  2. That turnaround looks great! Can't wait to see what this ride looks like when construction is completed!
  3. The only benefit I see to this is to finally have a reason to say "Give me a Pepsi Free."
  4. ^I'd imagine the vertical lift is a far more effective system when it comes to the coaster's hourly throughput... I'd guess the elevator lift was probably going to be more limiting in that regard.
  5. ^You just mastered the Six Flags business strategy in one statement.
  6. ^^I kind of felt the same way about 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea over at Tokyo DisneySea. The ride is amazing as it is, and while it is neat to control the sub's lights to see a little bit more at the end, it didn't really add much to the attraction. That being said, most of the nonsensical elements and attractions (I'm looking at you Storm Rider) at the Tokyo Disneyland Resort are better than most other attractions Disney has built elsewhere.
  7. Looking good! Can't wait to see more progress on this park!
  8. I loved National Harbor when I visited earlier last year. It is a really beautifully arranged area that seemed to attract a good mix of locals and tourists. This will certainly be a solid addition to an already neat location in D.C.
  9. ^They just haven't taken down the facade yet. The rest of the building is used for other purposes throughout the year.
  10. So awesome to see this park continue to grow Shane! Plus, Shark benches and Dole Whip make a potent team for an extremely awesome water park!
  11. ^You mean Pepsi branded bottled water!
  12. Bruce Hall of REO Speedwagon recently visited SeaWorld Orlando to see firsthand what the SeaWorld parks really are like, and it appears he has had a change of heart!

  15. I'd imagine that this resort's master plan has changed majorly at least once, if not a few times in the years since it first opened. The benefit Hong Kong Disneyland has behind it is a great deal of workable land still to be used and the investment from the local government to push growth along. I also think the addition of such a large, new hotel speaks to the expectations that all parties involved have in the future attendance for the resort... Why build a 750 room hotel without the expectation that those new rooms, plus all existing rooms can and will be filled consistently, right?
  16. ^Maybe it is just me but these trains look look a lot to me like Maurer-Sohne's X-Car.
  17. Zamperla has posted a few photos of work being done on Thunderbolt, including the assembly of the ride's vertical lift hill tower and development of the coaster's unique trains. http://ow.ly/user/ZamperlaSpa?t=photo
