  1. The un-inverted loop looks massive. It must be one hell of a thrill, especially factoring the speed you're going at. I can't wait to ride it.
  2. Links reposted. I believe they're shooting for a Memorial Day weekend opening.
  3. There's that gorgeous twist. http://www.orlandorocks.com/info.aspx?attraction=rockit&location=usf&sub=Construction&pg=2 More pictures on page 1: http://www.orlandorocks.com/info.aspx?attraction=rockit&location=usf&sub=Construction&pg=1
  4. Some pictures from today. The loop is coming along.
  5. Yup, official guess is Air France in terminal 2 to Paris.
  6. Hm, definetly Air France in terminal 2. I'm guessing you're either heading on a flight to Paris or Honolulu.
  7. New update at Orlando Rocks. orlandorocks.com/1a/usf/rides/rockit/construction/1/Rockit-Construction.aspx
  8. Here are the pictures from yesterday. They've put up another piece of track, which I believe is part of the bottom of the non-inverting loop. Finally.
  9. Well..the building the Rockit goes through is now just a firehouse facade that houses part of the queue for Twister. It's used to be the entrance for the old Ghostbuster's Spooktacular ride. I don't think they'll need to reinforce the building anymore. The Hole they cut in it was in an hollow part of the facade which didn't affect any supports for the building itself.
  10. Orlando Rocks added some new pictures: I believe that's the crowd surfer element. Looks to be about a 95-degree angle.
  11. Here are some pics that were taken today today. The lift really DOES look like some bungee platform.
  12. Haha, yeah. That is a few actually, there's a whole lot more. That list is probably half of the ones offered in the survey.
  13. Universal did a survey about songs last year, asking which one's you preferred the most and here's a few of the songs that they listed in the survey. 1000 People by Blackfield 1999 by Prince Ain't No Other Man by Christina Aguilera All I Wanna Do by Sheryl Corw Angry Chair by Alice In Chains Animals by Nickelback Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz Are You In by Incubus Auto Rock (From Miami Vice) by Mogwai Awnaw by Nappy Roots B.O.B. by Outkast Baby I Love Your Way by Peter Frampton Back To The Future Theme by Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Bad Boys Running Wild by Scorpions Banquet by Bloc Party Barracuda by Heart BatDance by Prince Batman Theme by Danny Elfman Believe Me by Fort Minor Best Of You by Foo Fighters Blitzkrieg by Metallica Block Rockin Beats by Chemical Brothers Bodyrock by Moby Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen Boys Of Summer by The Ataris Break On Through by The Doors Breakdown by Tom Petty Breakfast In America by Supertramp Bring Me To Life by Evenescence Car Wash by Roll Royce Cat Scratch Fever by Ted Nugent C'Est La Vie by Robbie Nevil Check Yo Self by Ice Cube Clocks by Coldplay Closer To Free by Bo Deans Cochise by Audioslave Country Boy by Ricky Skaggs Crackerman by Stone Temple Pilots Crazy by Gnarls Barkley Crazy Train by Ozzy Ozbourne Creep by TLC Crocodile Rock by Elton John Cryin' by Vixen Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins Dangerous by Ying Yang Twins Dare by Gorillaz December by Collective Soul Dejate Llevar by Ricky Martin Desire by U2 Devil Went Down To Georgia by Charlie Daniels Band Don't Stay by Linkin Park Downtown by Petula Clark Elevation by U2 Enter Sandman by Metallica Even Better Than The Real Thing by U2 Evenflow by Pearl Jam Everyday's A Holliday by The Dandy Warhols Evil Ways by Santana Facedown by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Faint by Linkin Park Figured You Out by Nickelback Flashlight by Parliament Flat On The Floor by Nickelback Flying Theme From E.T. by John Williams Freaking Out by Adema Freebird by Lynard Skynard Fun, Fun, Fun by Beach Boys Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio Get Back by Ludacris Get Back by The Beatles Getting Away With Murder by Papa Roach Gimme The Light by Sean Paul Give It Away Now by Red Hot Chili Peppers Give It To Me by Timbaland Given Up by Linkin Park Glamorous by Fergie Go by Pearl Jam Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys Got Me Under Pressure by ZZ Top Got The Life by Korn Harder To Breathe by Maroon 5 Hash Pipe by Weezer Helicopter by Bloc Party Hella Good by No Doubt Here I Come by The Roots Hero (Theme From Spiderman) by Chad Kroger & Josey Scott Hip Hop Hooray by Naughty By Nature Hole In The Earth by Deftones House Of The Rising Sun by Animals How Far We'Ve Come by Matchbox 20 Hung Up by Maddona I Did It by Dave Matthews I Feel For You by Chaka Khan I Thank You by ZZ Top I Try To Think Of Elvis by Patti Loveless I Will Love You Forever by Whitney Houston I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor I Zombie by White Zombie If I Fall Your Going Down With Me by Dixie Chicks In Da Club by 50 Cent Intergalactic by Beastie Boys Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots I'Ve Been Everywhere by Johnny Cash Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield John Williams by Star Wars Theme Jumpin Jumpin by Destiny's Child Jumping Jack Flash by Rolling Stones Just Push Play by Aerosmith Kernkraft 400 by Zombie Nation Kick Start My Heart by Motley Crue Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down La Grange by ZZ Top La Is Burning by Bad Religion La Woman by The Doors Learn To Fly by Foo Fighters Let Er Rip by Dixie Chicks Let's Go by Prince Like Glue by Sean Paul Like Knives by The Fashion Little Less Talk And A Lot More Action, A by Toby Keith Little Red Corvette by Prince Living In The Fast Lane by Kenny Chesney London Bridge by Fergie Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress by The Hollies Love Shack by B52's Love Today by Mika Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf Main Theme From Indiana Jones by Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra Make It Rain by Fat Joe Feat. 14. No it won't be generic music. You'll be able to pick from a list of 25 Artist Tracks which haven't been released yet.
  15. Yup, I chose the Horntail also. I do like the look of the Fireball though. I'm guessing that they're asking this one for the Dueling Dragons re-theme.
  16. There is a new poll on the Harry Potter site regarding which type of Dragons you would ride. Either a Chinese Fireball or a Hungarian Horntail. New concept art too: http://www.universalorlando.com/harrypotter/
  17. NickC posted these over at IOACentral earlier today. Johnny posted an update on his website, here are a few of them. http://www.johnnyupsidedown.com/new2009rr.html
  18. Here's the official Maurer model of the lift and element. Just to get a better perspective.
  19. Here's a couple of new shots for you guys. The lift hill is just reaaally massive. Talk about a change to the skyline.
  20. Pictures really don't do the construction justice. The coaster is really massive, it's just such a great addition to the Studios. They're still on for a spring opening so I hope they keep up with their construction schedule.
  21. Couple new shots posted at Orlando Rocks. http://www.orlandorocks.com/info.aspx?location=usf&type=rides&Attraction=rockit&sub=construction&pg=1 The new email ad that Uni. is sending.
  22. It was posted a while back. It's the newer concept of the lift ever since budget cuts made them revise the plan they had to cover the lift in an LED Screen. So it's going to be covered in that sign. Not sure if it'll do anything or light up though. It's be good if it did. [Edit] It was released with these other two images too.
  23. The Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit site finally launched: http://HollywoodRockit.com/ The Lift hill construction on the coaster is definitely speeding up. The pictures is from earlier today, but as it stands right now, both sides are now equal height. The lift can be seen from pretty much anywhere in the park. Higher and higher and higher we go, where we stop nobody knows!
