  1. Yeah, and that's just the MCBR. When they finish the lift you'll be able to see it fairly quickly from the interstate.
  2. 35 consecutive rides on the Dania Beach Hurricane.
  3. Islands of Adventure Universal Studios Walt Disney World Busch Gardens Sea World = All within a 3-4 hour radius.
  4. The coaster is massive, just look at the view from Toon Lagoon in Islands. From New York/San Fran.
  5. Yeah, I can't wait to see the finished 17 story tall vertical lift. It's gonna tower over the resort.
  6. It's amazing how massive is it. It's huge! Didn't know if this had been posted, but it's a great rendering of the cars. Orlando Rocks also posted a newer update. http://orlandorocks.com/1a/usf/rides/rockit/construction/1/Rockit-Construction.aspx
  7. In a recent travel podcast, posted HERE, they talk about Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit and mention a few tidbits such as: - "People mover" loading system (Magic Carpet) enabling a capacity of roughly 2000 people per hour. - Track filled with sand to reduce noise. - Lots of music options, and it'll be actual current music, not custom tracks created specifically for the ride. (And hopefully more than the 25 tracks mentioned here) You can listen to the full podcast, which is about 8 long minutes of vacation planning info before the Rockit part, here: http://www.travimp.com/promo/cm8117_universal.html On a construction related note, the lower brake run over the twister queue was installed earlier this week, and the top brake run started going in today. You can even see it on the WESH weather cam here: http://www.wesh.com/wxcam/1472284/detail.html
  8. Couple of new shots. Points of notice is that they've painted over the big Wild Thornberry's nicktoon mural and they also removed the advertisements for NBC shows. The Ghostbuster HQ downhill segment (after the non-inverting loop) has been topped off. Those block brakes are gonna be pretty high up. What a massive coaster.
  9. I've heard that they'd like to have it up and running by Grad Bash, and the permanent stage should be up in time to coincide with the beginning of Mardi Gras'.
  10. Islands of Adventure Universal Studios Busch Gardens Africa.
  11. I figured no one would shell out the money to buy the park whole. I guess next time they should plan to build a theme park in places where they can actually make money, like Orlando, Ohio, or Cali and not on top of former entertainment venues that failed. Better luck next time.
  12. Well, technically the castle is to be built UPON the top of the box, so the structure is gonna be massive.
  13. Thanks for that actually, I've been trying to find it for a while.
  14. I'd try and help, but it won't play in my browser, "missing plugin."
  15. New pics up at Orlando Rocks. http://www.orlandorocks.com/1a/usf/rides/rockit/construction/1/Rockit-Construction.aspx
  16. I remember Coney Island being in parts of Cloverfield.
  17. The Dania Beach Hurricane is always a fun thing to do when you have some free time. Especially since there's never, ever a line, lol. I rode it just yesterday. Glad you guys had a lot of fun, and you should've definetly hit up Santa's Enchanted Forest this year, lots of freaky displays got added.
  18. Universal put up the official attraction page on the website. http://www.universalorlando.com/theme-parks/universal-studios-orlando/attractions/hollywood-rip-ride-rockit.html
  19. Some new Bowl shots and vertical lift construction.
  20. Someone changed the photo links, I removed it.
  21. Here are some pics from yesterday. Here they are putting up a support. And now there is another section of track.
  22. Here are a few photos taken today at the park.... ^The new stage area. ^Front of old Ghostbusters firehouse. ^Behind the facade ^behind the facade within the Twister extended queue
