  1. What a let down, I don't consider a few kiddie rides and a swing RIDES.... Poor Montana.. Is this all they have to offer?
  2. People who are determined to wipe the seat on a water ride before they sit down.... You're gonna get wet!! Inline smokers. "Please excuse me my party is "ahead" of you" line excuse Scooters
  3. You can only enter once and if you do multiple entries it will disqualify you. Also it's one per household, your entry puts you in a drawing to win once a day in February for a trip for 4 to Universal Studios.. Round trip airfare and the 7 day park pass..
  4. WDI has been testing a screen to cover up the Yeti during the rehab if they were to do it without shutting down the ride for a long period of time. It would just project an image of the Yeti for the time being. What it comes down to is park officials are JUST not wanting to send it down for a rehab because they know it's one of their only pulls for attendance and would dramatically decrease the park flow. Attendance jumped significantly once EE opened in 06'. A lot of people blame the Yeti for this failure and to some extent it is part of the problem. As people may or may not know, EE is separated structurally into three sections. Mountain facade, Vekoma track, and Yeti animatronic. Once or if they do get the green light to fix it, they obviously will put it back in A mode by reconstructing the foundation. From what I have heard from some CM's is that WDI still has the shipping crates in the mountain in case they needed to store him for awhile.. But something tells me that won't be happening!
  5. The Yeti animatronic is not the part that is broken. It's the foundation below him that is fractured and needs to be replaced. To do this they would need to take out Mr. Yeti and rebuild the foundation he is supported by.. Disney doesn't want to close down EE for any sort of rehab in the distant future in terms of it might kill attendance or guest draw to the park.. Hence they aren't jumping to fix Mr. Yeti..
  6. So this ride for sure! Has at least two stories to it...? Interesting.. Great photo TR!
  7. Taking out the vortex is like taking out one of the huge projection screens or show elements at Spider-Man. They are both needed to move the story to the next stage, or even add to the realism factor. I hope I get to experience it one more time next Saturday if that is the case!!! Justin
  8. No ) I dont think so... Did you vote today?
  9. No I can't find my iphone right now... Would you like to get stuck atop Top Thrill Dragster in a stall?
  10. No. Did you watch the 3rd presidential debate?
  11. " RESET!"..... * " RECHECK RESTRAINTS " "RESET!"......*
  12. Voted! I have to say you two have to be the best dressed couple anyways!
  13. As the rest of you I can't judge any attraction just off a video of some person who posted it on youtube. BTW it seems like all you tube videos have a horrible compression filter on it. Because it turns everyone of them into a muddy mess! But back to the ride, Like Rob said, I felt like I needed to lower my expectations. After watching the video the ride movements seemed to be really repetitive. When it came to the layout, it was just a switchback all the way through wasn't it? This kind of took out any of the mystery that I would of felt even riding it. It just seems like the ambient noise level would be through the roof! It's almost like if everyone started talking in the same room but only had cardboard boxes between them. The video quality I'm sure is up there, I didn't really think PhiliharMagic was junk, so why would this next addition be? I wonder how the responsiveness on the trigger is? Does it actually show up as you pull it? Over all I will make my own decision in June when I visit DCA. Thanks! Justin
  14. I have been planning a trip to CA for awhile now, and I want to visit S.F. Magic Mountain. Is there a day of the week, during the June month, that would be the prime time to visit? Crowd wise, I didn't know if CA residents didn't go during a certain day or whatever. Monday morning? Thanks to anyone who responds! Justin!
  15. Single Rider lines ^ including Spider-man ^ work great in the early afternoon but by 5:00 become just as long as the regular lines because of the fact that now everyone is aware of it. People just hop their families into those lines and they fill up as well. Dueling Dragons sometimes uses their "Re-entry/Ride Again" door that is right before you leave the building it usually is locked because it is never needed. If you don't care where you sit, or if you are with your family, single-rider lines are the way to go! My favorite is MIB Alien Attack over at U.S. because I personally believe you are to caught up in the action to pay attention to your family anyways, so if you sit seperate, there really are no drawbacks!
  16. I believe this has the potential to become a great addition to the already less trendy Universal Orlando. I don't really think they are reinventing the wheel here, but who said they were? If done right, it could serve as a substantial crowd puller.
  17. I have ridden Top Thrill Dragster along with other major fast roller coasters in the front row with contacts and have had no problems.
  18. Hey guys! I was wondering if you could give me some feedback on my video, because to me this is a learning experience and if you could give me something to work off of, that would complete MY experience, top 20 or not. Thanks Justin
