Oh thanks for that info, Sounded a little fishy now looking back at it, why buy a new coaster when half the rides you have aren't working most of the year? It would be better to fix those then go for something even bigger imo.

If it was a little jab he was throwing at anyone it would probably be at other parts of the country, as that's why he said "This is the Midwest. We don't believe in making things unnecessarily complicated", like maybe say the North East, or the Western parts of the USA, which have more regulations and people themselves, make it harder to go about doing something that should be easy.

I hope Kings Island brings a Skyride back to the park. They posted a pic of the one they used to have on Facebook, a few days ago, and it was very popular. Maybe it's a sign of things to come? Maybe not tho, it would be great for picture opportunity's.

They are on TV talking about Ober Gatlinburg right now saying the building is intact.

This is terrible for people down there, I am praying and hoping for rain and everyone's safety and they stop the fire!

Kings Island just announced they are finalizing their plans for the 2017 Coasterstock event, last year with what happened with the Gliders, I don't know about going this year. Here's the link tho.

Loved the pictures! Can't believe its November already! We have 5 months to go till April, hope it goes by quick so we can get back to have some ki fun! I think they timed adding Mystic Timbers just right, people are talking more about the Son of Beast here lately from what I see on social media. It may not be as tall as the Son of Beast and no loop, but it has a few other nice things the SoB didn't have.

What???? They removed the tree's around the Eiffel Tower????? They provided a lot of shade and looked great there!

This is from their website. "Big Rivers Waterpark, Gator Bayou Adventure Park, Speedsportz Racing Park and The Sportsplex will begin this year; all have an anticipated opening date in 2017. Construction for the Grand Texas Theme Park will begin once Big Rivers Waterpark is in operation and the estimated time of construction is 18-24 months." So yup the Big Rivers Waterpark is next with the others this year, then next is the Grand Texas Theme Park! Wishing them a lot of luck on the way. I heard they are done with road. I bet it is really nice now. That sucks you have to leave Carowinds and have to come back to experience hh.

I hope you visit KI when/if they have the Christmas in July event next year. They played Christmas and instrumental music on International Street during it this year, and it felt like it did years ago when they played it, instead of this pop music they blast nowadays at the park. It made it feel like you was getting away from your troubles and the rest of the world and entering a magical place.

I doubt it will get much better, that's one of the only things I hear people complain much about with the park. I think they do know its a problem from them advertising as much as they do about where they need to hire. This year they said there was higher wages then last year. Btw Mystic Timbers is looking good!

I think they are keeping it in their back pocket just incase they need it. It would be nice to see some of the rides they used to have make a return. Anyone going to WinterFest next year?

Was just watching the webcam and seeing the guys working on Mystic Timbers high up in the air is pretty exciting!

The Skyride at ki, bet it was a great view of the park.

I've never been there, but just going by what some people say I would just pack a cooler with food, and go out to the car when you're hungry. It's what a 5, 10 minute walk to the parking lot? Its better that then waiting in line for 35 minutes or more.

KI is also expanding Soak City again next year, adding a smokehouse style restaurant as well as other new amenities and improvements, namely with more chairs, fans, shade. I am definitely going to be spending time in Soak City next year!
