I did buy one of the nano coasters for steel vengeance. Really like this one. I have all the available cedar point coasters.

Glad to see they are running SV today. I did see on Cedar Point's twitter that the ride is scheduled to be open today. Interesting they are handling it with boarding passes, but seems like the most organized way for them to deal with the situation.

Yeah, no. Wicked Twister and Maxair not being ready for the season is opening day jitters. Rides opening and closing a lot with small mechanical issues is opening day jitters. Having 2 trains plow into eachother with riders on board on your brand new ride causing visible damage to the trains and track is not "just opening day jitters". Having 2 coaster trains bump with riders on board on a beautiful sunny day is basically unheard of in modern times in the amusement industry. I'm sure they'll look into this further, but if it turns out that this wasn't operator error then this is pretty much unprecedented. That’s fair and I stand corrected.

It sounds like today is just not going to plan for the park. Wishing all the best for CP. I'm sure things will get ironed out. It's just opening day jitters.

Awesome - everything has 0 minute wait. I'm getting in the car right now. Oh, wait....same at King's Island. I think I broke it. lol, yea its not working for me either.

Let's hope things get worked out so it doesn't have so much downtime. It's going to be a horrendous wait on Saturday for opening day for sure with breakdown and whatnot.

It was packed during the last one I went to. Looked like a typical weekend day. I appreciate it. FastLane may be the way to go since they are offering it lol

I know it’s already been posted several times lol This crazy inversion/turn/confusion lol This element was one of my favorites!! Here we are with Blackjack, Chess, and Digger. I’m on the right between Blackjack and Digger. He was getting over his fear of costumed characters...lol Steel Vengeance looked so cool as the sun was setting! As you can see by this photo, everyone was either waiting for Steel Vengeance or food. No line at all most of the evening for Maverick! We rode three times! I just really liked this picture I took in the Maverick station. Trust me, I’m no photographer lol. As you can probably tell lol Here’s the trio again! The lighting just looked so cool with Maverick Millennium looking awesome! These coasters just look so cool at night! Valravn is definitely my favorite dive coaster!

Did they tell you why it was down? They said it was due to mechanical reasons. We did talk to some people on our way out that waited out the several breakdowns the ride had, and they waited about 3 hours this evening to ride. It’s just some opening jitters I’m sure. I doubt these breakdowns will continue like they were tonight. I’ll upload some photos shortly of the event!

Currently here for passholder preview and Steel Vengeance has been down for over an hour. We were lucky enough to get on the fourth train of the day out. The food has been great! And it’s perfect weather to grab a beer and walk around!

I did the Texas sky screamer and that was enough for me. If I had enough alcohol in me I’d probably ride it lol.

^That's right. I believe they can only honor that deal if you buy in park. I would make sure you get there early and buy your passes the second you get inside the park. A lot of the shops sell them so you don't need to find a designated kiosk. Usually the lines in the shops are quicker anyways to get your passes.

This makes me so happy that I got preview tickets. Lol

Even though the event is 6 hours and we only get one ride, I have a feeling there will be decent wait times for the coaster. Maybe that is just me? lol

Tickets are now live for the hoedown! Got mine reserved for Monday the 30th!!! We can't wait!

Absolutely! The free samples will be great, and I'm stoked for rides on Maverick and Skyhawk too!

You guys all ready to book your day for pass holder previews? What day is everyone going? Also, from what I understand, we are only granted one single ride on Steel Vengeance, is this correct?

I love how shiny and new the trains are. Looks great! I’d like to make an attempt at going opening weekend if possible! Better request it off ASAP! Lol
