  1. Go here to get your free Dr. Pepper coupon. http://www.drpepper.com/freeDrPepper/?icamp=hp_dpfree_coupon You only have 24 hours to do it!
  2. ^&^^Don't count your chickens before they're hatched. Lawsuit is still pending. Congress is working late hours tonight. They said to forget about the Big 3 bailout, the ducky game is more important!
  3. Lawsuit has been filed. Congress convened on this most important issue and have agreed to let 2 Californians and a Georgian sue a New Jersey businessman in New Jersey in regards to the "find the ducky" game. Bob, Scott, and Rick Versus The Big Mike Road Show and Enterprise It is our understanding that during the “find the ducky contest” that the contestants WOULD be able to find the ducky. WHEREAS this finding of the ducky was not as easily attainable for everyone this time, it is our understanding that this round should be thrown out. The people that “guessed” 7 did just that, they guessed. PKIManJZ (Zach) showed the picks that he made for the 7. He didn’t get all 7 because of the “believed” hidden ducky in the Big Apple photo. He should not be moving on just because he guessed 7, which was the right amount of duckies. Were there others? We believe that the contestants should have sent in where they found the 7, or 6. WHEREAS there is SO much at stake here, we believe that the final judgment should be having this round thrown out. BTW, I hope people can see the humor, if not, this is my disclaimer!!!
  4. ^Even if you were the only one to get that, you still missed the buffet one. My "guess" is that this round will be eliminated since no one got the right number. Lawsuit is pending... Missed it!!!
  5. ^I will have to check with Congress first to see if it is okay to have a Georgian in a California lawsuit that enters New Jersey! I also thought there might be a ducky in the stuffed animals, but I couldn't find one. Maybe I should have done some super-zoom.
  6. Scott, you are killing me!!! I love the Top Gun quote. PKIMan, if you are correct, then there are 8, which would make all of us lose... Well stated Bob! When do the lawsuits start against The Big Mike Road Show and Enterprise???
  7. I don't think the Big Apple is a ducky, but I do believe I missed the Patriot one. It looks like 7 to me. I'm screwed....
  8. Hi, You can book hotels from a variety of places. Try Expedia, Hotels.com, or Travelocity. There are others as well, but start with those and pick the Anaheim area. I don't know if there is a Disneyland pick, but if there is, choose that one. I wouldn't rent a car because there are trams/buses that can get you from your hotel to Disney. I think that might save you some money as well. I don't know of any way to get inexpensive tickets. Good luck!
  9. I agree with Robb as well. If you don't like a thread, or person, don't read it. Friends will be your friends no matter what, otherwise they are acquaintances. No, bring back the ducky game!!!
  10. ^I'm with Bob, still waiting for the finale of the TR!
  11. This TR is great Matt! I haven't been to Orlando for Halloween yet. Maybe we'll make it there sometime.
  12. ^^^^I'm glad you had a good time. I hope Gyendolynne and I can get to CGA on Saturday to see Club Blood, Cornstalker, Slaughterhouse, and Camp Gonnagetcha.
  13. We went to Kings Dominion’s Haunt on Friday, October 24. It was a great time! They have 8 Mazes, 4 Scare Zones, and 3 Shows. We went through all the mazes except Alien Outpost. The wait was too long. We also took in 2 of the 3 shows. We didn’t see Haunted Homecoming. Overall we think KD’s Haunt was awesome! We went on a Friday night and really had a good time. Our plan was to go to the back (Club Blood) and work our way forward. This was based on the fact the 5 mazes were in that area. Most people stopped at Maze of Madness in the front. By the end of the night (around 10pm for us), there was no wait. Enough is enough, onto the pictures! That's all I have from Kings Dominion. We didn't make it to SFA, sorry. We fly back to San Jose tomorrow. No re-entry. Last maze, no wait. If we would have stopped here on the way in, we would have waited around 30 minutes! Head to the back first!!! There was a lot of fog in this scare zone outside of Elvira. Final "show" it is actually a virtual reality roller coaster ride with Elvira. I'm sure most of you have seen this. We stopped to watch a little of Disturbia. I am attempting to go "artsy" here. There is no Fire at their ride. We didn't go in. Just took photos of Alien Outpost. We stopped for some pizza before continuing on... This guy was running late for Big Top Terror. Hi Clown! Their 3-D maze was very similar to Carn-Evil at CGA. They have a Jack in the Box too... This was Blackbeard's Revenge maze at White Water Canyon. Didn't see it, I wish we could have. These were the cars. Gyendolynne kept telling me to go faster! This maze was great! It is where the cars are and monsters jump out everywhere... Some clowns heading back to Big Top Terror. Security followed us through this maze to make sure I didn't take any photos inside. They did a great job on the theming at each maze. The next maze. I can't remember both of their names, but one of them was named Whiskers...anyone know the other name? We were just a little early and had to wait. Disclaimer... Since we didn't do Club Blood at CGA, we made sure we went to it first at KD. A couple of monster "friends" We didn't head through this scare zone, but we would go through it later. While we were walking to the back, there were some great decorations... I REALLY like the eyes in the tower. First maze, they have an Animatronics guy, just like CGA. They used lights to make their water red. Closer photo of Gyendolynne. Gyendolynne with the tower and scarecrow. The front area has a scarecrow scare zone. There were so many monsters walking around. There was a big crowd at the beginning. I'm glad we got there early. Friday night in Virginia, time for some fun! You get a pretty good look at the tower from the entrance. I like how they put eyes in the tower. Arriving, going across the freeway!
