  1. I love the Screamin' Eagle queue and station since the style of it screams "Classic". The only thing I don't like about it is how narrow it is since almost everyone wants to ride the front
  2. So any idea of when the trip report for SFSTL will be up? I'm curious to see how much fun you had at my local park!
  3. I doubt it since Great America already has Goliath
  4. Seriously? That's a name I used in RCT2 when I was 6 years old I thought they were going to use a storm related name like the teasers suggested
  5. Congrats on 1 million subs on YouTube Robb!
  6. So excited for this waterslide! In my opinion I think this is a great addition to Hurricane Harbor. I'm surprised a Thunder Rapids clone didn't appear at any parks this year
  7. At Six Flags St. Louis, I almost never go on Tidal Wave or Tsunami Soaker unless it's REALLY hot outside because its uncomfortable being wet the rest of the day. Thunder River and Log Flume are an exception, because it's fun
  8. And the warning light was probably a sign that this park is getting that ride
  9. My guess is a ride themed to a storm. Maybe a hurricane since the other teaser had alert light and this one is related to water. I'm guessing it'll be a clone of what SFGAM is getting since they have storm related teasers too. Or it'll be a B&M Flyer over a pond that actually sounds fun
  10. What's your favorite dark ride?
  11. I would love to see a Twisted Looper at any park. IMO they look more fun than a standard Larson Loop.
  12. An idea worth pointing out, Maybe SDC can have a different setting in each car for the level of spinning (example: car 1 is tame, last car is wild, etc) So most people can ride it with any tolerance. What do you guys think of that? I love spinning wildly on a spinning coaster
  13. Holycrapholycrapholycrap!!! 2018 season pass, here I come!
  14. Speaking of announcements, when will Six Flags announce their 2018 rides?
  15. Looks so amazing! Kings Dominion just moved higher on my "must visit" list!
  16. November 1985 Six Flags buys local park! Six Flags over Texas is the first Six Flags park built After over a year since Lake Shernview was closed down and abandoned. Six Flags, which owns 7 parks including their recent addition, Great America, decided to buy Lake Shernview. So what does Six Flags plan to do with the new park? In addition to buying the park, Six Flags announced that they are adding a new stand up roller coaster and an enterprise ride. No names has been announced yet, including what the park will be called, but an interesting backstory on the new coaster: Six Flags purchased 2 stand up coasters. One is going to Six Flags Magic Mountain as ShockWave, while the other one was supposed to go to Six Flags over Georgia under the same name. Six Flags decided to send the roller coaster to their recent park, Lake Shernview instead of Six Flags over Georgia. So pull your lap bars down and put your hands in the air, Lake Shernview is reopening for 1986!
  17. I actually like the photos. I like how you can see the entire surroundings from that point of view when normal photos only focuses on what's directly in front of you.
  18. Lake Shernview Closed for the 1985 season! Due to extremely low attendance, Lake Shernview's CEO, Tyler decided to put his park up for sale. "Attendance has been dropping lower and lower each week. It's very hard to compete with Disney World" The decline in attendance was noted to start when ThunderBird closed. ThunderBird is currently in pieces in the employee parking lot. Lake Shernview is a park located just outside Orlando, Florida. "I really hope whoever buys my park can keep expanding it with new ideas"
  19. SFSTL (I know one was posted recently, but here's my guess) 2018: Thunder Rapids clone/Endeavor in fling's spot 2019: Craptor clone 2020: Bugs Bunny BoomTown 2021: 50 years/prototype flat ride (you'll never know) 2022: Boss becomes GCI
  20. By the way, I found a video that talks about Buzzsaw Falls
  21. Reading this trip report really makes me want to visit Kings Island so badly! Looking forward to the Holiday World trip report and the SFSTL one! Quick question, have you ridden a Justice League Battle for Metropolis yet?
  22. EDIT: ^ ya beat me to it. Here's the info anyway for those who doesn't want to click the link. Indeed there was. There used to be a premier water coaster called Buzzsaw Falls in the spot where powder keg is today. It only lasted from 1999 to 2003 and I believe it closed due to maintenance issues. A lot of Buzzsaw Falls was reused for Powder Keg from the crashed car on the roof all the way down to the lift hill on Powder Keg (and the big curve before that) Here's a model:
