I submitted my vote for Wildebeest. I loved it when I rode it last summer. -

Nope. Because even failure is still a form of success. If you look up to somebody, and then they look up to somebody else, and then that person looks up to you, what does that say? -
Not yet. Can you come up with a better question than this one?

Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
XII replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I put Voyage as #2. I don't see why anyone would think that we're purposefully manipulating a pool, or for that matter, if we were, why they'd be so angry about it. It's not like your actual opinion towards the ride will change, whether you ranked Voyage as #1 or #500, how Voyage ranked in the poll won't, or at least shouldn't effect how you think of it. It's just a for fun poll, it's not scientific data. Kevin"Oh, and I'd pity anyone who'd manipulate a poll like this, not get angry."Bujold -
Anyone else prefer Vekoma SLC's?
XII replied to jmccalip's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yep. They've built two Inverts that are lift powered. One in Finland, and the other in Spain. The only launched Invert they've done however, is Volcano. Looks like really good ride. -

While I can't speak for Silver Comet, Comet is definitely underrated. It has strong ejector air, wild mouse like turns, and it was fairly smooth for a wooden coaster when I last three years ago. And I'm pretty sure that it didn't get really rough since then. You'll probably really like it. -

They collect them and keep a count. We have credit counts and stores have coupon counts. Does Target have a higher coupon count and K Mart? -
Not even close. Was yesterday a good day?

I'm posting this from the Cyber Cafe and managed to get on Backwards Superman before it started to rain. First, Backwards Superman kicks ass!!! Turning the trains around really managed to make it a better ride. And yes, it does have those arm guards that are on Tower of Terror. While it is annoying since you can't move your arms, it's not really too big of a deal.

Favorite theme park memory of the 2010 year

Going to Silver Dollar City on the TPR Middle America. Everything about that park was amazing, plus getting stung by a bee on Wildfire definitely made it more memorable. -
Nope. Not even a sliver of talent. Do you have anything interesting to say?

Cruising with Theme Park Review - Feb 2011
XII replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Holy Crap! All of the food in that report looks so good. I really need to get on one of these cruises someday. -
I'd recommend Citricos, in the Grand Floridian Hotel. It's a nice sit-down restaurant with some very good food. It's also convenient to get to since the monorail does stop at the Grand Floridian Hotel. I'd get reservations early though.

Nope. I got stuck on a kickass dark ride. If all expenses were paid, would you do this? http://www.bungee.com/bzapp/volcano/index.html

SeaWorld San Diego (SWSD) Discussion Thread
XII replied to CoasterJunkie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have been waiting for this day for many many years. Sea World San Diego finally gets a real coaster, and it looks pretty damn good. I'm gonna have to head down there next year and try it out. -
Not yet. Would you give up TPR for a year for $500?

Vanilla Would you rather have it be 120 degrees outside or -20 degrees outside?

I saw some lockers hop by today. Knowing this opportunity, I grabbed the lockers, sold the medicine to some doctors on the black market, convinced some moron that the leftover goo was shampoo, and sold it to him. Later that night, I dined on fluffy fluffy bunnies.
