  1. Coral is Xcelerator's footprint. It is approximately 435 feet by 195 feet or about 85,000 square feet (I rounded up). Yellow is roughly Boom and Rip's old footprint. It is approximately 420 feet by 145 feet or about 61,000 square feet. Light blue is probably the max room they have to work with. It is approximately 540 feet by 245 feet at the two widest points of the "L". I'm not going to figure out the square footage. To compare, Silver Bullet sits on a fat roughly "L" shaped piece of ground that's about by 515 feet by 405 feet at the two widest points of the "L". I'm therefore not concerned about them fitting a decent sized ride in that area. You all do realize that part of that space is going to be filled up with a queue and station, right? They don't have all that space for actual track. Plus wasn't there a planned new restaurant also going somewhere in that space? My guess is that it will be an S&S shuttle of some kind because realistically (as in not fanboy pipe dreams) that's the only "new" thing that would fit, unless they are planning to cram in a bare bones Raptor/T-Rex.
  2. Where are they going to find the space for a T-Rex? Boomerang sits on a really small plot of land. On the other hand the Raptor has awful capacity
  3. Remember we don't know if the coaster at Kennywood is going to be an RMC. It 100% will be. They have been at Kennywood many times.
  4. Let's be real: whatever coaster Knott's is getting is going to be ultra-compact because the space they have is very limited. The problem with a Raptor is that the capacity isn't big enough for KBF plus RMC is probably already booked with both RMC conversions and projects at Kennywood and Silverwood.
  5. Anyone here think that Dollywood should just cut its losses with the launch and install a chain lift? RMC's is almost as fast as a cable lift anyways. If not then make the launch completely flat and forget the incline, because the only coaster that has succeded at that is Maverick, ironically also an LSM. Eh I don't know how serious the trouble would be. This is not to the extent of Arrow or TOGO or even Intamin in some cases.
  6. I hope you're talking about Hypersonic because Volcano is not a mechanical nightmare. Does it have its downtime? Yes, but usually for 20 minutes and then it's up and running again. Now Mean Streak and RMC's launch on the other hand...
  7. Damn I screwed up. I remember someone telling me that usually they're on Fridays. With that being said I'm highly skeptical of the 8/17 date.
  8. The one problem with that date is that it's a Thursday. Usually roller coaster announcements are on a Friday, especially for Cedar Fair.
  9. So this one dude on Facebook claims that the #KD2018 announcement date will be August 17. Now I know that he's most likely full of crap (and has been talking to the Dippin Dot's guy too much), but just in case, has anyone heard about this date?
  10. Anyone find it scary how the park has two launch coasters that are 20 years old, yet they feel like they're recent?
  11. Winner faces "The Hurler" next year. Loser actually goes the way of the Hurler next year. Which makes me sad The Anaconda chickened out.
  12. Here, and if you want people to get into a bidding war then try this too. Tell them you're an enthusiast and be sure to include your screen name on your application. The phone should start ringing off the hook. They liked my idea. They'll start in August of 2018.
  13. Anyone think that Volcano should switch to an LSM launch instead of an LIM? Would improve the reliability.
  14. Um Intimidator has no ejector at all. It's floater.
  15. So is it safe to assume that the RMC will be the 2nd best coaster in the park? Because I know a lot of people still love Volcano and/or Dominator as the second wheel to I305. Anyways great photos! Glad you enjoyed yourself.
  16. With the amount of space Knott's has to work their coaster won't be expensive regardless.
  17. I had the strangest dream last night: Kings Island announced a spinning coaster for 2018 and there was outrage everywhere on the internet. Bill even commented "welp, so much for Intamin".
  18. I prefer the Sky Rocket II model, that ejector air you get in the first couple rows is insane. The impulse coasters are okay, definitely prefer Wicked Twister over Vertical Velocity that ride is garbage The SFDK one? How is that garbage?
  19. Actually you would because no construction has started for either park.
  20. Oh god no! DHX is a cancerous company. They make crap such as Tellatubbies, Caillou, and every other annoying kids show. This is truly comedic gold.
  21. Why are you guys all of a sudden hating inversions?
  22. That was more of a hyperbole. I didn't actually mean it was statistically impossible.
