Infinity coaster trains are not limited to only 8 persons. They can be anywhere between 2 and 8 cars long. The vertical lift can accommodate trains as long as 4 cars. (source: http://www.gerstlauer-rides.de/products/roller-coasters/infinity-coaster/) Just because we haven't seen it yet doesn't mean it can't be done.

This makes me happy since it's an old Geauga Lake ride. I'll be able to take a few more spins on it in April. I doubt it'll be around long. -

The other option is to take 90W to route 2 West and get off at Rye Beach road. No tolls and very minimal traffic. This is definitely the best way to go if you are coming in from Cleveland. Also - as some have mentioned, most of the decent gift shops are near the front of the park on the main Midway, Bill! Forgot to mention that the Ohio Turnpike (said toll road above) accepts credit and debit cards. But having cash on you is a good idea as well. I believe the toll from entrance closest to the airport to the recommended exit for CP is around $2-3. There is also one more decent gift shop in the back of the park between Chuck Wagon and the 3 point shooting game. Not as good as the one up front and have mostly discounted, discontinued merch but worth checking out. -

For those who care about the new all season drink plan it is now available for purchase on Point's website for $26.99 (other CF parks currently have it at $29.99) before processing fees and taxes. highlights from the FAQ page for those who don't read it: -Drink plans on platinum passes are valid at all CF parks -Valid thru end of season events such as Winterfest -if you purchased the bottles but have yet to redeem you can change to the cup plan when you redeem your voucher -if you have a bottle and mid-season you want to change your plan you can do so at guest services for a $2.99 exchange fee and they take your bottle and deactivate it. -1 refill every 15 minutes (same as the bottle) -

I purchased the line skipper on my only trip to the park. A friend and I were visiting thanks to his company picnic and we didn't pay for admission so we saw a nice value in paying for this. TBH it was busy enough that day we wouldn't have ridden everything if we didn't purchase it. This was during the 2015 season so please correct me if it has changed, but it was good for 1 ride on each coaster. The coasters had assigned times, you couldn't use it before the scheduled time, but you could use it any time after. It was basically 1 ride every 30-60 minutes. Each coaster did have assigned seats which I was okay with. It did annoy me though that they weren't filling those seats on cycles in which line skippers weren't present. Basically letting 2-4 seats go empty on each cycle. -

Curious as if the Frontier Trail trees and Panda Express trees may be because they were dead/dying or diseased and they just had to go... Hopefully they replant. -

Spoiled? Nah bruh. They're just a park that basically prints money. All while having people throw more money at them, piles and piles of money. Which justifies spending that money on shiny new coasters so people will throw even more money at them. Pretty much basic economics. -

I enjoy Famous Dave's too, but I generally only eat there once a season since I have one about 10 mins from my house. But you can't beat it's location, especially for sunset dining. Also, I was a Midway Market fanboy for a while. But about 5 seasons ago the quality started to tank reaching an all time low last season(2015) to the point I didn't even bother this season(2016). Having the dining plan helped avoid the place as it's not included unless you wanna pay an upcharge. It's just complete garbage now. When I sit in places like Harmony Hall I wonder why the f**k can't the flagship park have places like this? On a side note, I forgot the burrito bowls at Chuck Wagon are tolerable to good depending on the day and included on the dining plan. Just hope they thaw the salsas. Nothing like getting chunks of ice in your burrito bowl. -

Train in station, train in the shed, train out on the course would equal 3 trains. The shed will act as an additional block to allow 3 trains. And I agree the brakes before the shed will most likely act as a MCBR. -

My only guess is that corporate parks have to worry about profit margin, share holders, things like that over quality. Family owned parks not so much. Obviously they don't want to lose money on food services but they may not have Wall Street breathing down their necks for more profit. Cheap frozen burgers, hot dogs and fries sold at ridiculous prices equals more money. But it also varies throughout the chain. I've had some truly borderline excellent food at Carowinds, Canada's Wonderland, Knott's, Ki and even Dorney. All meal plan options too. While the food at Point, almost as a rule, sucks. Sad when the 3 things I eat the most there are Panda Express, Corndogs (aka hotdog on a stick) and walking tacos. Everything else is pretty horrible. -

I'm a self admittedly shy and introverted person. If i'm a single rider and I get paired up w a stranger I at least say hi. And I honestly have no problems asking strangers if I can ride with them. Amusement parks seem to be my comfort zone and I come out of my shell. However, put me in a bar or other social type situation and I revert back into my shy, introverted self. -

Any day in May or June that the park closes at 8pm you can expect to be slow, especially weekdays due to school being in. These are the best times. I usually never see a wait over 30 mins. -

I'm a first time visitor this upcoming summer but I've already booked The Red Roof Inn in Ferdinand off Priceline for a decent rate. Red Roofs are always hit or miss since they're franchises but I've never had a truly horrible experience at one. Tip, if your dates are set try using Priceline's express deals, there aren't very many options in the area so you can generally figure out which hotel you're booking(since they don't tell you the hotel till after you book using Express). I was able to save $18 a night using the express deal over just booking the room. One downside however is express deals are NON-refundable. -
I spent 5 seasons at SFWoA/GL starting in 2001 and ending as a rides supervisor in 2005. I operated literally every ride in the park over the course of 5 years. I would say without a doubt operating Raging Wolf Bobs was my favorite (hence the user name ). I got to operate the ride the last two seasons it was a fully manual operation. No dang computers handling everything and it took some skill and a hard working crew to operate two trains. Cause literally if you weren't paying attention you could have two trains slam into each other, get two trains stuck on the lift, etc.. It was amazing. The control panel was ridiculously simple, key switch to turn on the ride, lift start/stop, e-stop and 3 buttons to control the skid brakes. Two for two sections in the tunnel and 1 for the station. To operate it you held down the buttons to drop the brakes and release the train. When you didn't hold down the buttons the brakes were up to lift the train, using friction to stop the train. Very simple. But in this modern day of safety and lawyers it would never be allowed. The best operators could always time it just right to hold the tunnel brakes down, release them at the right moment and the train skidded to a perfect stop in the station lined up with the correct gates. Also the guests would love when we would just hold the brakes down and let the train fly through the station and go right to the lift and go through the course again. Miss those days. The ride sure got boring once they installed modern computerized controls. Unfortunately I was 1 season too late to learn Big Dipper with it's levers.

Love that parks are bringing back classic flats! First the wave of flying scooters, then CF's focus on classics and now this. Still wishing someone can manufacture the Kangaroo flat from Kennywood and get those in more parks! Making my first ever trip to Holiday World this summer after more then a decade of wanting to go. Really looking forward to this park! On a side note, kinda surprised they are using the name Firecracker for a flat. While it's a great name I personally would've used it for a coaster!
