The photos are from digital cam and large. For instance the pic of midway is originally 2288 X 1712 X 24 bits 72dpi Filesize is 800 kb

The photos i had posted along with the SFNO text showed up quite small. i notice that other photos posted are consideraby larger as far as thier height and width. I resized the photos i posted to be along the lines of the filesize allowed by the board. What do i need to do to have future photos show with larger display? Cuurently i have PS6 installed to work with the pics. Thanks

Interesting photo of Tweety at SFOG!

GEEEZ. When i look at the photo i just don't see tweetybird at all, I just see tweetypus. I guess a little extra coloring on the affected area would bring that rating up? Not only is the photo itself cracking me up but, i also wonder if the family bought the photo And what they think everytime they look at thier treasured memory? -

I am just being a smart Alex. I would think that it should be thumbs up. What I see seems just plain sloppy and lazy. You must realize hand signals are important to me to notice it in such a fast clip. The video was fun. For some reason the link to the second half didn't work for me. It was bringing me to an upload page. -

Whats up with the attendant and her hand signal?!?! Looks like she is trying to hitchhike out the park. -
What i thought was so funny was, they went to fish and chips for lunch and ate FRIED CHICKEN! I would have had the fish n chips. I really do miss going to one of three parks whenever i felt like it. Now i have Six Flags Under Water.

Pic one taken just days before the storm Next to Joccos Mardi Gras Madness is the Joccos stage which is covered by a tent and can be seen in pic 1 on right. This is in the Mardi Gras section of the park. Notice the gold, purple and green colors which are the colors of Mardi Gras. Also note the sign over queue on left for Mad Rex and Signage and decorative work on front of Jocco tent and the ride. Also note the paint work on the midway. Honestly, for the bad rap this park gets on the net, This aint bad. I think it looks great. Yes, there is a shade structure running down the midway. Keep in mind that what you are looking at is actually a pier built up off the ground. Yes, I know you are looking at it and see grass on the left but all this is raised 4 to 6 feet off the ground. OMG! Look, there are actually trees! Not that many but they are there. If you go by what you read on the net you would think the place is baron and all concrete. Well, That was that other park. I think it was called Jazzland. Sadly this is what is now destroyed. Pic 2. Identities crudely covered This is exclusive photo that can only be found here at Theme Park Review. I do not give permission to anyone to use it anywhere. After park went to weekend operation fright fest work had begun. The Joccos stage was used for a fright fest maze. The construction of the maze was completed and guest would have seen this for the first time Sat but the park did not open due to the approaching hurricane. I walked through the maze and of course it was great! I absolutely loved the canvas that was made to wall out and tent joccos stage area. There was also a section of mirrors inside just like the old walk through fun houses. So much hard work that no one will ever see. Pic 3 The tent and maze after the storm. You can see some of the destroyed black walls that made up the maze. There you go, My major contribution to TPR more than my usual few liners. Enjoy -

Yeah, the control and sound equipment racks probably all were under water. Same thing for Sponge Bob. Only thing probably survived in S.B. is the projectors since on the second floor. -

Yes, i can say that from the pics and the fact that my pickip was seen in one floating that everything in joccos is lost. basically because seeing how high the water was, all cars, electronics and most of the stuff inside as far as gags and animated things all went under water. -

Last week the levee that runs along the park was opened in three places to let the water drain. As you can see in the link to the park pics, especially the one of megazeph, the levee is next to the park and actually was keeping it under water. It is being drained now. You know how things are as far as info and what will happen. All I know so far is there are usual steps to go through as far as ins adjusters, what can be saved, what can't, cleanup then rebuilding. As of right now, as soon as it is deemed safe and work can begin, I will be going into the park. That of course will be for cleanup and rebuilding. Remember though how things can change quickly round this place Hmmm, Texas park closing, Our Park in need. You just never know -

Looks like I just might then! For the next planned trip I guess I have to get a two week head start on the group! You know, I am so single right now. I really depend on others to plan and get me around. Not that I can't, or don't want to. Just don't ever seem to get around to doing it myself. Hell, This summer I didn't even get out to Georgia or Texas. I only spent Labor Day weekend at fiesta cause I was EvacT and could not go home yet! Ok, So I flew three times when I was young and it was ok. By my mid 20's I had seen quite a few devastating air accidents which made me afraid of flying. At 25 I took vacation to Cali and I was afraid the whole six hour trip. Upon descending my jaws started to hurt and I was in pain until we landed. Same thing happened on return flight home. Now I just say I choose not to fly. In reality I believe I will be the statistic of one in a million that will crash and burn. Of course similar statistics for thrill rides but I am realy good at not thinking about it when standin in front of a huge coaster. Oh my god! Have you ever seen me type so much! Well, Yeah, but that one seems to be gone now :? -
Yeah, First time I rode it, it was smooth. most at the time complained of how it threw you to the side at the top of the second hill. Years later it just got wierd bumpy. so wierd that it is dificult to explain what i felt. it was like perfectly spaced bumps to me thru the bottoms of the drops. Also what had me unimpressed was, the best part for me was the first two drops and the helix. the rest felt like just a bunch of bunny hills for a loooong run. To me a big waste of what could have been some nice drops. It certainly was a nice fun ride. Guess I have to agree that today, not so good anymore

Yeah! I likes me some Foo Fighters I really like the look of that steel coaster that seems to run along around some hills close to the ground. Looks like some nice fast long curve drops. Love those. I don't fly though so i will never ride it. Sigh Ok so now don't say, You will ride coasters but i won't fly? -
Wooden Coaster Hand Rails
calcajun replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yep. All of the above apply. Safety for maintenance, evac guest and any reason someone would have to walk to any section of track on the course. Having walked up Megazeph lift quite a few times and trying not to touch the handrail due to splinters, I certainly wouldn't try to touch it on a moving train. Besides, you really should not do that. but you know that. Be safe, have fun. -
Artistic help or ideas for a tattoo?
calcajun replied to sfne2005's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
By the way, You do see three seperate tats in the first pic. The only time my tats show is if i wear tank top and shorts. I have no problem getting employement cause they don't show unless i want then to. Be shure you want what you want. Be shure to place them properly so they will not affect you negatively down the road. -
Artistic help or ideas for a tattoo?
calcajun replied to sfne2005's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My suggestion is certainly get something meaningfull to you. Don't rely on someone suggesting an artist! Go to every shop in your area and look at every artist's book. When you find someone who draws and tats in a style you like go with that artist. Now that you know who's work you like best, talk with them about a general idea and also show them some pics BUT just use that as the general idea and ask then to draw something original for you. Example as my stuff is all original drawn by the artist's. My "dago" piece was drawn freehand directly on me except for the stenciled letters.
