  1. I think Fury has a lot to do with it. Before Fury was there everybody loved Intimidator.
  2. I personally enjoy Scorcher the way it is. Very rerideable coaster in my opinion. I have only rode two stand-ups (Vortex at Carowinds and Scorcher). I have to say Scorcher is WAY more enjoyable than Vortex. So just a good repaint would be nice.
  3. What did you eat?!?!?!? I was wondering the same thing
  4. While Ninja/Blue Hawk looks GREAT, any chance they will repaint Scorcher and Goliath any time soon. They are looking bad, especially Scorcher. They are the coasters right in your face when you enter the park and the park looks pretty good for the most part, but when this is the first thing you see you wonder about upkeep.
  5. I love Nighthawk too, the problem I see with it is the long loading and unloading times and usually one running one train. Not much can be done about loading times I know, but at least run both trains most of the time.
  6. Cyclone was just repainted this year, but your right the others especially Cobra needs painting. I wish they would have changed up on Cyclones paint scheme.
  7. Some pics of Carolina Harbor from Thursday.
  8. Anyone going to Media Day tomorrow?
  9. They are putting water in the wave pool!!!!!!!
  10. I am looking forward to riding the flyers. I love the ones at Carowinds. I just hope they encourage snapping.
  11. How busy does anyone think the park will be Tuesday and Wed?
  12. I LOVE the front row on fury. Every other coaster I prefer the back, and the back of Fury is good, But nothing compared to the front.
  13. They were when I went Thursday night and all day Saturday. But I lucked up and got front row one time.
  14. We (my family) went opening weekend. Saturday was a nightmare. We waited 2 and half hours for GASM and over 2 hours for Superman. Sunday was a lot better. Still only one train ops, but the crowds were not as bad. I figure if the crowds showed up during spring break, that running more than one train would really help. It seems like they were not ready for the crowds opening weekend.
  15. How busy does everyone think the park will be during spring break, like Tues and Wed and will they have more than one train running on most of the coasters?
  16. How busy is the park and are they running more than one train on the coasters?
  17. Your right, I meant Scorcher not Cyclone
  18. I have only rode two stand-up coasters, Vortex at Carowinds and Georgia Cyclone at SFoG. Georgia Cyclone is a lot smoother and a lot more fun than Vortex. I like the layout better also. I don't know why Vortex is so rough but It would be more enjoyable if they could smooth the ride out.
  19. We (my family) went Sat. and Sun. Saturday was a nightmare. The crowds were there and most coasters was running one train operations. I waited 2 and a half hours for Great American Scream Machine and 2 Hours for Superman. I didn't even try to do DDD. There also seemed to be some problems with stuff like people paying for dinning passes and then it not showing up on their cards, so they would have to back to guest service and stand in line for about 45 min to an hour to get it straight. Sunday was not bad at all. Still one train operations but light crowds. everything seemed to be going a lot smooter. Here are some pics from Bugs Bunny Boomtown and some from the construction still going on for DC area. Boomtown seemed kinda like it is missing something. Very open with no shade and A LOT of space between rides with a lot of hot concrete everywhere. (May be room for future stuff, I don't know). The Bucket Blasters seemed to be a BIG hit. The water shoots along ways from the ride and the bucket in the middle shoots out water getting the people in line wet. I was sitting on a bench outside of the line and still getting hit with water a little from the cannons on the buckets. But it felt pretty good. The Entrance The new Playgroung The Exit Very open The new Playground Tweety's Twee House Daffy's Bucket Blasters Bug Bunny High Sea Adventure Sign for the new Playground The Wacky Wagons was not running The new DC area construction
  20. How much are tickets if I have a Membership? I see it says a discount but does not say how much.
  21. I was looking at joining Club TPR and it says that there are discounts for parks. Do they have discounts and perks for Carowinds and if so what are they? EDIT, I tweeted and asked Carowinds and they said not at this time.
  22. I know this is a long shot, but I would love 2017 to be the flats and a GOOD wooden coaster. But like I said that is a long shot.
  23. If you're hoping for those 5 new European flats, that's most likely out of the question. Carolina Harbor not being open yet but being featured on the map could very well confuse and anger some of the less intelligent guests. Speaking of those flats, where could they go? No, I was just pointing out it wasn't on the map and as far the "SPRING" goes, the water park never opens until Memorial Day Weekend but we have always had the same map all season. As far as what goes where I don't know but with them removing Minigolf I would say one in that area.
  24. New park map is online and Minigolf is missing, and it also says "SPRING". So I'm guessing there will be more maps to come out?
  25. It's listed under Park Dining Locations.
