Ok so I was at the park today and since people were asking, they are enforcing the no phone policy 100%. No exceptions for zipped pockets. They send employees through every switchback looking for phones. I only rode it once today and saw them kick 2 people out of line. One guy was on the last straight section too, lol!!! LOL. This kind of brings me back to elementary school when in my school you could only be a Green Day fan or an Offspring fan, but not both, at least publicly. But in JR high it started to come out that everyone, including myself, who was a public fan of one was a closet fan of the other. So is it really a similar situation with TPR and ACE? And if so, why? What do you not like about Roar? And I didn't say El Toro was not intense, just not as intense as I was expecting. Roar is the definition of rough. But I wasn’t exactly blown away by EL Toro either. In fact I would say it’s the definition of overrated. It’s a good ride but I don’t get how people think it’s elite. Hmm.. I’ve entered the park at the resort entrance almost 20 times this season and they have never asked to see my pass or anyone else’s that I have seen. Every time after the national anthem it’s just been a free for all toward SV. But now that SV isn’t open for early entry I’ve been entering at the front so maybe they’ve started checking back there. ^ it was I who said I’ve never been able to get others in for early entry on the Carowinds thread. I’ve actually never tried, I emailed CP and their response was that nobody under any circumstances is allowed in early that isn’t a pass holder themselves or didn’t stay at one of the hotels. So I’ve been following the rules and just show up at 10. But obviously they’re letting everyone in at the resort entrance. And while there is s holding area right in front of the Enterprise, they have never asked to show a pass or anything like they do at the front. So I think I maybe, possibly could have discovered a loophole in the early entry system. For anyone who has ever stayed at one of the CP hotels and took advantage of early entry... how do you get in for early entry? Is there a special ticket? I ask because I’ve been noticing people enter through the resort entrance for early entry with what looked like standard tickets who parked in the lot and weren’t walking from Breakers. Now obviously they could have been at breakers express or the other one, and that would explain it. But... yesterday was the first time I’ve entered through the main entrance in a long time and we had to show a pass or something to get you past a checkpoint right in front of Raptor for early entry. At the resort entrance there is no checkpoint. So I’m wondering could anyone with a regular ticket enter the park early through the resort entrance? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Interesting. Yeah, it certainly can be inconsistent but I'd say far more often than not I had good rides over bad, and a handful I've had the violent ejector, often to the point of needing to hold on. Maybe I've done the seatbelt trick without realizing it before, usually I tend to keep it a tad looser so chances are that's why I end up with the leg smashing airtime on Magnum Sad to hear for you it's been running awful, hopefully this wont be the case for me. CP only had 2 actually bad rides for me, Corkscrew and Mean Streak, so Id hate for Magnum to fall. Gatekeeper...last year I rode it front row at like 6 am. I felt nothing, it was slow and boring, 0 force. But then later in back row I found it very enjoyable and had serious pull. Rode it two more times each good. So I dont know if it was the fact it was so early and hadnt warmed up, or being in front, or both, but lesson learned only back on Gatekeeper! If I get more of that experience, I'd say its top 5 at CP. I love gatekeeper in the front or back on either side. I’ve said it before on here, Magnum in the past has been up and down for me. At the end of last season it was running very well. It didn’t matter what seat, and I didn’t need any seatbelt trick, it was just a good ride on it’s own. But this year so far it’s been terrible. I’ve only been to the park 12 times with 30 different people and nobody liked it so far. so maybe it’s coincidence that it’s running bad just when I’m there, who knows, but I doubt it.

Nice! See this is what I was hoping for, esp in late August, and yes I'll be there on a Friday. Only thing is, I want multiple rides on SV. I imagine lines have been ridiculous. So Im in a bit of a pickle, fork out the near $100 and risk that for most of the park it will be a waste, or dont but then I may get what 2 rides on SV? And that would likely be during early access hotel hours. I suppose could wait till near then and see what crowds are like BUT I hear fast pass also can sell out and dont want to get shut out. Ugh idk! Yeah don’t worry about fast lane selling out. You will need it though if you don’t want to wait the 2 hours for SV. With early entry you will most likely get 1 ride with a minimal wait. Shouldn’t be too busy in late August. I’ve been plenty of weekends in late August with 10 minute maximum waits for everything except exterminator. That one is always long when I’m there. So I’ve been on Wild One at SFA, originally built in 1917. I don’t want to go through the history of the ride, most on here probably know it already. Is it still technically older than Jack Rabbit? If not then Jack Rabbit is the oldest one I’ve been on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s amazing what the lines in the rest of the park have been like so far this year. I normally avoid the park like the plague between Memorial Day and August without fast lane, but I’ve been at least once a week since opening day and I only go on weekdays so I can’t say if it’s the same on weekends, but the lines for everything not in frontiertown have been very favorable. I start every day by entering at the resort entrance and walking to SV at the rope drop. Since the two train operation I’ve been on in 20 minutes. then I make my way over to Maverick because by now SV is at least an hour wait, and it’s usually a 5 min wait at Maverick so I get 2 rides before 10. Sometimes 3 depending if the wait is less than 10 min. Now from this point on I estimate that at any given time about 40% of the parks guests are either in line for Vengeance or Maverick. Because every other ride (except raptor early Because it’s in the front) is less than a 15 minute wait unless it’s not running at full capacity or something. The dragster line has been ridiculously short. In fact the last time I was there was Wednesday and it was basically walk on the entire day. ValRavn can sometimes be 15 or less too. And sometimes it’s over an hour. The rest are 15 or less. GateKeeper has been a walk on all season. Millie (world’s best family giga) is a walk on if they are running all 3 trains. The blue train has been down a lot on the days I’ve gone. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence that it just does when I’m there or if it’s been a problem all season or not, but point is, the lines for that and the rest of the park are non existent. It’s been great! And if it keeps up like this I might visit the park 60 times this year instead of my usual 30. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