  14. Hey Mike, Just in case you were wondering from me, I vote Yes and so does Gyendolynne for your Big Mike tour of 2009. We should be coming out to New York in September...Hopefully! Good luck my friend, and get the ducky contest going!!!
  15. Thanks for the replies everyone! A few answers to some of the questions: Angry_Gumball - I asked if I could take the monsters' pictures and they said yes. I wasn't told I couldn't do that anywhere. SFA - We are planning on heading up to SFA on Sunday morning. We won't stay too long though! Mechanic - Camp Gonnagetcha is set up on Logger's Run. If I didn't answer your question, please ask again. We're in Virginia at the moment and we will be going to KD's Haunt tonight!
  16. ^^&^^^I agree that it would have been good to go through Club Blood and Slaughterhouse. I was warned that it wasn't appropriate for a 10 year-old though. We had a great time and I hope that Gyendolynne and I can go back and make it through the rest of the mazes and shows. Please add some reviews of the shows and mazes to this thread if you would like!
  17. Hey guys, Good posts. I haven't been to Fright Fest yet. We were hoping to go on Sunday, but got side-tracked. We liked CGA's Haunt. I wish we could have done the Camp Gonna Getcha. That looked like it would be a blast! I also wanted to go through Cornstalker, but the line was insane. From looking at SFDK, during the daytime, I like what you guys have done. This really shouldn't be a competition thing, but I can understand how that can come out. We like both places and both SFDK and CGA have outdone themselves this year. As I stated, I can only talk about the daytime at SFDK, but their decorations and theming have expanded greatly. We can't wait to come up there for Holiday in the Park too!
  18. We went to CGA’s Halloween Haunt on 10/18 with some friends. The mazes and scare zones were great! The kids we were with were scared farely regularly throughout the night. I love what CGA has done with Haunt this year. I can’t wait to go again! We went through Carn-Evil first. You must get the 3-D glasses. It makes the experience so much better. After riding a couple of rides, we went through the Werewolf maze at the rapids. The werewolf costumes were terrific! At this point, the lines got long for Cornstalker and Slaughterhouse. I wish we could have done these. The Camp Gonna getcha also looks interesting, but it was down when we went by it. Time to leave. Going to Virginia on Thursday. Hopefully we'll to KD's Haunt and SFA's Fright Fest this weekend! They're done too They're done That's them flying by Some of the following photos will be a little dark. I lightened them up as much as I could... Susan and Gyendolynne went on extreme flyers while we waited for them. what to do... Another long wait.... Ryan met up with us at one point and showed us his tombstone. Al's tombstone is right next to his as well. Hopefully some of you can meet them when you go. Is that the best you got...You pansies! This animatronics electric chair was "exciting" as well. I don't know anyone that has conquered this. Nick tried his luck at the ladder-rope... We went on Psycho Mouse instead. Cornstalker maze had a wait of over an hour... Camp Gonna getcha was down... This one scared some of us pretty good... Susan put the flashing fangs in her mouth... Nick had fun with him. I think he overcame his fear at this point. One of the scary Werewolves... Our next maze... I don't know why, but Nick wanted to climb Scooby... Yep, a Mystery Machine photo... That's Nick's red-eyes!!! Nick wanted to ride Delirium, so Gyendolynne and I took him on it. They made it! Susan and Nick... It does get bright with the fire. I haven't seen Firefall at night before. Gyendolynne and the girls rode Firefall while Susan and Nick rode the fliers. One ride on the best coaster in the park. On the way to Flight Deck, this guy will scare you pretty good. Susan had her glasses on backwards in the first photo. She is showing how to wear them the right way. Every maze needs a disclaimer... You should buy the 3-D glasses. It is well worth it! We went to Carn-Evil first. One of the many monsters in the scare zones... Hey, that's us!!! Susan, her son Nick, her daughter Courtney, and Courtney's friend. Night shot of the Carousel. Entering CGA. Susan and her kids came along with us!
  19. I didn't have a problem taking pictures on Saturday night. I will post my Trip Report soon. Another pic from in the maze Werewolf Maze By Top...Flight...Gun...Deck Scare Zone 1 by Carn-Evil
  20. ^^Uuughhh! I forgot to mention Matt too! Sorry dude. ^Nice beer report BTW, Derek. It's too bad about the bad time you had at SFNE.
