Yes, the queue itself was still haunted. But there were no 'Demons' walking around.. -

I didn't really notice the rattle.. There are smoother rides, absolutely! But I thought Kärnan was actually pretty smooth for a Gerstlauer. I am wondering if that would still be the same in a couple of years... All the rides in the park had a waiting time of about 10 minutes. Except for Kärnan, the whole day around 50-60 minutes. But it's worth the wait! -

Hello everyone! As promised, here are the photos and my report from Heide Park Resort. Heide Park is located in Soltau, and it is the second biggest amusement park in Germany. Heide Park has 9 coasters; 2 B&M's, 2 Intamin's, 2 Mack's, 2 Vekoma's and a Zierer. Great line-up for a European Park, if you ask me. And of course, it is home to one of the best wooden coasters in the world, Colossos!! Their newest addition was built in 2014, a B&M Wing Coaster, called Flug der Dämonen. It is a good ride, but definitely not the best coaster in the park. The weather that day wasn't that great. It was drizzling all day. And at noon, the drizzling turned into pouring rain. It was so bad that all the coasters were closed for about 2 hours. At 3pm, the rain finally stopped and every ride reopened. Because of the rain, the park was almost completely empty. The longest queue time that day was 10 minutes. Enough talking, let's check it out! Welcome to the Heide Park Resort! My first thoughts of this park: what a beautiful place! Bad weather, lovely park! Bucht der Piraten, the first themed area. Bounty, the Pirate Ship of the park. As I said, empty! The Pirate themed area is definitely the best themed area of the park. There will be no show today.. First coaster of the day, Krake!! Krake opened in 2011. With its height of 'only' 41m (135ft), it may not be the tallest Dive Coaster out there. But it is my second favourite coaster in this park. Krake through the trees. The first drop is awesome! Especially in the back. Hurray, they survived! Facing down.. Towards the Krake.. Love the theming. Short, but sweet! Sklooosh!! I spot 2 Vekoma's, a Mack and a B&M. All in one photo! Big Loop is the oldest coaster at the park. It opened in 1983, but it is still a lot of 'fun'. If you want to make a Vekoma look good, Heide Park is the place to be! Big Loop was okay. It is rideable.. The next coaster of the park; Limit! It's an SLC. No more words are needed.. I spot the Vekoma brace position! Bobbahn. Transilvania. Home to the newest coaster of the park. What a beauty! Flug der Dämonen, Flight of the Demons in English. No, Colossos, it's not your turn yet. Best part of the ride; first drop and this airtime hill! The trains are gorgeous. The best seat? Back right, in my opinion. B-E-A-utiful. Scream was closed.. Huss Land!! Grottenblitz, a Mack Powered coaster. It has a great little indoor section! Land der Vergessenen, home to Desert Race and.. Colossos!! Desert Race accelerates from 0-100 kph (0-60 mph) in only 2.4 seconds. Great hairtime on this ride! Love the ride's control panel! Yes, it is in the helicopter. It roughly has the same layout as Rita in AT. Desert Race is great! But when you have a world class Intamin woodie next door, it's hard to beat that! The rain felt like hail. But I don't mind, as long as I can ride coasters! Here it is! Colossos!! Hands up for the photo!! Colossos climbing its massive 60 m (200 ft) tall lift hill. What a fantastic coaster! By far the best wooden coaster I have ridden. The last turn towards the station. See the guy in the green? That could be me. But I was taking the photo. Seriously, Colossos made me crazy! This ride is awesome! Full of airtime, high speeds, steep drops, lots of G's. Thank you Intamin!! I hope you guys enjoyed it! -
