1. 1) Debatable 2) Parks don't make decisions based on what enthusiasts want (and thank god for that). Lightning Rod doesn't have any inversions, while it's not an Iron Horse it really doesn't make much of a difference what track type they're using. Sometimes parks ask for coasters without inversions. Okay but most RMCs have inversions, including one in the same chain as KD, so it's reasonable to infer that this one will too.
2. Personally, I would like to see another I-Box conversion without inversions. Not gonna happen. Also RMC inversions are a lot better than your typical roller coaster inversions.
3. What do you guys think of this concept?
4. Something interesting: the 50s theme appears to be going bye-bye in that back section of Candy Apple Grove, as evident by the removal of the props in and around the diner and the removal of theming in that one shop. Can't say I'm too upset. It seemed very tacky. Hopefully this means that the diner becomes a better eatery.
5. There's a better chance Six Flags sells Magic Mountain to Cedar Fair.
6. Yeah I highly doubt Cedar Fair will build a $20+ million wing coaster in the same year as two RMCs and a possible Intamin impulse (CGA). #ZizIsNothingMoreThanARumor Its not cedar fair that decides, its the individual parks! Actually Cedar Fair does decide. Otherwise Dorney and Valleyfair would have new coasters by now.
7. California's Great America is getting Six Flags Great America's Vertical Velocity. Can't you see? For 2018 that's beyond crazy. For 2019 it's highly possible if they don't get a coaster in 2018.

9. Oh the delusion of some enthusiasts (sorry). First of all, Canada's Wonderland is not getting a coaster in 2018 period. If they were construction would have already started. Second, Cedar Fair doesn't add multiple coasters every year. Third of all, no park gets a coaster every couple of years unless you're Cedar Point. Fourth, Cedar Fair doesn't add coasters for the reason of anniversaries. You're not thinking from a practical standpoint. Cedar Fair can't just blow money like Six Flags did and go bankrupt.
10. They're getting TWO RMCs which are both bound to be amazing rides simply because... I mean... they're RMCs, a 70 MPH double launching Intamin (if we go by the description and map) and a first of it's kind coaster that could literally be almost anything. What more could you possibly want? I take it that you guys didn't get my sarcasm.
11. So what I'm getting is the two major coasters are the RMCs and the others are mini-coasters. Kind of makes the 4 coasters in 2018 seem meh overall.
12. Cedar Fair has trademarked "The Ledge", according to r/rollercoasters. Could hint at a possible dive coaster at Knott's (probably the size of Barron 1898 or so) but who knows.
13. I love the sounds Mystic Timbers makes up the lift hill and before the shed.
14. I hope they allow more trees to grow around where the RMC is. That thing could have potential for an amazing night ride.
15. I can see a dive coaster fitting well in that area. I don't think for 2018 but 2019 along with CGA's hyper (CF usually does two coasters per year). However one wildcard if if SFMM is also building a dive machine.
16. Question: Why is Six Flags so reluctant to RMC The Boss? It should be a prime candidate for it.
17. Why is it changed to 2018 though? That rumor has always been for 2018 if i remember right. Though, i got a feeling 2018 is probably going to be an off year. I think our best luck for a large new addition will be 2019+. Doubt the park gets anything major as Cedar Fair is tied up with two RMCs and CGA's hyper at the moment but who knows.

19. In other news, check this out: www.screamscape.com/html/worlds_of_fun.htm It says that Worlds of Fun is slated to get a Sky Rocket II in 2018. Wonder if it will come true.
20. Same here. As a long-time Huss Condor fan, I am truly shocked, appalled, and deeply crestfallen by the lack of, well... ANYTHING concerning Falcon's Fury. No test runs, no pictures of the gondolas, no pictures of the tower, no nothing. I personally fail to see what Busch Garden Tampa's Intamin Drop Tower has to do with Worlds of Fun, but if you want pictures, In full operation, too!
21. ^Kind of interesting how they're going about it. This could be the first ever part conversion, part ground-up RMC. I think this is going to provide an El Toro-type experience where the focus is on ejector airtime but with 2-3 inversions. And for the name/theme I can see another interesting name with a backstory like Cedar Fair has been doing recently. I really like the name "Desperado" as it perfectly describes an RMC but I don't know if CF would want it to share the name of a pretty significant hypercoaster.
