Awesome pics, makes me wish I lived in So Cal again. SFMM was always a favorite park of mine. I could ride the gold rusher all day!

West Coast Bash 2010 Photo & Video Updates!
mejaybe replied to Hhappy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Looks like a really fun time, would love to be able to go next year but think I'd have to quit my job to make it work. Seeing those pics of Knott's brings back a lot of memories. The Corkscrew was the very first roller coaster I've ever been on. My parents actually had to drag me on the ride... I was sooooo glad they did! Been hooked ever since. -

I know you've probably been asked this question before Hanno, but what kind of camera do you use for these great pics? -

Flight Deck Model

Easy kids, easy. 1. It's just a toy. 2. I didn't build it, I just photographed it at a fair. 3. It's just a toy. -
Flight Deck Model

Unfortunately I never got to see it in action so I'm not 100% sure. If I had to guess though, I'd say it controls the motor to the lift hill, the brakes at the station and also all the lights. -
During a trip to the Alameda County Fair yesterday, a particular exhibit caught my eye that I thought might be worth posting. I've seen other working models of coasters before but none that were the likeness of a ride I've been on before. So, without further delay, I present to you the miniaturized version of Top Gu... errr, Flight Deck! I leave you with one final shot. Top Gu... I mean, umm mini Flight Deck... through the trees! They even took the time to add a section of Rip Roaring Rapids. I think the little people in the tube are either sleeping or dead. Overview from the opposite side of the table. Mmm, sexy! They nailed the design really well. Here's one for all you lift-hill enthusiasts. Flight Deck at California's Great America! Although I'm sure when this was built it was still called Top Gun at Paramount's Great America. That curious little gentleman in the background is my youngest son Gabriel... say hi Gabriel!

Bay Area Bash! Six Flags Discovery Kingdom!
mejaybe replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dammit!!!! I was so excited to see this happening and thought I could simply take the day off work and finally meet everybody for the first time. Alas, we have vacation blackout for that day and I will not be able to attend. I live in Fremont, CA which is only about a 45 min. drive to SFDK so that makes it all the more disappointing. Have a great time everybody. Perhaps some other day when there's a California's Great America meet or maybe next year at SFDK. I'll meet you all some day! ~JayBe -
Had chocolate on my fingers... my bad.

I'm not sure what the hearts represent. The user manual for the game doesn't really say anything about it. If anybody else can shed some light on this I'd be happy to know.

You play almost all day? What do you do for a living and how do you pull that off???? It's funny because I've come across modern furniture several times at Nooks. What do you need? I'll check my catalog and order it for you if you want.

Sorry, I was on tonight but after 9:00 p.m. Did you add my FC?
-
Cool. I usually play after 6:00 p.m. and also on the weekends. There's a fishing tournament in my town this Sat. We have all fruit in our town and a Nookington's.
