  1. As expected the park opened yesterday. Theres a couple of poorly filmed POV's Here and the pictures below.
  2. The first stage of the park is due to soft open tomorrow from what I can gather on the official site So hopefully there will be more pictures of this beast sometime soon
  3. Ah ok i get a similar thing with Chrome which says RCTSP is not commonly downloaded are you sure. I guess because not many people have actually downloaded it yet. I've switched the sites download link for a zip anyway and added a copy here for prosperity. RCTSP.zip
  4. I had wondered how recent events in the region would have affected any of the new coasters. I hadn't realised this is the ride is the first new standard SLC to be built in 10 years. Skyscrapercity Via VHCoasters
  5. Sigh... Its fine. its just Norton being overactive. I haven't figured out why it does that. Perhaps if I change the download to a zip it will be fine. Any other reason given? Works fine on this PC with ESET Anti Virus. If you check the similar threads and New Element and Reddit its been used fine.
  6. We have seen some concept art of the layout before and the track was spotted at the B&M plant months ago but now I’ve finally found some shots of the Xishuangbanna B&M Flyer under construction. I must admit I like the off green supports with the bright yellow track and it will work well with the expected butterfly theme. Source: VHCoasters
  7. Hey guys. I made something recently I thought I'd share to the various RCT communities. I'm not sure how useful people will find it but it could be a big boon for people making recreations in RCT 1 or 2. RCTSP is a small application that allows the park specific installation of custom sounds within both RCT LL and RCT 2 parks. Both RCT’s allow the installation of custom music under two files called Custom1.wav and Custom2.wav, It’s been known for a long time that the .dat files found within both RCT’s data folder are .wav files with a different extension however its a fiddly business swapping them around for each and every park you want to view. RCTSP allows the automatic loading of a sound pack with each individual park with significantly more custom music/sounds than before. The program will also restore the defaults automatically after closing the program and allow the easy creation of your own sound packs for distribution. Including the Custom1 and Custom2.wav files RCTSP will allow up to 25 custom music/sound files for RCT LL and 8 for RCT2 (due to an annoying anti cheat put in by Chris Sawyer in RCT2) and its super easy to use. I'm not entirely sure anyone will ever use it but It is a nice exercise in coding for me It's a bit rough around the edges but I'll keep working on it. Full instruction and download can be found here. http://vhcoasters.com/rct-sp/ Thanks to Airtime for letting me use his Thorpe Park as a test bed too
  8. Not sure whats going on here since the image is clearly photoshopped (I mean the drop goes through that crane) but its popped up on some dutch news site. Make of it what you will. Source: http://www.vijfzintuigen.nl/nieuws/5085/Eerste-gedeelte-baanverloop-Dive-Coaster-zo-goed-als-zeker-bekend
  9. These Fantawild Boomerangs are new Vekoma models. Looks like they've bulk bought a fair few of them. The one at Lewa World is currently the only Knock-off one I've seen.
  10. With the announcement of the three Fantawild Cultural Heritage Parks it seems the Chinese park chains are starting to branch out from the traditional theme park model and create a more diverse portfolio. This trend continues with OCT, creators of the Happy Valley chain of parks and Liuzhou’s planned OCT Cultural And Scientific Experience. The park appears to be less of a thrill rides park and focuses more on the sciences but with a few rides thrown in for good measure. The stunning artwork below shows off some of the parks attractions and if you look carefully there appears to be a launched coaster as well. Included below is a Google Earth image which shows of the area the park is due to be built in (taken in 2013), The park is due to be open in 2015 so I would expect there to be construction by now but without people on the ground it’s difficult to tell. Anyway take a look at the concept art I’ll do some further digging. More pics at VHCoasters but they are mostly of the residential and hotel parts.
