  1. ^At this point we might as well be MiA.
  2. How did their marketing team think this would go? Honestly it could've been done over a Facebook announcement and it still would've been disappointing.
  3. Yo where's madmax? He might actually live up to his name
  4. Isn't the park doing an official stream? I thought I heard that somewhere, if not, ITL it is.
  5. He didn't even take the time to go back and edit it.
  6. Thanks for the quick responses guys! I can't wait!
  7. Hello all, my dates at CP are finally within reach! I'll be arriving at Breakers on Sunday evening and visiting the park for all of Monday and half of Tuesday. We have early entry, so I assume we should hit Maverick or MF early? I've been on Griffon before so Valravn isn't a *huge* priority for me to ride early on. Should we go Maverick, MF, end up at TTD for the rope drop? Also, sorry to be that guy, but what can we expect wait times to be like? Any tips on order of riding the coasters? For reference, I'm not trying to get a bunch of credits, I'm trying to maximize rerides on the good coasters. Any tips on flats we should make sure to ride or food we should eat? Thanks in advance, I know you guys answer these kind of questions regularly, and it has to be annoying for you guys now!
  8. Guessing is fun until someone like madax starts going after everyone who points out his obvious BS and logical fallacies.
  9. ^How about the fact that literally not a single crumb of a credible rumor has pointed towards a hyper. The only people saying that a hyper is a possibility are saying "because its the gap in KD's lineup." Do I think a hyper would be cool? Sure! Is there any evidence (at all) that points in that direction? Absolutely not. On the other hand, we have a wooden coaster closed for an entire season that's being teased for 2017, and somehow that equates to "OMG guyz hyper4 2017!!11" It genuinely makes no sense.
  10. Hey guys, I've been working pretty hard on this video since my recent trip to SeaWorld and Universal in July. It features both parks as I had neither the time in the parks to shoot sufficient quantities of footage nor sufficient time to edit 2 separate videos. I hope you enjoy my video, I've been attempting to push high quality content, so if you like the video (or not), leaving some feedback would be super helpful! SeaWorld & Universal: Cinematic Slow Motion! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] (If you see this in the SWO thread please don't mark it as spam, I may post it there because it's relevant to both parks)
  11. ^You should email Matt Ouimet and let him know he needs to rethink his horrific decisions.
  12. Saw some posts on Instagram with white markers on the asphalt around Hurler, whether or not they're for anything important, time will tell.
  13. ^Interesting! I only rode in the front row, so by the time the trim engaged we were already floating. From what I've gathered, it appears that people prefer the front row, and I suppose that could be a possible reason. Oh well, everyone's got an opinion and different experiences on different rides, and you're certainly a more seasoned enthusiast than I. Personally, I thought it was a really fun, well rounded coaster with stronger airtime than I've experienced on other B&M hypers.
  14. I rode Mako in the front row about a week ago, and it was an insanely fun ride. The first drop didn't linger over the crest like you see on the hypers with the staggered trains, so the result was some great airtime for the duration of the drop. The first overbank was interesting; you sort of float and hang in your seat before diving back towards the water. The following airtime hill is simply awesome. There was some really forceful, sustained airtime here and the hill seemed steeper or more compressed than other hypers, so it felt unique in that regard. The turnaround was taken with swiftness, and Mako didn't waste time getting turned around for the return trip. The trimmed hill, while noticeably slowed, still provided ample airtime, despite it not being as forceful as the previous camelback. In all honesty, the airtime over that hill is still great airtime, it just isn't what it could have been, but people overstate the effect of the trims. The next hills have pretty good airtime as well, and I really liked the drop off the MCBR. The final airtime hill is a bit underwhelming relative to its larger brothers, but still, decent floater is present here. The finale is interesting; because you're not hauling through the turns, you get pretty good laterals through the banked turns. I really felt like it was a unique way to end a B&M hyper, and it's good to see them playing with lateral forces every now and then. The swooping dive over the water was just really fun in general and a great way to end a stellar ride. Overall, this coaster was a hit for me! I liked it better than (don't hurt me) Apollo's Chariot and Intimidator, so it now resides in my top 5 coasters, granted I've only been on 55. I think if you go in with a standard B&M hyper in mind, you'll love Mako. However, if you're expecting an Intamin style airtime machine, you should probably temper your predisposition. Here's my (fully legal) POV of Mako! [youtu_be]https://youtu.be/QAWEE21vfvA[/youtu_be]
  15. It's only been two B&Ms in a row. They still have more Arrow and Intamin coasters than B&M. Shhhhhhh! We aren't allowed to defect from the requisite B&M hate train!
  16. If Tempesto is any indication of the quality of the theming this ride will receive, we're in trouble... That being said, I doubt Tempesto's theming is any indication
  17. Hey look the KD thread is alive again! *clicks* *is filled with regret*
  18. ^That's so cool, thanks for sharing!
  19. I think KD has already announced Hurler is being done in house. Source?
  20. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] After a month and a half of hard work, here's Gunslinger - a 120 foot RMC wooden coaster featuring a variety of inversions, hills, and twists which provide ample airtime and positive G forces.
