  1. Obviously the RMC is objectively better but the GCI is a completely different experience; a smooth but twisty true woodie. Like I said, you want proof, look at SFDK's conversion of Roar.
  2. I mean we were told we'd never get an RMC either. Cedar Fair really likes the company so it would not surprise me to see KD get a product from them sometime in the future. How far in the future we talkin? Go on... I don't know, maybe 2022 or 2023. I think the RMC will improve the park's ROI enough.
  3. If not then Grizzly should get a refurbishment of some sort, either by GCI like Ghostrider or in house like Thunderhawk. I like it but it could be better if it was less brutally shaky. GCIs and RMCs are nothing alike. One feels like a wooden coaster and the other feels like a steel coaster. Otherwise Discovery Kingdom would have kept Roar instead of converting it into The Joker.
  4. The park has FOUR woodies and one of them is currently being RMC'd. But one more woodie? What makes the other three "non-bonafide" woodies? The definition of bonafide is "real". Is this like when enthusiasts complain about El Toro - the completely wooden coaster made entirely out of wood - is not reeeaaaallly a wooden coaster? Really it has two because Iron Hurler will not be wooden and Woodstock Express is a kids coaster (albeit a very good one). I mean a GG or GCI woodie like Prowler or Mystic Timbers. And like I said I can live with a refurbish of Grizzly too. I do not believe that Boldikus counted Hurler. 1. Grizzly 2. Woodstock Express 3. Rebel Yell A 4. Rebel Yell B All ARE bonafide wooden coasters. So what if they're on the older, or less thrilling side? Do I think the park could benefit from a modern woodie? Yes. But it's not necessary right now. If not then Grizzly should get a refurbishment of some sort, either by GCI like Ghostrider or in house like Thunderhawk. I like it but it could be better if it was less brutally shaky.

  6. Words cannot describe how excited I am to have an RMC less than two hours away from me, and in the same park as Volcano and especially I305. This will give the park the airtime machine they've been missing. Really the only thing I'd want to see from here on out at this park is maybe a bonafide woodie like Mystic Timbers (GCI return of Grizzly maybe?). Otherwise Kings Dominion's lineup is 100% set both coaster and flat ride wise.
  7. The teaser put out in October literally says it's for 2018. End of argument.
  8. Honestly Anaconda is nowhere near as bad as Shockwave and Hurler were. Unlike the latter two, it has a great layout, but has a certain way it needs to be ridden. Shockwave was just a nut killer and Hurler was an everything killer.
  9. Is it me or did Anaconda suddenly get smoother? Because when I rode it last Saturday it was buttery smooth.
  10. What exactly is this "fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo" thing?
  11. Bruh Okay maybe I was wrong but I could have sworn a week ago the supports were still there.
  12. The aerial shots posted two pages back told us this. Nah the track was removed back then but not the entire structure.
  13. What is it with Ohio and coaster innuendos? We've got the longest woodie in the world? Longest woodie in the world, Magnum XL-200, vibrating track, Mystic Timbers, the shape of TTD...
  14. What is it with Ohio and coaster innuendos?
  15. In other news (and no this is NOT an April Fools' Joke) the entire first turn of Hurler has been removed. This project is turning out to be bigger than expected.
  16. Still though, it makes the whining about 2017 that much more pathetic. Great thing about this RMC is that it will satisfy us all for the next few years.
  17. In all seriousness, it did work because now we are getting a freaking RMC next year.
  18. I know what's in the shed. It's a launched RMC giga coaster in the dark. Unfortunately it only works once per month.
  19. I can't complain. I love Banshee's color scheme. Although Leviathan, Gatekeeper, and Fury had virtually nothing to do with red or purple.
  20. Is it me or does the track look more purple than red?
  21. I hope they get rid of that hideous station. Cedar Fair should build a cool looking one as they've done recently.
  22. And that's before you realize that the park also has Volcano and Dominator. Kings Dominion basically has everything you could ask for in a park. Even their worst coaster (Anaconda) is still pretty thrilling. Hey, better than last year when the schadenfreude over Planet Snoopy was palpable.
  23. So wait: can you not ride Revolution without the VR? If so then Six Flags can go screw themselves. It's a complete waste of people's time and money to have to deal with giant eye devices.
  24. Can somebody shrink this so I can make it my avatar? Here ya go:
