  1. This is the exact reason why I don't support animal rights groups. While I do think adequate treatment of animals in captivity is important, I feel that groups like PETA spend more time shaming major companies than focusing on much more serious matters. I'm fairly certain various countries in Asia have illegal whaling activity, yet activists gloss over that and complain about how horrible it is that Seaworld owns orcas. In addition, many animal rights groups, espescially PETA ,have very odd ways of garnering support for their cause. For example, PETA went as far as to make flash games about Nintendo characters(Mario and the cast of Pokemon) abusing animals.
  2. What's wrong with it? you are unable to go past the first page.
  3. Yup thats the new generation. Bitch and moan until there is literally nothing fun left. What's worse is that some people are basically saying that Seaworld should euthanize their orcas. So apparently it's cruel to keep orcas in enclousers, but it's totally fine for them to be put down long before they need to be.
  4. It's sad to see the show go, but perhaps this will help them regain trust with the public. My question is if these changes carry on to Orlando and San Antonio.
  5. I agree. that lady was terrible to Nick. She kept asking him why other attractions were closed as if it weren't obvious why.
  6. BGT: the only park that has both a B&M Sitdown and a Dive Coaster
  7. I'm really hoping for an Intamin Hyper of some kind, especially because BGT has got two very superb Intamin attractions. but let's be honest, no one will care who makes it as long as it's a good ride
  8. Nice report! Some of the food does look really appetizing. Shame that Gwazi is closed, I hope that RMC can redo it at some point. The new coaster seems pretty exciting, I can't wait to check it out.
  9. Why does everyone think that the Nintendo area will be in Marvel Superhero Island? it seems more likely to me that Toon Lagoon will be Nintendo-ized, seeing as how its animated theme would fit with the video games, plus most of the theming in Toon Lagoon is lost on anyone younger than 21
  10. I wonder where this will go in IOA. i could see it going into either The Lost Continent or Jurrasic Park
  11. it looks really good so far. i can't wait to see what you do with wing coasters
  12. i could totally see this at a theme park irl, perhaps PortAdventura or a Universal park
  13. Cedar Point King's Island Europa Park BGW SFMM SFGAm
  14. Here's my take on this news: First of all, i think it's great that seaworld is getting a new ride that will be (for a little while) the biggest in Orlando. it's a great strategy to ease the GP away from the Blackfish controversy and bring up their revenues I highly doubt that the hyper will be a Mack, since Mack hasn't built anything over 200 Ft. and may make some poor mistakes with the ride. A Chance-Morgan hyper would be interesting to see, since the nearest similar ride would be in TX (i think). but really, it probably boils down to either B&M or Intamin. A B&M hyper would be cool, and because the company has had a long history with Seaworld, it's probably Seaworld's first choice. However, a ride like Skyrush @ Hersheypark would be sweet, as it wouldn't have any nearby clones and could probably have some cool themeing. Speaking of which, if the ride was themed to sharks, they could have guests exit into a redesigned shark habitat.
  15. yeah, splash mountain TOTALLY beats the crap out of cheetah hunt seriously, this list is the equivalent to sharknado
  16. honestly, now that actual people are on the ride and the theming is in place, i'm actually more open to the ride. i mean, it could have been a whole lot worse.
  17. in my opinion, i think that people who claim that Seaworld doesn't treat their animals fairly have never actually seen Seaworld's animal habitats. they are very well designed for the specific animals, and they seem to be well-fed and have no signs of abuse. i guess people just don't like animals being in captivity, despite the fact that it keeps them from being killed by other, not so nice people.
  18. this is probably going to be the best themed skyloop (at least that's what i think it is called) made.
  19. well, i will give it credit for being unique. but honestly, it doesn't seem like my type of ride.
  20. it's kind of sad to see gwazi go, but that ride was probably one of the roughest rides I've been on.
