I'm really not worried at all. It'll work.

Naah, I wouldn't complain to you guys or bitch about Disneyland CM's or the park in itself. I know I'm taking a risk when I do this and was just trying to get a feel for the odds of its success. For everyones information, I did call guest services at the park, said I was a resident buying 2-day park hopper passes and she said that they do not check ID at the turnstyles. The only time they do check is if you are purchasing at the ticket booths. Figured I'd have my kids enter before me whoopin' and hollerin' about how excited they are about being there... you know, a distraction.... just in case.

Convinced my dad to buy 2-day park hopper tickets and have them delivered via mail. Price is perfect for what I need and I doubt they'll check my ID at the gate as well. EDIT: I had thought about getting the 2-Fer but I want the option to go to both parks on both days. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I'm planning to visit the park(s) on April 6th and 7th but am on a very tight budget. I see that on Disneyland.com you can order "Resident" 2-day park hopper tickets for $84.00 ages 3-9 and $94.00 ages 10 and up. Now, though I do live in California I'm not a So. Cal. resident but my father is (Upland, CA 91786) but he is not coming into the park with us. Disneyland.com evidently lets you purchase these Resident 2-Day Park Hopper tickets online and you can even request to have your tickets e-mailed so you can go straight to the main gate. With that basis of information in mind, here are my questions: 1. If I have these "e-tickets" printed from an e-mail, do I need to show proof of residency when I get to the main gate? 2. If answer to #1 is "Yes", can my father buy our tickets for us at the park even if he isn't coming into the park with us? Would appreciate any feedback on this matter as well as any additional information or ideas I may be missing. TTFN, ~JayBe

Best day to visit Disneyland on Spring Break?
mejaybe replied to mejaybe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
All useful advice so thanks to everyone who replied. Think I'm going to go on Thursday, not because it's gonig to be any slower but because it's what fits the schedule. Glad to hear it will be open later though. We always get there early and stay until closing. We never watch the parades. Typically pick the rides furthest away from them and take advantage of the short wait times. Will also take advantage of the fast passes as much as possible. -
Best day to visit Disneyland on Spring Break?
mejaybe replied to mejaybe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Based on the research I did, spring break is the week BEFORE easter (6th - 10th). Does that change anybody's opinion? -
I'm taking my kids on a camping trip in So. Cal. during their spring break. We will not be camping the entire week though and am considering surprising them by doing a single day park hopper on the way home. We'll be down there from April 6th through April 10th and I have two questions: 1.) Which day do you think will be the slowest considering it's spring break that whole week? 2.) Disneyland.com does not have park hours posted that far in advance, any idea how late they are open in April? Would appreciate anybody's help on this. Gracias, ~JayBe

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (TR Video)
mejaybe replied to mejaybe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Never been on the spinner at KBF but have been on the one at the amusement park inside the Mall of America in Minnesota. I forget its name but I actually preferred it over Tony Hawk's simply because it seemed smoother. I'm not much for spinning rides anyway so who am I to judge? -

I went on a Sunday as well but they hadn't put up the stuff for Fright Fest yet. Only one train on Roar as well but less crowds made for shorter lines on everything except Tony Hawk. That guy sure knows how to draw an audience. -

That would indeed be the incredibly tallented Mr. Rick Allen! I really thought the music fit the day and worked out great for the video. My apologies to those who don't appreciate the 80's as much as us geezers. -
Hey everybody. Long time viewer but I don't post too much. Took my kids to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom about a month ago. This is really the first time that they've both been old enough to ride the coasters together. My little one was sooo excited to finally be tall enough! The day started out with Tony Hawk's Big Spin which, I have to admit, takes up most of the video. The on-ride cams weren't working that day though so I did my best to hold my Nikon Coolpix steady enough to capture all the action. We hit Roar! immediately after then saw a few shows before going to Cobra and Boomerang. All in all, it was a very fun day. The video turned out better than I had hoped but I'll let you all be the judge of that. http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=7ov9Ht-rhCo Sorry but I don't know how to use the "YouTube" button when posting the above link. Enjoy! ~JayBe

Sorry Rob, gotta correct you on the first pic. Luke didn't say, "Almost theeerrre." It was Red Six. -
Thanks a million Rob. That does help.

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Knott's Berry Farm in early October. Does anybody have a recommendation of a decent hotel near by that's also reasonably priced?

I agree with the others. Not a big fan of the colors but your landscaping is looking good! Also, you've got angled sidewalks near your entrance but why didn't you use angled fences to match? ShyGuy's circus packs have these included and it would look so much better.
