When I opened the Sacramento Bee this morning, my eyes lit up and there was a huge smile across my face. No… I didn’t have the winning Mega Millions numbers, but there was a Calvin and Hobbes comic posted in the paper. The last time I saw the comic in the paper was back in 95’ when the strip ended. This really made my day. Even if it’s only going to be printed for a short time, it’s better than nothing.

So while you’re on a case, you’re not aloud to research anything about it or the person that is being charged. So now that it’s over, I can. The defendant in the case has been to court on more than one occasion. And has also been to court for battery before. There is nothing I can do. The law is the law. I really wish the DA had a stronger case.

I agree. As with this case, if Six Flags security would have shown more presence in the park, maybe this would have never happened. But what do you expect from Six Flags? They hire 18 year old kids for a summer job, pay them about $8.50 an hour or so, and the main thing on their mind is, “When’s my break?” or “When can I go home?” And it’s not that hard to become a security guard, I know. When Karen and I first moved to California, we didn’t make that much money. So I took a job as a security guard part-time. All you have to do is take a test. And it’s not that hard… especially when the answers are given to you.

F***! Could you even taste the beer? I'm sorry, but some barley wines and scotch ales I have tasted, I just can't enjoy them. The high amount of alcohol just kills pretty much all taste. This would not be the beer for me. Give me a nice cold lager from Belgium... and I'm a happy man. ^That sounds pretty good actually. They boil the brew longer to bring out all the fermentable sugars. More fermantable sugars, more food for the yeast to eat. More food for the yeast, more alcohol the yeast creates. Oh... and Co2. I just wonder if the hoppy taste would out weigh the burning feeling from the alcohol?

Well our group finally finished deliberations today. So now I can tell you all about it. We had a sexual battery case, and the alleged incident occurred at Six Flags Waterworld. I don’t know if I should go into great detail about the case, because it may not be appropriate for TPR. To sum it up, someone was accused of touching someone else and making a rude comment. It was such a weak case. I don’t even know why the DA even brought it to court. There was no way to prove the act even happened. The Defense Attorney and the District Attorney presented the case very poorly. And by going with what the law says, we had to give a not guilty verdict.
