Dollywood Discussion Thread

I just watched it. Really like his work. Thought it was worth the watch -
That's not the norm, they almost always run 2 trains. We just left after riding two more times and it was still running only two. There were four or five guys out working on it. Guys... this flash pass has been so worth it! Also, we are still here. If you see us. Say hi! I'm on the left. My name is Cyrus.

I may be alone here, but I keep thinking... What would a terrain hugging coaster like Maverick be like there? I didn't think I cared much for dive coasters after riding Shiekra, but once I rode Valravn, that all changed. So I would love to see them get a Dive machine as much as the next guy. I'm just thinking out loud here. A launched coaster like maverick could be really fun there and offer a longer ride time. I do think the throughput of both would be good enough to handle a park like SFMM. they could do a dual load station on a launched coaster or do a double load station on the dive. There are a few different options that could make great additions. I guess though, with SFMM, they let things go to sh** so on second thought... maybe a B&M would be a better option lol. Less attention to maintenance lol

Because Toro is amazing and the tea cups blow? I love Toro. But when done right, the teacups are hands down the most intense ride in the park. I always leave them for last because the people Im with arent able to ride anything else after were done on the teacups. I get the appeal. I also see the appeal of a $6,000 first class plane ticket. But Id rather take the money and spend it elsewhere. Mind you, Im not advocating for more people to ride the teacups. Leave the line short for me. I also still think you are missing the point that if someone has been waiting 10 years to visit the park, and will not get a chance to go back for years.... it only makes sense to invest in a fast pass. You get to go to the park often. Why would you invest in in FP? I think you are only looking at this from one perspective. Yours. There's a lot of other situations that warrant a FP. Let me ask you this. So I've never been to Great Adventure before. I won't get to go back for.. who knows how long. You're telling me, that the one time I get to go, September 17, I should not buy a FP? Keep in mind I only can stay from open until 5 or 6 pm. And this will be on a weekend during Fright Fest. My experience will be better without a Flash Pass? I won't have to rush around to experience all of the rides without a Flash Pass? I will be able to get in all of the major attractions, including re-rides, without a flash pass? If I don't have a FP, what is the proper game plan to do All the big coasters in the park, as a first time visitor, and leave by 6 pm, without a flash pass? I'd love to hear your genuine answers to all of these questions. Ready? GO! Buddy, its your money. You do as you wish. Some people spend thousands buying dolls. Whatever makes you happy. Just know that if Im about to board, and you use your pass to cut in line into the car I was about to get on, well, enjoy the new refreshing taste in your unlimited beverage that you left in the cup holder. Ok no, but I will give you a dirty look and you will feel bad. lol. In all fairness... I do feel badly sometimes. But i try to remind myself... This was how I chose to spend ME money to enjoy MY trip. Don't worry. You won't catch me on the tea cups though lol. All you!

And after two hours of waiting in the hot sun you can use it to wipe your tears. This was the first time I genuinely every laughed out loud from a post... on any forum lol. See... I did the pass because I've been wanting to go to this park, realistically, about 10 years. That's a decently long time. I also know I won't get a chance to go back for years and years. I think this is the part that people miss. It's worth it to spend the extra money and make the trip everything it's supposed to be. To be able to experience everything and not feel stressed out or rushed. I like to take breaks and have a few drinks. Get a buzz, then head back out for more rides lol. I also kind of feel like the people that are too stubborn or hard headed to invest into their trips and buy a fast pass... are probably not the kind of people I want to be hanging out with anyways lol. Have a little fun. Spend a little money. We work for a reason lol. With that said. I also wouldn't spend money on fast passes if I was going to a park near me. I go to Cedar point at least once a month. I absolutely don't buy fast passes there much because I go so often and I know when to visit. That is a waste of money. The only time I bought fast passes for CP were when I had family in visiting from California and we went. They are into roller coasters and I wanted their experience to be genuine and not consumed with waiting in lines. By the second coaster, my dad even said to me, " you were right about these fast passes. They are so worth it. We walked right on to that!" lol.

Rocky Mountain Construction 2017?
Cj1990 replied to kickflipbacktail's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh, hey look at that... someone finally mentioned it! I could only imagine what they would do with Gwazi. As rough as it got, I always thought Gwazi was a fun ride. If RMC got ahold of it.... wow. lol. -
Alright guys, I bought our tickets for Saturday. Booked the hotel to stay at Friday night. Bought us Platinum Flash Passes. Checked weather, looks good. I am sincerely hoping that with everything, we have a very smooth visit. Now just counting down the days to Saturday! lol I am curious, which rides allow double rides with Platinum Flash Pass?
-
It sucks so you're not missing anything. And I would normally agree with Genx24 but if you only have 6 hours then yeah, buy the Flash Pass right away. Really appreciate all the assistance. Booking everything today. We are excited. I can't imagine fright fest at SFGAdv being anything different than SFMM.... and I agree... it sucks. Never wasted my time there. Always did USH or local haunt attractions instead lol

We are going to just do the platinum. I've waited years to go. And probably won't get a chance to come back for years from now. Might as well maximize our time. Plus we can't stay late either. We have to drive back home 6 hours after. I doubt we will even see any of the FF stuff. Lol. Oh well. I'm going for the coasters anyways.

I am looking into it already. And I am ok with the pricing. We would probably just do the Platinum. I have a question though that I can't seem to find the answer to. Can Flass Pass be used an unlimited number of times on all of the rides? I know you can do consecutive rides on select rides... but lets say, for example, if we rode kingda ka and rode consecutively on that, then a couple hours later we decided to go back and do it again, is that part of the program? I don't know if I would find it to be worth it if the capped the number of times you are allowed to use it per ride.

So, I am thinking about trying to go on the 17th of this month, which is a Saturday. I was curious what crowds might look like? looks like the hours are 11am - midnight. will probably stay the night there. We've never been before and it would be for our anniversary, definitely want to make it special if it ends up working out. Thanks for the help guys!
