Here is my 2016 recap of some of the memories I made this year. I had a great time visiting quite a few parks. Each clip used in this video comes from one of 15 videos created in 2016 on my YouTube account. I hope you enjoy! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]

On a side note, here is my 3rd annual Cedar Point [employee-based] video. It showcases personally recorded videos that I've taken throughout my 5th season working at The Point as a ride operator. Take a look and let me know what you think! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] -

Precisely. If CP did it right by allowing for a place to put your belongings for free before you get in line, I'd be all in for rides (especially Raptor) to go to a no loose article policy. That way, the line moves quicker and guests are happy that they didn't have to pay to place their loose articles somewhere. The only problem with that is when a ride has a line that's more than 10 minutes and it's a hot day, I'll want something to drink while I'm standing in line. I guess some people will never be satisfied. -

Being a ride host, it is nice to work a ride (like Magnum now) that doesn't have bins. Since there are no guests wasting time going to the bin, they just sit right down once the gates open. It's a glorious thing! Working a ride like Raptor is a hassle when it comes to the bins because people seem to take their sweet ol' time. People complain about how lines are so long. Honestly, a big reason why is because of the bins. My solution would be to get rid of all the bins in the park and do what Universal does - have free compartments to put your belongings. It would help it a few ways: 1. Lines would move faster because of no bins 2. Guests would be happy since the compartments are free 3. Happier operators because of the higher capacity If only Cedar Fair would understand this. -

From a park employee standpoint, this is a good idea because it's less that they have to deal with when guests approach a ride that has a no loose article policy. From an economical standpoint, it might not be the best option since it will indeed create more trash with the disposable cups. From a guest standpoint, it can go either way - it creates less of a hassle to have to carry around the souvenir cup all day but then again, it's called a souvenir cup for a reason (I used to collect these cups year after year to have as a souvenir). So really, going away with the cups can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. I guess we'll have to wait and see, as others parks are also considering this. -

Disaster Transformer was a classic. Almost as much of a classic as the Paddlewheel Excavations. -

Yes, it was the genetic clone of the sky wheel that went over the main midway. -

I also know that what goes up, must come down. Too far? Alrighty then. -

That's the Voltron. I usually worked at the Magnum Force but I also worked at the Velociraptor. -

I feel like the majority of people really disliked Mean Streak. Personally, I never found that coaster to be rough. I didn't think it had a very interesting layout but it was never rough in my opinion and quite fun still. I guess my opinions don't really matter at this point. -

That is some good advice. I feel like I am different than your usual "person who really enjoys riding roller coasters (and dark rides too)." I don't have anything like a top 10 list nor do I keep track of my coaster count. All I know is that I've ridden a lot of coasters and I have a lot of favorites. Personally, I don't like comparing things in general (this goes for much more than just coasters). I find many coasters to be very fun and I try to find the positives of each one, even if most people think a certain coaster is not fun. In my Carowinds vlog, for example, we rode Hurler. From what I've heard, many people think it's rough and don't like it. In my opinion, it wasn't like the "best experience I've ever had on any coaster" or anything but it certainly wasn't bad by any means. I did enjoy it. When I say that I don't like comparing coasters, what I mean is that I know of people that will nitpick minor details. For example, the minor differences of Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure and Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia. I don't feel the need to do that. Yes, they are both B&M hyper coasters but I think both coasters are fantastic in their own way. I don't find it necessary to critique them and have a battle to figure out which one is "better." That's also why I don't like making lists of my top favorites. It's just another way for people to argue with your list. So what I'm trying to say is that when I do my video blogs, I try not to go into too much detail. I will admit that after I edited together my Carowinds video blog, I did realize that I said something along the lines of "it was good, not bad at all" after several different rides and I did annoy me but unfortunately there was nothing I could do at that point. As usual though, I am always open to suggestions on how to make my videos more enjoyable so I do appreciate constructive criticism. I'm happy that there are viewers who enjoy my vlogs because I really enjoy making them. -

The only thing I don't do in regards to being a CP employee is film on rides, and that's mainly because I think filming on rides is silly (I wouldn't want to lose my camera because it was expensive and a safety hazard). If I truly don't like a particular ride, I would say so. I wasn't trying to "restrain" myself when I briefly talked about their kiddy coaster. Unlike hardcore coaster enthusiasts, I don't like given a detailed explanation of every single coaster/attraction I ride. In general I try to stay positive about every aspect in life so even though I did find the coaster rough, I just didn't feel like explaining precisely how rough it was, what exact spots, etc. -

This was my second visit to Busch Gardens. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time, if not more. It's an amazing park with great attractions and an excellent atmosphere. I really hope to visit again in the future! Be sure to check out my video blog - any comments are appreciated. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
