  1. Hey everybody, so sorry to be the uniformed guy here but I have a question or two! I haven't been keeping up with every new update on Hulk's progress, but I'm assuming that the only work left to be done is final touches, queue theming, and an overall sprucing up of the area. Can anyone bring me up to speed on the possibility of soft openings and when they could happen? I know officially Hulk opens in "Late Summer," but given that the ride has been testing for quite some time, is an earlier opening possible?
  2. Trailer for my upcoming RMC wooden coaster [youtu_be]http://youtu.be/nsIGRaaamTE[/youtu_be]
  3. Griffon had the same amount of downtime that Valravn is experiencing now when it opened in 2007.
  4. Hush hush, it's an original, unique joke that transcends forums and even time itself. It's a magnificent work of comedic genius. Oh wait...
  5. Enthusiasts when they read this: In all seriousness, great report!
  6. Actually, it was advertised as opening in March. Source: Dollywood Official YouTube channel at the end of the Lightning Rod POV/teaser.
  7. Error 404: Logic not found. Mako is on time, it was always advertised a s a summer opening. Monster is on time, it was always advertised as a summer opening. Cobra's Curse, while delayed slightly, is still far more on track than a 2-3 month delay. It's especially forgivable given that it's not an Earth shattering coaster like LR supposedly is.
  8. I really want to know the answer to this as well. This is just an assumption, so please don't think this is 100% correct, but here's what I think: The pneumatic cylinders that move the brakes up and down are most likely connected to the air compressor (It could be hydraulics, but the hiss of air prior to the launch suggests otherwise) with "normally open" control valves. This means that in the case of power failure, the control valves would go to their de-energized position and allow air into the cap end of the cylinders. The cylinders would extend a result and the brakes would be brought to the up position.
  9. ^SFDK released that Joker has media day on May 25th and opens to the general public on May 27th.
  10. Late summer opening has me quite bummed. I won't be able to ride it anymore! Oh well, it looks fantastic.
  11. Please tell me that's 100% true, I want to believe.
  12. ^^ If you want to be extra edgy about it you can just abbreviate it as "Rat Stat". That way you can ask about the ever important B&M rattle and look like a badass edgelord at the same time.

  14. B&M rattle may be the stupidest thing to ever come from the enthusiast community.
  15. Well, I'd just like to throw this really old post back at you guys because, really, seeing that there's some heat here about Delirium being too short in length, just don't say that I didn't warn you. mmkay? Do you want a cookie or something?
  16. I'd rather have the coaster lose steam towards the end of the ride and use up all of it's energy than have it slam into the brakes full speed. If it ended before the helix/overbank, people would complain that it hits the brakes with way too much speed and they under utilized the coaster's potential. Now that they actually use up every last bit of energy, enthusiasts complain. What is life.
