Energylandia Park Discussion Thread

Well, Vekoma´s layout seems more simple at first glance and might feel boring to someone, but it´s not the case I think and absolutely love the second half (which is usually the worse part of coasters). It´s subjective, but for me, Vekoma is the winner. To me, it looks like a lot of people won´t ever choose Vekoma, just because it´s ... Vekoma. I think here, we are supposed to judge based on layout mainly. I know some people will like Intamin more, that´s normal, on the other hand I see lot of opinions "Intamin, because it´s Intamin".... -

All this stuff is very impressive. They can build it, but the other question is if they keep it running as well. This is rly huge investment. I hope it will turn out good, looks like this is going to be an amazing park. And it looks like they are working on theming a lot now as well. -

Last month they didn't have a flying coaster yet. B&M seems to be stepping up their game when it comes to construction speed! xD Or it's invisible. Yeah... The closest thing they have to a flying anything is a carousel in their "how to train your dragon" area. You ride that lying down, so it's kinda like flying I guess, was pretty fun! But it's no coaster. You're probably thinking about their wing rider, which is an OK ride to me. It's a bit sluggish, but has a cool drop and looks awesome. BTW, A (B&M) flying coaster would be a Mainland Europe's first! Sorry, I thought you are saying wing coaster. Yea, one of the things I would like to see anywhere in Europe is proper flying coaster (don´t like Alton Tower´s one very much) or 4D coaster (like X2 or similar) -

Why would they do another flying coaster if they already have one (and I think it´s pretty good one actually) -

I believe HP will celebrate 40 years in 2018? I wouldn´t mind if they keep the big investments for that year. -

No doubts, that was mistake on his part. Just saying it wasn´t obvious from cameras. Then it´s hard to say, whatever he didn´t realize there is actually one more train (maybe he was still thinking there is 4, not 5).. He could thought this just for a split second, forgetting the extra train, and press the button. I can imagine such a stupid mistake can happen. -

I thought the same. But... When I watched it myself, I didn´t see the valley-ed train as well. The quality is quite bad and it blends with the track and the rest of the environment quite well, especially when it´s standstill. I only saw the train for the second glimplse and only because: 1) I knew there must be the damned train somewhere 2) I approximately knew where to look for it. If I were the operator, I wouldn´t probably see that... -

If you haven't been before and aren't going for a while this is completely the wrong idea. Try and wait stuff out an I recommend visiting Swarm later on as it gets the morning crowd. Ride Colossus and Saw first they are the lowest capacity coasters. If your not visiting again for while getting fast tracks are 100% worth it. We will be there October 15th, saturday. Therefore I expect fastpass to be handy. I gonna buy it for sure. Just don´t need to throw away money for just simple sleepover, that´s something i would like to save money on. -

Does anyone have some tips for affordable accomodation near Thorpe? We plan to make a trip to Thorpe, stay over night at some hotel and then go somewhere to London next day (in second half of october). Is there something you would recommend besides what Thorpe offers on their site? -

Completely agree. Considering the forces you encounter with on the coaster, it could snap and fly off easily.... -
Best park for coasters in EUROPE
mr.sugar replied to Henry M's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am also limited by my companion. Its extreemly hard for me to even convince someone to go there, let alone making such a long trip just because of the coasters. Rly exhausted already. It is nice to see that in the end, I convince someone and they always fall in love with theme parks -

I haven´t realized they are this close to each other. Have plans for semptember/october to go to Phantasialand as well, but combining it with Holiday Park sounds like neat change of my plans. Will make the trip more worthy imho. -

I visited Heide Park in May last year and enjoyed Collossos so much. I came back this year on July 5th and I was surprised how rough it got since last year. I´m not suprised they closed it, but it´s true it lasted 15 years. That´s great achievement. -

Does anyone have idea about Stealth? According to website, it´s unavailable and it´s been there for a while already. What´s going on with it? Also, how about Rush, is it better now or still not in a good shape? -

Im going to Thorpe Park this august. It doesn´t sound like their attractions are reliable. To me, it sounds like some rides are closed quite often ? I just don´t want to leave dissapointed... -

Actually, Merlin do allow things like this on some days, depending on if the ride op and staff are in a good mood, and how busy the park is. They actually on empty days let you stay on the ride or re enter a short way. This happened to us last year, when we got 2 extra rounds on Mountain-rafting. Staff at Heide Park was overally pretty cool imo. -

Imho, Heide park is the best in Germany. As long as you are thrill seeker, otherwise I would say Europa park is the best. But the coaster line up is just great at Heide park, just wish some of the coasters were a bit longer. I guess you won´t regret if you go for Heide park -

I was actually thinking that they might plan to move it to Thorpe park, next to the SAW The ride and bring the samorai there instead? Maybe, they plan to make SAW themed area in Thorpe park, which would make sense imho? -
