  1. Not only will you be getting our Christmas card this year, but YOU took the picture!
  2. ^I agree Scott. Gyendolynne and I talked about doing the hill again for the photo, but it was too crowded later on in the night.
  3. Land is closed for Holiday in the Park. The following were the shows that were open: Tiger Dolphin Shouka Sea Lion We didn't go to see Shouka or the Sea Lion shows. Shouka performs once at 8pm. The tiger show was twice.
  4. ^^It is in the back between Monkey Business and the butterflies. go there first, then watch the tiger show.
  5. We went to Six Flags Discovery Kingom’s Holiday in the Park on 11/27. It was the first day for the event. Below is a review and pictures. The day started out difficult. It was raining at 3pm, when the park opened. It kept raining through 4pm. We were prepared for it and we didn’t let the rain dappen our spirits. We went to Blitzen’s Wonderland Mountain first to slide down it. That was fun and I didn’t bottom it out! Our next stop was the tiger show at 3:30, followed by the dolphin show at 4pm. Even in the rain, the tiger show was good. They had their 2 youngest tigers come out. The dolphin show was nice because it got us out of the rain for a little bit. The lighting of the Christmas tree was at 5:30. We ate at our favorite taco place and had an “adult” beverage. The tree lighting was neat because they pull a family out of the crowd and have them light it, however, the tree didn’t light all the way to the top. We went through the Christmas tree forest and half of those trees weren’t lit up either. Aside from that, the park was nicely decorated and we had a good time. We also got our picture with Santa. It has been a tradition for us. We ended the night riding Tony Hawk’s Big Spin and Roar. There wasn’t any wait for it. ADMIN EDIT: I've gone ahead and updated your thread title to include "Photo TR:" and to remove the all-caps title. Otherwise, the thread looks good, so keep up the good work! That is all...Everyone should go to Holiday in the Park. It is a good time! Tony Hawk to end the night. in my best chipmunk voice - All I want is a hoola hoop... I wish I could have pet the dolphin, but these people got yelled at for doing it. ok, lift your chin and turn... This seal was posing... Night shot of the snow hill... Night shot of Candy Cane Lane. Heading to his workshop to take pictures. Santa is here! hmmm, what happened to the top? Flip the switch! They're ready... Captain Lee getting the family up there. We're waiting for the lighting of the tree. I thought I could open this gift. The puppet show was pretty good too. Me with the gingerbread cookie...I'm getting hungry! Unfortunately, all the trees' lights didn't work. I thought the Santa hat was cool. Almost time for the tree to get lit up! Toy Land was down by Medusa. A couple of shots from the show... At least we're not getting rained on anymore. Dolphin show time! We liked the sit up and beg move. The white bengal tiger is 1 year old too. Time for the stars. She is just under 1 year, from what I remember. This guy was dancing away before the show. Waiting for the tiger show. There wasn't any dry place. The tiger was wet, but seemed to enjoy it. I have a view of this at night too. Candy Cane lane is at the end of the hill. I FLEW down this hill. Heading to the back...Walking in a Winter Wonderland. We stopped here later for our picture with Santa. The tree is HUGE! The magic switch to light the tree. Mr. Six and gang were getting their groove on... They had a band in the front of the park playing Chrismas music.
  6. Nice TR Scott! I don't remember that smashed penny machine. I like the photo outside of the taco place. I'm glad that SFOG isn't flooded anymore.
  7. ^^^That's the song I can't get our of my head... I'm glad that they are getting more of a crowd. Anyone go to see Ed Alonzo, or watch the freaks?
  8. We had fun at Scandia. http://www.scandiafun.com/events.htm
  9. I forgot to give a HUGE thanks to Ryan Davies for taking us around the park for Media Day. It was great hanging out with you. Everyone had a such a good time.
