  1. Might as well go to Myrtle Beach for Family Kingdom and Chattanooga for Lake Winnie as you're basically going right by them. Don't forget about the 3 alpine coasters in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.
  2. Wow that was an impressive teenager fanboy rant there. Oh you're in your 40s? Awkward.... Speculation is fun, but foaming is ridiculous. Maybe it's all in wording. Maybe instead of "where will our 500' aqua track go" word it as "a great place for that Aqua trax would be location x". The whole acting like it's a done deal that said attraction is coming is when people start rolling eyes. Now my speculation, VF is going to expand their waterpark and continue to do so until capacity is at an acceptable level.
  3. It's been posted so many times that people have taken it as fact. Really, the biggest need is at Oceans.
  4. As would I, but I am also realistic and can see that the waterpark is where the capacity need is right now. There were suits out there today watching the crowd levels. It was insane.
  5. "Thank you for adding to the discussion and conversation" -no one ever
  6. Worlds of Fun had officially become Dorney Park. Everyone is at Oceans of Fun and the ride park is dead. They really need to add to the waterpark as it's way past capacity. I would be fine if the next two seasons they add some more slide complexes to help with capacity.
  7. So what you're saying is... it doesn't fit. Got it.
  8. TBQH the park has been doing nothing but large additions lately. 2016 - Monster 2014 - Storm Chaser 2012 - Adventure Bay Phase III 2011 - Rebuild of Main Street 2010 - Adventure Bay Phase II 2008 - Adventure Bay Phase I
  9. VALRAVN has had its ustpo file updated to say Cedar Point. In other news it appears most CFEC files have been updated to be park specific. Centurion is still ambiguous though
  10. Apparently. Dominator is at Dorney Park and features both a turbo drop and a 2nd generation space shot. Detonator is at Worlds of Fun is a 1st generation twin tower space shot.
  11. heh. . being from Texas, we make a point to avoid Bar-B-Que on our vacations. But yeah, it did SMELL great (in New France (aka: Canada) section I'm from Missouri, the BBQ Capital of America and while it's not up to our standards it is still pretty good and one of the better values in the park with the amount of food you get.
  12. That's all the park needs... another launch coaster. They have 3 already.
  13. Drop towers are "meh" to me but I'm sure the GP would eat it up Please put it in Europa though
  14. Not that I'm aware of. Still a lot of WOS by people who won't use the test seat before queuing. Though like I said the seat belts might have something to do with that as well
  15. I don't think Phantom is being a debby downer. I think Phantom is just being realistic and this thread needs more of that. Reading some of these posts you would swear that B&M track is on its way to the park and footers are poured already. People probably think all Minnesotans are nut jobs looking at our home park's thread. There are no signs of any addition yet for next year and if you don't see some sort of markings by the end of the month into early August, then don't plan on a large scale coaster coming next year. I think we are overdue for a coaster as well, but if management has identified the water park as the number one priority in the future I would bet that that is where the major investment dollars will go and not towards a new coaster. If that realistic point of view is being a debby downer, then so be it. All our coaster additions in the past have been mid-level investments in the $7-9 million dollar range (Steel Venom and Renegade). If a new water park would push our revenue high enough to get Cedar Fair to invest in a $12-15 million dollar coaster like a B&M, wouldn't you want the water park to get the attention first for a few years? Or would you want to keep settling for above average coasters instead of possibly getting a great one? I think that is exactly what a water park would do as I know everyone in my family, except me, prefers to go to water parks versus amusement parks. Exactly. I'm just being realistic. Like you stated moving the road and all that will not be cheap. I still stand by not getting worked up about a potential coaster until one is mentioned by the park.
  16. Now this is an INFINITY coaster not a Eurofighter. Completely different apparently. I too think that this will be a home run for the park. With no other park in the region (VF, WOF, SFGAM) adding a coaster next year they should do well. Their last addition (Storm Chaser) had the unfortunate opening of the same year as WOF's Windseeker...um, SteelHawk so that large addition was rather negated. Excited to try this out next season
  17. So in other words we have posters putting the cart before the horse and working themselves up into a frantic over something that may not come in the first place. Got it. You know they said "growth park" but failed to say how much growth. For all we know you guys already had it this year with the waterpark addition. They never guaranteed a Carowinds sized growth.
  18. Did I miss where Cedar Fair said that Valleyfair was going to get a coaster in the near future? The only thing I've seen is an expanding of the borders and a parking lot. I guess one could say that the park will eventually get a dark ride (as Ouimet said that he wanted to expand them to all of the parks in the chain) but I have yet to see anything that would make me think a coaster is coming any time soon - let alone a B&M. So, is this just wishful thinking or is there a legitimate reason why we are foaming over where an inverted should go?
  19. I'm just going off the firm's brochure, but whatever it's not worth arguing over.
  20. Most definitely. While the park does have a good collection most of them spin. I'm not as young as I used to be so I can't ride spin and spews like the youngsters can.
  21. Well I can confirm that Timber Wolf will continue its retrack/re profile the next two years. So I guess that part of your wish list is coming true. As far as your posting tendencies that is your prerogative. But nowhere did I claim my list as "fact" See that IMHO? That means "in my humble opinion". I can't help if deduced my post as fact, but that is solely on you.
  22. Or any kind of science at all. In most cases, posting to forums does not rely on science. I realize you're just being rude so please feel free to enlighten us on your opinion of what will happen
  23. The restraints were changed last season. They don't seem to be anymore accommodating than the old ones, plus there are seat belts now which seem to cause more WOS then the old restraints did.