  11. Last Updated December 2016 Robb asked me to knock up a thread much like the China list for up and coming parks in Dubai. So here it is, Its been pretty confusing looking it all up but I think I got it right this time Larrygator did set up a list in April which can be seen here. Below is a list of current large scale projects in Dubai (and the rest of the UAE). If you think you've heard all this before you'd be right. But maybe they will have more luck the second time around. I've tried to be accurate but this was actually harder than China. At least China seem to build all theirs. If I've missed off a few threads so if anyone has links or suggestions for more then please let me know. Hopefully I can keep this up to date an accurate. Only news articles and concept art about it so far. No known rides yet. As of 2016 this park has dropped off the face of the earth and plans now suggest a new development called Jumeirah Central will be built in its place. Thread: No Thread Yet
  12. Sorry for the double post but as i said yesterday I thought the rides may already be up at the Wuhu park. I found this today Woodie can be seen at the bottom edge of the new concept art New Chinese built mine train. And what's that in the background? Ahh yes a real Vekoma Boomerang. No sign of the woodie going up yet but it can't be long Source: VHCoasters via House 365
  13. Google Earth also revealed the construction at the Wuhu Park. There is no sign of the Gravity Group wooden coaster footers like in Jinan and It seems the park is a lot smaller. I can’t see where a woodie of the same layout would fit in the Wuhu park so it seems we may have a different custom layout unlike the expected clones. The Wuhu park clearly features some of the same dark rides as the Jinan park as some of the large buildings are almost exactly the same with the same interior layouts.
  14. The latest updates to Google Earth have show construction at a number of new Chinese parks. Below is the construction site for Sun Tzu Cultural Park in Guangrao. The park has already put up a number of buildings and a new Chinese built splash down ride. There are clearings for the parks two new Roller Coasters which I have marked on the map. The S&S launched coaster is due to go top right while the mine train is to the left of the main museum building. There's no sign of any track on site yet but these images were taken at the end of June so its possible vertical construction has started on these rides by now. Unfortunately news out of Guangrao is hard to come by so they may be fully built before we see anything more.
  15. The park in Jinan is well under way. Here's a good overview from Google Earth taken at the end of March Looking closely this appears to be the footer layout for the new GG woodie. Looks pretty short but at least its custom. This ones meant to have an Inversion which I assume could be the Z bend on the bottom left of the layout?
  16. It's been really quiet on the China news front really but I've added the new Hello Kitty Park announced for Hangzhou No major coasters in the concept art but it looks nice. I've been mostly keeping it to the major chain parks. Theres too many little ones going up everywhere. But heres a construction shot of the one you just mentioned. I
  17. Construction continues. Looking really good. Love the jump over the mock up of Tower Bridge and the dive into the trench. thats going to provide some awesome views. Source: Fang via VHCoasters
  18. Carowinds usually opens the new ride for that year on opening day which will be at the end of March so it should be open! You sir have just made my day/week/year. Here have some airtime So used to US parks opening rides later than opening day I kind of just assumed.
  19. I hate this coaster, I actually think it looks amazing and I really enjoyed B&M's airtime on Shambala, No the main reason I hate this coaster is I'll be in Charlotte for a few days in Mid April... probably about a month before it opens
  20. They were but you can tell which one is newer as the new 3D cinema isn't there in the flattened ones. The Bluehost server is down at the moment but should be back soon.
  21. The pics on the RCDB were taken before they redid the Immelman. The immelman was redone to stop the train from stalling.
  22. Dug up some better pictures of that amazing Sidewinder at Century Amusement Park in Zhengzhou Source VHCoasters I'll be visiting the park in 2 months... not sure If I can or can't wait for this :S
  23. I'm pretty sure TGG have sold at least 6 new woodies to China now with Fantawild buying 5 of them (the 6th being this one at Hotgo). The new cultural parks in Jinan, Wuhu and Hangzhou will get the inversion toting woodies with the Timberliners (I imagine they will be clones) with Zhuzhou and Zhengzhou getting the PTC ones. Heres a copy of M&V's advert in a recent Asia Attractions magazine for those who are interested.
  24. To be fair to Wanda the lake is already there. They are building on the site of the old Treasure Gourd Farm park which i assume built the lake in the first place.
  25. This is just speculation but there's an unknown Vekoma launched coaster due to be built at hot go Park in China next year. I guess it could be something like this http://rcdb.com/11922.htm
