  1. I think that's awfully gloom and doom. I feel that the park needs to try harder.
  2. Well SDC advertises all over. MO - AR - LA - TX - OK - KS - IL - IN - TN - KY - IA - NE They are a DESTINATION park whereas SFSTL is not. I don't think I've seen a SFSTL commercial the last 3 years here in the COMO/JC area and we're less than 2 hours away. WOF on the other hand has been advertising heavily here (along with SDC). We occasionally will get HW commercials here but not as frequently.
  3. Sounds to me like he's calling Valleyfair a small park.
  4. Here is where the paint stops Paint stopping at bunny hills Paint stopping at bottom of the lift
  5. I won't be able to get to the park again for a couple of weeks -- will you do the honors and check out and take photos to post here of the ThunderHawk plot, the buildings in Bicentennial Square, over by the sign, and the supposed markers on the Prowler/Zulu midway.
  6. If we got a floorless, it'd probably be about the same size as Hydra or Batman: the Dark Knight.
  7. We actually need a good sit down looper more than anything. We only have two coasters that invert so I think a GT-X is out of the question
  8. Not much else to discuss after this statement. You're right. It's obvious that one chain (Cedar Fair) has figured out how to make it work and the other chain (Six Flags) has not.
  9. I'd be just fine with a Bluefire clone at either park
  10. A floorless would be fine. Obviously it can't be a wing rider because of SDC 2017
  11. It's about time they added a sign for Outlaw. Happy the park is having such success here lately. It's a great place, my crew always have a great time when we visit.
  12. Not sure what food line you were on but we got to JB's at about 6pm. The line was relatively short and we got our food in a timely manner. No problems. The lines for rides were definitely long but that's because the park was crowded. Nothing struck me as unusual. I know nothing unusual.. Food lines at about 2 were, 45 minutes at the least. The food lines are a big problem. They sold so many Dining Passes because they could. What they didn't do, was the math. They don't have enough support to supply the demand. It's beyond frustrating. And to think...it's about to be a whole lot busier. Good times!! I've seen JBs line stretch all the way out past the star on the walkway at Freeze and JL. People waited over an hour just to get to the register. It's a popular place due to location, good food and a bar (with Sports). They really need to reconfigure it to allow more registers. But then you have to have the support behind it. It's not working at all right now. It's crazy that they cannot get it to work, because I've yet to have a problem with the Cedar Fair dining plan -- and hasn't SF had their's longer?
  13. Possibly. I'm still saying dark ride with the used rides. That's my final answer until some more info comes along. Speaking of coasters though, what would you guys think of a dive coaster? I'm know it's been mentioned in this thread before as a joke, but I think it would be a great fit, especially for a smaller park like Worlds of Fun. They're not all that expensive, and they are much more thrilling than most coasters on the market. What if they build one where Orient Express was, and have it dive into the small valley next to the front entrance? It really all depends on if the SDC rumor of a 2020 dive coaster is legit and if SDC signed an exclusive contract for the area.
  14. You must have missed the plans for cga's future . . . Nope. I saw them. I just did not think it was very aggressive Okay, sorry, but you must be blind. Yes. That is probably a logical conclusion.

  16. Well in WOF's defense, the new PR just started a few months ago. The previous girl who held the position did next to nothing
  17. There are markings all over the place around Echo Hollow. This time they are red.
  18. These teasers are starting to get kinda old. According to the teasing it seems like they may add a new coaster in 2017. But they just got Banshee so I would rather see the coaster in 2018. They wouldn't start teasing for some little ride this early if it wasnt a coaster. I just hope this isnt like Busch Gardens and they get us hyped and it turns out to be a small wooden coaster.............................. A GCI that breaks records sounds good to me. That logic cracks me up. WOF is teasing 2017 too but the consensus on TPR is that there's NO WAY they're adding a coaster - but with KI --- it HAS TO BE a coaster.
  19. Notice how there is no mention of aggressive expansion for either VF and CGA.
  20. No, but in all seriousness, we probably won't for a while. What would you guys think of a new flat ride package for WOF next year? Maybe the used flat rides with Gerstlauer Sky Roller or a giant Frisbee? I'd be fine with that, as the Sky Roller looks like tons of fun and a giant frisbee has been something WOF fans have wanted to years. Throw in a matracer slide at OOF and you have a deal I don't really care about expanding OOF. It's really a great park as it is and doesn't really need expansion. It needs more capacity Yes more capacity but other than that I personally think it needs more food choices It has 7 places to get full meals. How many does it really need?

  23. Why? I've never been impressed by Detonator. Fearfall, occasionally impressed. Indiana Beach's model, certainly impressed. But I've always been bored with Detonator. Multiple days, multiple seasons, multiple visits. I've wanted to like it. Sorry. The model atop the Strat's better too. Not earth-shakingly so. But better. Maybe you should head out to Galaxyland in Edmonton and discover how a real Space Shot feels...? Cuz Detonator's not it. Detonator is the most forceful of the Space Shots in the chain. The one at WOF? Psh, my group skipped that thing in a heartbeat. PowTow FTW. We've got your Space Shot AND Turbo Drop covered. Unless I missed some golden ride experience, please let me know. Indeed you did. It is the ONLY Space Shot in the chain that has ejector air time at the top. The others just sort of make you float some at the top.
