  1. ^ No, sadly. It shows a congratulations message for winning the contest and how the schedule is set up the day of the grand opening.
  2. ^ They have recently retracked it and being honest, it's more bearable. The first drop isn't shaky at all, you can see the areas of the wood they replaced, which is a good amount. In other news, I got the letter about the details on how Tantrum's grand opening is gonna go down! So excited for it.
  3. NO! NOT THE WIGGLES! That was a childhood memory. Anyways, they're not anywhere near bankruptcy, it's really dumb they can't take a lil' money away from their huge flagship parks that already have awesome attractions and spare it to Great Escape for licensing. (getting a lil' off topic here, reel it back in) On another note, I won the contest for KissTwitterTantrum and I'm picking up the stuff (season passes, meal vouchers, vip wristbands for Tantrum's opening, bags) sometime this week, excited!!!
  4. ^ I hope SFA gets something big soon, they've been put aside for so long now, and Great Escape honestly should already be branded as Six Flags officially, then they can get DC and Looney Tunes.
  5. They have a plot of land behind the black gate next to Steel City Station (RoS' shop), they could convert that into a DC comics area and add stuff like an S&S 4D Freefly, a Zamperla Giant Discovery, an ABC Tourbillon, or even an RMC T Rex. Then for a smaller year add some slides in Splashtown where Cuda Falls and Floodgate Falls were, and brand the water park into Hurricane Harbor. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There's so much potential in the park due to the huge amount of land they have that's empty, can't wait to see what Six Flags does in the future with it.
  6. Hm, so maybe they'll do little things this year, keep the Darien Lake name, then next year brand it as a Six Flags.
  7. So someone on Wikipedia already updated Darien Lake and it states.. If this is true, maybe what I said earlier about DL being thrown aside like Great Escape and SFA won't happen after all!
  8. I just hope they don't put Darien to the side like Great Escape and Six Flags America.
  9. If they did it in New Jersey and Chicago, I wouldn't doubt it. Went to Great Adventure for HITP last December and it was colder than Buffalo.
  10. ^ Maybe they're doing a baby steps kinda thing and soon in the next couple years they'll buy it, and rebrand it. Kinda like how they bought Waterworld Concord and a year later branded it as Hurricane Harbor. Also... So maybe they'll introduce Six Flags tickets and season passes available later in the year, but also allow season passes and tickets purchased prior to the deal will be usable.
  11. So will DL along with the other parks be in their announcement videos of getting attractions every year? Like are they now going to be Six Flags, or just owned by Six Flags?
  12. ^ Yep, it was open. Got on it for one of my rides during a little marathon, the airtime there is the best on the 2nd hill after the first helix.
  13. ^ Yes, but they hung that up before the contest was announced, so maybe it's behind schedule, or they're gonna do a soft opening on Memorial Day, then the grand opening is on the 1st. Also, my dad is a mailman, and one of his co-workers told him she had friends who are electrical engineers or something like that and they said the ride passed inspection.
  14. So.... I won the Tantrum contest to be one of the first riders....how about that.
  15. Even if it doesn't, they could extend it out into the lake, so you're launching over water and it could have the lake monster theme.
  16. ^ Ah, well it was closed today, it's unreliable. Honestly in a few years they should gut it and get a Premier Sky Rocket II.
  17. Little trip report of today. Finally got the guts to ride mind eraser again after several years of avoiding it due to its roughness, and it wasn’t as bad as I remember it. Tantrum was also testing today, two trains. (Guessing the third was in storage) In other news... Rolling Thunder’s joystick SNAPPED so it’ll be closed for a few days, how about that... Anyways, Predator was open (while boomerang is still closed, what a surprise...), and the first drop is actually smooth for once, they really got down on retracking it, and it’s overall a better experience now, if only they could retrack all of it and get a 2nd train. Moto was down for most of the day, and Viper was open (closed for a half hour - an hour for somebody reason). Rode: Ride Of Steel - 5x Mind Eraser - 1x Predator - 1x Station looks so awesome!! PSSST.. in the bottom right you can see the trains! (:
  18. Indeed I will! There's a summer program in my area that does a musical in July, so I'm looking forward to that. I really wanna go to college for theater arts, so it helps my experience.
  19. ^ Eek, Canyon Blaster needs a repaint. Pandemonium looks pretty cool! I like the color scheme.
  20. ^ A youtuber I follow (doesn't have footage) told me that Tantrum was testing yesterday.
  21. Has anyone ever noticed that Dare Devil Dive and Anubis The Ride at Plopsaland have the same layout (only Anubis launches and Dare has a lift hill)?
  22. Honestly someone could come up with some soppy story and win, even though it was all a lie. Makes sense right.. June 1st? sigh, they're opening past the date they said was Memorial Day weekend.
  23. ^ Opening night went SO well! Nailed all my lines and the character voice (fun fact I have a pretty high voice for a guy, and the character I play is supposed to be dark and ominous, so that was a fun challenge) is coming together. One show down, two to go!
  24. Opening night for The Great Gatsby is tonight! Ahhh! I'm so happy, excited, and a lil' nervous. Photo of me in costume btw! (I DO have dress socks, but not at the time in this photo. )