  10. Thanks guys! ^We're not going to the Sharks game. Have fun there! Your seats sound good.
  11. ^Here is a video of the opening ceremonies that I took. Haunt.zip Opening Ceremonies
  12. We went to CGA’s Halloween Haunt last year, which was their first time having one. The event was so great! It was really crowded too. The link to last year’s report is below. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=652948#652948 I was asked to go to CGA’s Media Day for Halloween Haunt this year, but I couldn’t make it on 10/3. We were lucky enough to get a second chance at it on 10/9. A few friends joined us and we all had a great time. Along with the same mazes from last year, CGA added a new one called Toy Factory. They also added Shocking Sideshow of Freaks, which was a great show and Bang! Primeval Percussion. You must arrive early for the opening. All of the ghouls gather around to hear their directions to scare everyone. I have a video clip from this. We have a really good picture with the guy on the front of the CGA Haunt website. http://haunt.cagreatamerica.com/ We’ll start off with reviews of the mazes: CarnEvil – A must with 3-D glasses. Don’t go through it without them. They do a great job with the scare zone outside as well. I believe it is called the Gauntlet. Club Blood – It has a couple of stripper poles…need I say more? Slaughterhouse – I believe there was more gore last year, but this maze is absolutely disgusting. The gutting meat grinder is great, as well as the “store” at the end. Toy Factory – I’ll start off by saying the song is annoying. The maze is fabulous! They are really creative. I don’t want to spoil it, so I won’t say what happens. Cornstalkers – This is a very long maze. I like how it runs along the backside, behind Grizzly. There are many scares in here. Camp Gonna Getcha – Last year, this wasn’t operating regularly. It is a little different because you’re in the log ride, but it is enjoyable. If you don’t want to get wet, don’t ride it. Werewolf Canyon – Probably my favorite maze next to CarnEvil. The werewolves are great and they added some chainsaws to really make this scary. The shows: Ed Alonzo – If you have seen him before, there probably isn’t much of a change. He is hilarious and crewd! Everyone enjoyed him. If you have kids, you might want to see the show before they see it. Shocking Side Show of Freaks – This is a new show for this year. There is fire and fireworks. What more could you want? Dave Hill’s Haunted Hypnotics – We didn’t watch this show. It was going on as we were leaving. If you like hypnosis, this is the show for you! Bang! Primevil Percussion – A welcome change throughout the park. They don’t stay in one place. This is a MUST for Northern Californians to go to. Time for the pics! and such a great price... Derek might be happy with this news. Hi Jack...I can't be any funnier than that. We had a photo taken with the super duper bad dude! 3-D glasses are a must for CarnEvil A ton of fog This is the next best maze. Some people might like it better then the werewolf canyon. Hi, I'm Ed Alonzo and I cut my arm off for fun. Ed Alonzo puts on a great show, and he does it 3 times a night! A little entertainment while we were in line. One of my favorite mazes by far. but luckily I escaped! She was taking me to the bridge... I said beg! On your knees and beg for you life, Rick Please don't eat me... Oh NO!!! She put me in shackles and dragged me around. We rode this as our last ride of the night. You do get wet. Bird-woman, another great character. Don't let this guy scare you at the end. We weren't able to do this maze last year. It is really long, but very well done! It isn't a CGA update without Survivor, the Ride. Just inside Toy Factory A great new edition. Hopefully the song won't drive you nuts. Full group photo. L-R Steve, Courtney, me, Gyendolynne, Susan, and the 2 boys are Nick and Colton Always fun to see this guy get shocked. Coming up on one of the scare zones. This is by the Demon. Decorations throughout the park Really gruesome Club Blood, stripper poles and scantily clad women. Anything else to say? This is Bang! Privevil Percussion. A "captive" audience... Getting the "kill all humans" instructions for the night. and ghouls... more ghouls... These guys have been waiting for the carousel for a long time! Nick is giving the "You don't scare me" look, but I think he is a little scared. The water wasn't blood red this year. The kids wanted their photo taken with him. This was one of the best costumes. They had a bunch of ghouls running around. The sign once you enter the park. A picture with the hearse out front. Susan and her family showed up too! We start off at Bennigan's The final event for Mike, was to have 2 $1 bills stapled to his chest by audience members. If you had a $20, you can staple it to his forehead. Did you get enough fire in this update? More flames and fire... Final event for George was lighting 100 firecrackers on his stomach. had an audience member pull it out. He swallows a sword and... Fire is always enjoyable. Finally, a sledgehammer to break up the blocks. You don't like 1? How about 2 with some flames? How about a cement block on top of your stomach? First, lay down on this bed of nails. Our final show for the night was the Shocking Side Show of Freaks.
  13. WOW, WOW, WOW, I didn't realize by making a joke about "finding" the Mikestery cards at the Big Mike Hotel and posting pictures about it would create such controversy and cause me to be branded a "cheater." I guess you can't have a little fun here. Mike, sorry about causing a stir. I had fun staying at the exclusive Big Mike Hotel and visiting the Big Mike Headquarters. Hopefully Big Mike will talk about how Big Mike is feeling about this. BTW, I didn't eat the ducky either....
  14. I'll throw my hat in the ring for Fantasy Football. I also found 3 extremely hard to get Mikestery game pieces. The photos are below... As always, you must leave with the host and a behind the scenes shot from Big Mike Headquarters! Just for safe keeping, I decide to eat the next ducky. Cool, Six Flags Great Adventure. I was there on this day. Yep... Lucky me! There is number 3. Liseberg, that was tough. All I need is to find a third one and I don't have to find that ducky anymore. Yep, number 2! Is that a second one in the same place? WOW! Power Park, and I didn't have to leave the country. Yep, one of the Mikestery cards. Woah! What's this?
  15. I just got a chance to look at your pics of dropping off Lucky Dog. I would say Big Mike Headquarters sprung for a new Hot Rod for the big man!
  16. 2 ducks... I told Jim that you went to the hot dog eating contest. I sent him the link!
  17. ^Yep, his shyness came out during that interview. I had to prod him into an on camera interview at PGA too. The photos are from me, Scott (BeemerBoy), and Rich (HotFuzz).
  18. Great TR Scott! Very entertaining as usual. Thanks for the photo of the smashed Manta penny machine. I will have to get those when we get back there sometime.
  19. I received my package!!! Thank you my friend. Thanks so much dude!!! The Big Mike Road Show Shirt (2008), Yankees cup, magnet schedule, and smashed penny! From Big Mike World Headquarters!!!
  20. Great job on the report, my friend! I wish I could have been there with you at Yankees' Stadium. I can "almost" hear you singin' New York, New York...
  21. I can't believe it has been a year since we all met. It was a great time at SFOG. I'm looking forward to this year's trek that you are on Mike! Scott, it has been a while. I wish we had some spare time this year to get out there, but it looks like we won't be able to get there until next year.
