a SeaWorld Orlando Expansion. Of course, they don't tell us as much stuff as they use to. The BIG rumor going around is, when August IV takes over when Pat Stokes steps down, BEC will be sold off, so ABI can focus just on beer. -

Wow! Nice TR. That park kind of reminded me of BGW. -
Don't hold your breathe when getting an "EXIT PASS" Cedar Fair top dogs hold onto those things tight and give them to supervisors when they feel they have to end all the bitch'n. Peggy Berch at CP is a real stickler for passing them out. If you get one, hell froze over. And GL, Bill Spehn will give you one for a wax paper cup of Busch and some soak city girl lifeqaurds. Man I'm evil when I don't sleep right after work.

Kill Dragster
PhishyBrewer replied to Coasterlicious's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There will come a time, I don't know when, maybe this year, or next or in 5 more years. Dragster will be all good and will run the way it's suppose to. It's a very advanced coaster. After a couple more of them are built, someone will be like, "Hey, why arern't we doing this" or "Why is the bolt to loose" or "Maybe we should change the filters more often" and Dragster will run for years to come. But if they tear it down... oh well. They'll always be something better on the horizon.
