  1. Banned. I don't know what is entertaining me more. The amazing marketing strategy behind the ride or the stupid people on our forums. I guess both are fairly equal. Will we ever see a "like" button on these forums? Lol. Posts like this would be well deserving.
  2. Wait. I thought the park did ask for no photos to be posted in general?
  3. He isn't being negative. He's literally been stating the facts lol. That's just how bad it is. Why are people in such denial to see it? The real people to blame are the ones that refuse to admit it to themselves lol
  4. I still am not seeing having an off season as being an excuse at all. For example, ther parks order back up parts and have them on hand just in case a chain motor breaks. SFMM doesn't get any passes because as they are year round, they should be proactive about ride maintenance, not reactive. In my eyes, they are being cheap, bottom line. And that's inexcusable when they are such a destination for people. Both locals and tourists alike.
  5. Batman has only two trains and is always down to one train operation in February since the 1990's. Goliath was not down for half a year and in general the SFMM bashing here is getting tired I haven't really seen any bashing. People are stating facts. The sad part is that the facts are all bad news. Things that other parks with more rides and attractions are capable of staying on top of. That's not bashing. It's the reality.
  6. None of this surprises me. It's SFMM lol. The maintenance could be so much better across the board at this park. Apocalypse was awesome when it first opened. Had it been open on my trip there recently, I would have checked it out, unfortunately, like with all of the rides in maintenance there, it was closed and had been for a considerable amount of time.
  7. Lol. Good thing I'm not there. Once I have a couple drinks in me I tend to make friends with everyone around me. They would have been target number one lol.
  8. Though I bet it would be really difficult, I'd love to see one 4D car on track. Like X2 for example.
  9. ^when I went they kept those rides closed even though it was nice weather. So don't keep your hopes up.
  10. I have to eat Panda Express every time I'm there. It's one of my personal favorites and we don't have any locally to go to. CP is the only place I can get my fix lol
  11. You locals can have your six flags magic mountain. Growing up there and loving it, it makes me so sad the condition it's in. To go visit for the first time in years and take someone special with me that I wanted to share the park I grew up with... we had all the same closures, and the cleanliness just isn't present. We had fun... but both agreed... never again. I looked on their site for ride closures and couldn't find them listed.
  12. I am still confused what the Banshee attraction will be. I have been thinking it's just a simulator similar to Soarin'. It sounds interesting if you're on a vehicle similar to Tron. I'm curious to see images or hear about what the experience is like. Edit... I did a google search for the attraction and I fully understand it now. Some interesting images. I'm hoping they do in fact have multiple theatres for this to allow for high capacity lol.
  13. Also make sure enough rides are open to warrant a platinum. We just went and Riddlers Revenge, Apocalypse, Superman, Tatsu, Full Throttle, and Green lantern were all closed. We were going to buy a platinum flash pass, but there was no warning these were all going to be closed especially with perfect weather. If half the park is going to be closed, it isn't worth wasting money on a platinum even if you don't get to go often, you'll have plenty of time to ride everything with a gold flash pass in that case. You should be fine to get two devices and split your groups up when necessary and then ride together when it comes time.
  14. I haven't tried El Toro yet, but it has long been on my list for when we finally hit the eastern parks. I have to admit, we just went to SFMM while visiting CA to see my family and we got to ride Twisted Colossus a couple of times. We both felt that El Toro was better lol. There is just something about El Toro that just had everything we wanted in a coaster and for us both, pretty much took place in our Top 5s, if not the number one spot. I absolutely love RMCs and am ecstatic to have one at CP. There is no doubt that whatever they are building is going to be epic, and definitely one of RMCs best.
  15. As long as maintenance and park cleanliness improves to match the other parks in the area, that's all I care about.
  16. It's just that time of year when they do annual maintenance, also construction. According to different blogs, here are the reasons for two of the ride closures: Tatsu - lift hill chain replacement Riddler's Revenge - Repaint with JL construction People fault MM for everything, even when they're doing required maintenance Though I wasn't specific, I don't blame the park for scheduled maintenance or for break downs, I do however try to plan my park trips accordingly and do check on ride closures in advance. Since nothing was scheduled, it did not at all appear to me that so many big attractions would be closed. As far as a new chain lift goes, why is it that other major parks care enough and spend the money to have replacement cables or chains on hand in case of needing replacements? Yet SFMM doesn't do the same troupe of proactive planning? They are reactive and that isn't right. Also, there is no excuse for a dirty park. Not even other six flags are as dirty as Magic Mountain; at least not the other six flags parks I've been to. I've seen what the park used to be, I even worked there back in '09. It has gone down hill and the employees are lazy now. They were standing around chatting with each other and bored. With the exception of twisted colossus and X2. Those two crews were doing great and hustling. Everyone else.... bad, lazy, and en embarrassment compared to what it used to be. It's clear to me that SFMM gets so much hate now because people saw what it was capable of, where it came from, how it used to be... it's really disappointing how bad it's gotten there, and how quickly it's declined. I don't fault anyone for hating on the park or calling it out on where it's lacking.... which is everywhere. Last thing to note is that the best part we had of the day was the full throttle bar and grill. Awesome food, awesome service.
  17. Just a heads up for anyone coming to the park today, the following rides are closed: Tatsu Full throttle The new revolution Superman Riddlers revenge Apocalypse I feel like this park declines literally more every time I come here. Embarrassed to have brought my partner here for his first time with half the park closed
  18. Check the weather before you go... It's supposed to rain all weekend. I've been watching it like a hawk. Only 10% chance today and it won't even be until 6pm. We originally were going to go on Sunday but the weather for Sunday was supposed to be horrible. I'm hoping most people will think it's going to be bad and not go to the park today lol.
  19. I just think that for the price the limitations shouldn't exist with the price. It's very expensive. However, the price becomes worth it when the limitations are lifted. I just can't help but feel it's a rip off. However, I would purchase the FP at SFGAdv every time I go. That was so worth the extra money to essentially have the run of the park. I also think that if they are going to ask people to pay an additional $15 for X2... that should grant unlimited rides. I could understand not allowing double rides... but it should really allow for full access.
  20. So this may be random, but we will be at The park Saturday. If anyone's there or also plans to be there shoot me a PM.
  21. For park food I'm always a sucker for any place that has Panda Express lol. Sooo gooood!!
  22. I really take issue with an adult using someone's child to cause hurt or to get back out of anger. It's not just the guy that was being quoted; if anyone did that I believe they have something wrong with them mentally. There are just lines you don't cross no matter how angry you are.
