  1. I believe it does yes. The Jinan park is open. And although the woodie seems to have failed its Chinese safety test here's some awesome onride pictures from a Chinese user on Weibo Looks like its full of airtime too. That inversion is just a bonus Weibo via VHC
  2. Welcome to the forums Lallal. Thanks for the construction pictures. Always good to see a new ride like this go up. Too many parks neglect that mid level coaster for families. The one at Vialand is excellent so I have high hopes for this.
  3. Are we sure it means lift hill and not first drop? Starting Hill might just be a bad translation. Even then it doesnt make sense unless its 51 degrees beyond vertical. "world’s steepest steel rollercoaster featuring a starting hill inclined by 51 degrees " Maybe they just mean the lift is inclined and it's 51 degrees C outside
  4. This is getting interesting. 3 coasters seem to be going for the same record in the next 2 years. All from different companies. Macks coaster at Lewa World in China is set to have at least a 50m loop. Opening end of this year. Premier's launched coaster at Wanda Hefei also in China is set to have a 55m tall loop opening end of 2016. All 3 sound like good rides too.
  5. Wow that came out of left field a bit. Hot Go is the park already home to Time Traveller that excellent looking terrain wooden coaster from M&V/The Gravity Group. They are also getting three new Vekoma coasters this year including a custom launched coaster so this park is certainly on the up.
  6. Up goes the Intamin mega coaster in Nanchang It's tough to see what colour the track is but it I think its sort of orangy red.
  7. Been a while but here's an update on the Wuhu Fantawild Cultural Heritage Park park. I just came across a TON of pictures which can be found here but I have attached the best below. The Jinan Cultural Park was supposed to open yesterday. Expect a POV of the O&B looping woodie MVR built there in the next few days. The entrance to the park. The park is themed more to traditional Chinese myths and Culture than the usual recycle western themes seen at previous Fantawild parks. There will be the usual selection of dark rides and cinemas than Fantawild is famous for. The central tower is the main landmark and can be found at the Jinan park too. The woodie in the distance. The indoor mine train can be found in a volcano. More of the pretty decent themeing going in. Wooden coaster time. Another new ride from Martin & Vleminckx and The Gravity Group. This ride packs more of a twister layout than it's out and back sister ride in Jinan. It's one of 3 inverting woodies heading to China this year. I've ridden 3 of the MVR woodies in China so far and they are all excellent. Turn out of the station. view across the park. More of the station. The ride is likely to be called Jungle Trail Blazer (The Chinese name is Jungle Dragon) Looking from the station down the lift hill. Air gates are in. Check out the inversion over the first drop. The turn around at the far end. View from the park boundary (The car park may be going here if the maps are right) Final look at the woodie. Oddly theres no shot of the boomerang in this update. But it is there I promise
  8. My vote still goes with the Wanda Wuxi wing coaster for the greenish track.
  9. I believe this is replacing the indoor V8 flume ride.
  10. So it looks like the news is out There will be 3 new coasters heading to Ferrari World. The European Coaster Club detailed the following in their latest magazine. Coaster 1 we know about is the SFX coaster with that crazy large track Coaster 2 will be an Intamin shuttle coasters inside the dome. The central core that used to hold the Huss drop tower will be home to a track spike from this coaster. Coaster 3 will also be from Intamin and will be outside the dome in that massive construction area and will be according to the ECC "Very Tall". Looks like it could be a great year for a visit to Abu Dhabi soon.
  11. My sources tell me it will be a B&M around 200ft tall which runs along the access road across the water from Kraken. Out and Back style with the final turn back over the other lake to the west. I was also told the park has a maximum height limit around 200ft. The sky tower ride was granted an exception way back when.
  12. That Mall is a different one. I think it was The New South China Mall. This one is an entirely new development west of Beijing called the Great Mall Of China. Possibly it will be just as successful
  13. From what I've been told the premier coaster is also still happening. There will be at least 3 coasters. The premier sky rocket, the vekoma pretzel seen above and a custom vekoma motorbike coaster which will thread through the premier. As stated the park has been delayed by a couple of years and the original ride built for this park ended up as sky scream at holiday Park. I belive a second one is being manufactured for this park now. The park seems to have overcome it's financing issues and is aiming to be open by the end of the year. But as this is China I will belive it all when I see it all.
  14. Here's the latest image of the pretzel coaster that came with the most recent issue of FD. Looks odd from a different angle.
  15. Turkish news is reporting that the ride is also called Red Fire which is kind of amusing.
  16. The Chinese wing coaster gets my vote. Could the greeny blue be for the other Chinese wing coaster at wanda wuxi?
  17. According to first drop the ride will be similar to white lightning in florida which can only be a good thing. That rides awesome.
  18. Sounds pretty small to me. 2.5 to 3k visitors a day as a max is pretty low. But could be good for the country. I love the little FEC's dotted around the UAE. The major airport in muscat isn't as busy as dubai but a fair number of connections run through there between Europe and south Asia so it wouldn't be that tough to visit either. If there's something worth the extra day spent there that is.
  19. Another update to the list. New Happy Valley announced for Xi'an. http://xa.winshang.com/news-194430.html and small updates to other parks on the list
  20. Hey Robb. Do you have any other info on the location of those pictures? Would love to try an hunt it down. Assume its Moscow somewhere but you never know.
  21. The park is in the city of Ningbo which is between 2 and 3 hours south of Shanghai (certainly easy to do on the train if you are in Shanghai) It can be found precisely here. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@29.7989835,121.5416997,1096m/data=!3m1!1e3
  22. oddly the videos all show a rendering of Wicked from Lagoon I was wondering if the red stuff on the pier in the photo in the first post is actually track? but don't think it is.
  23. Hey all Just dug up some concept art for the new Asia Park in Vietnam. We already know the 4 coasters going there but it shows off what the general theme and feel around the rides might be.
  24. Brassinthegrass how easy would it be to get to the park from the Long Island Rail Road? I've just realised the parks open while I am at a wedding in New York. And could possibly make it on Sunday the 12th of April. Assuming the new coaster is open by then
