Im really enjoying all of these reports. Ive never seen any of these parks. Are those american flags going up the lift on the coaster at Slagharen?

Its funny how many roller coaster enthusiasts seem to know EVERYTHING about the inner workings of rides, safety, operations etc. I love roller coasters and parks however the last thing I would ever do is try to spout off random theories to people, especially on this site where there are people in the business who will forget more than I will ever know. BTW great job moderating Robb. Keep it up.

Not knowing whether or not the cable will snap and hit your face, or that the car will derail.....hell yea, makes the ride all that more scary.

one time I was riding Spiderman (IOA) and the girl I was with said she saw Michael Jackson. In all of my vast theme park knowledge I told her that the park wouldnt have him there at that time during normal hours. I was very wrong. It indeed was Michael and a bunch of kids. They got on the scoop in front of us. Toward the end of the ride the ride estopped. I knew they were letting him off and clearing him out of the exit station. I was wrong about that too. When we got to the exit platform he was right there talking to everybody, shaking hands and taking pictures. He was actually very approachable and nice. We followed him into the gift shop and watched while he and the kids proceeded to walk around the store just pointing at things while PA's would gather all he told them to get. Security herded us out of the store and closed it while he was there. We told 2 or 3 people passing by that Michael was there and in 1 minute people were climbing up the walls trying to get a view.

I think they should leave it up and build 2 dueling coasters to weave in and out of the structure

I dont understand your arguement that it would be more human to kill the whale. You cant blame a killer whale for doing what comes natural to it. As for not displaying animals and that its "sick", if we applied that logic to all animals then we shouldnt raise cows for beef, we shouldnt fish for food, keep dogs and cats for pets. Robb would not be able to make his hot wings. While Sea World exhibits fish for profit, they also use the profits and the interaction as research to save and help all sorts of marine life. Many of us would never have the understanding or the care for these animals if we hadnt seen them at Sea World. With the "release all of them" logic we wouldnt know about these wonderful animals until greenpeace rams the Japanese boat that killing them with no disregard to future populations. There is a lot of good that comes from their research as well as what BGA does for African animals. There is no difference in my mind between the value of a whale or a horse or a dog or any animal for that manner. There is always going to be danger involved with working with animals, and the trainers at the parks know this above all else. I for one think the benefits far outweigh the negatives.

Darkastle..... I wouldnt think that would work so close to Spiderman. There are no true airtime machines in florida so I'm hoping for one.

I'd also like to send thanks to Rob, Elissa, and all of the Six Flags staff. The whole day was far and above any event I've attended. I met alot of very cool people and its nice to finally meet people who are from the site. My legs are still killing me from all of the walking from ERT, and I for one think its pretty surreal to be at Magic Mountain for the first time and not only have all of the rides open, but be able to get solo rides on 6 different ones. It just doest happen like that here in Florida. Thank you once again guys for all that you do.

I heard they are going to let us rebuild Flashback using only Psyclone parts

Is anyone planning on going to Winter Coaster Solace the day before. I'm flying in solo from Florida for both events. It would be cool to meet up with somebody.

Ill be making my first trip out to Cali for this one. Does anyone know of any good hotels to stay at. Im really looking forward to meeting everyone.
