As far as Scare Zone 4, (Scary Tales). If it is set up like last year, you can just can walk around it (beside it) and never have to go through it. But be aware that there are actors that walk around the park that are not part of any Scare Zone.

I might be making a trip to the park for Holiday in the Park. What areas/ rides are not open for that event or is everything open depending on the weather? The reason I ask is SFoG closes the Lick Skillet area where Sky Screamer, Bluehawk/Ninja and GASM are at, so I didn't know if any areas or rides would be closed here also.

Thanks, I am bringing 7 with me so that could get a little expensive. We usually go to SCAROWINDS and we wanted to try Fright Fest too.

I have never been to SFoG during Fright Fest so I have question about it. My membership gets me in but do I have to pay $20 for a wristband just to go through the mazes or is that included with admission?

Well, in the same article, it was stated that Cedar Fair was going to Japan next. So, maybe they found a Troika in Japan? Also, maybe the Huss Break Dance will be added to Carowinds in 2018. We'll just have to wait and see! I've enjoyed the announcements so far! I was thinking the same thing about the Breakdance. May be it will be part of a Planet Snoopy expansion in 2018. I haven't heard anything, just thinking out loud.

Anyone have any pics of the old bumper car area? What is going on in that area? I haven't been to the park for a while.

I was told today at the park that they will be working on improvements to the landscaping. They said that they know there is a big need for more shade.

Yeah, I was kinda bummed about Joker. They said that it might open tomorrow. Gonna try again then . El Toro was GREAT and loved Kingda Ka.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We just checked in and are READY for the next two days. Another question is at SFOG they open two coasters 30 minutes before park opening, do they do anything like that here?

Me and my family ( 7 of us) are going to be there Tues and Wed of next week. We are really looking forward to visiting this park. Our home park is Carowinds and we go to SFoG a good bit. What rides should we try and do first due to long lines/ slow loading times? Does the Joker run most days cause we really want to ride it as there are none like this near us. Any tips or info would be appreciated.

I have a gold pass and it gets me in to Carowinds and SCarowinds on the same day so I would think you will be ok with the platinum.

Seems to me it might mean 4 more than the original 5 flats. They are really stressing FOUR MORE. But that's just my thinking.

We (my family, 7 of us) are going on Aug the Tues. 9th and Wed. 10th. I hope the crowds and lines are not too bad those days. Carowinds and SFoG are our home parks, so it will be nice to see a different park. The kids are REALLY looking forward to this trip.

Six Flags Great Adventure in Aug.

Anybody figure out what "DOTD" means?

I'm not usually a show person. Most of the time it is to cool off, but this is a BIG step for Carowinds. It is a great show.

I am planning a trip to SFGAdv with the family on Tues July 12 and Wed July 13. I have never been to the park before so any tips would be nice. I am bringing my grand kids ages 9,7 and 6. They have been watching some videos on Youtube and are really excited as they love thrill rides. ( The 9 year old rides Fury 325 at Carowinds all the time.) Is the park very busy in the middle of the week? Any other info/tips would be appreciated. Thanks

I am planning on taking the family to White Water on Monday and SFoG Tuesday. Is it usually crowded on them days?

I love the back on any coaster, but when it comes to Fury I think the front can't be beat. Nothing but wind and speed.
