awesome idea. it DOES already exist for BGW, WC, free parking at both, and Colonial Williamsburg, for 7 days from 1st use. I know, because we bought these. . they call them "bounce" tickets. Yea, but that's still missing KD. I think the main point here is for a ticket that includes both KD and BGW, with a couple other attractions/waterparks as a bonus.

^Yea, that makes sense. I'd be happy with a Spinning Coaster - they look like a ton of fun! I wonder how they'll theme it to fit in with Egypt?

So, now that we know its Mack, are we still thinking it's going to be a Mack Spinning Coaster? I wonder how big the "true" footprint is - it's hard to tell from the construction photos I've seen. That would definitely help narrow it down. Based on other Spinning Coasters I've seen, the footprint that I'm able to make out would fit one nicely. That said, I'm secretly hoping for something like Blue Fire, but the visible footprint doesn't look like it could fit something of that magnitude (and since they already have a launched with Cheetah Hunt...).

...If you've ever been in a conversation about car makes and referred to BMW as B&M. I've done that several times...

Cyclone, Lakeside Amusement Park

Kings Dominion and BGW at the end of August. I'll probably go to Elitch's and Lakeside before then - but, they're my local parks so they don't really count.

I wonder why the park has a limit of 200ft? Is that imposed by the city? Seems odd since Skyplex, at well over 500 ft, will be just down the street.

Hey guys! - I'm planning a trip to Kings Dominion and BGW during the week of Sunday, August 23 through Friday, August 28 (Sun and Fri will be travel days). After doing a little research, it looks like kids in VA don't go back to school until after Labor day, on Tuesday, Sept 2, so I'm scheduled to go down the week prior. Being that I'll be there the week before school starts, do you guys think both parks will be really busy? Has anyone been during this time frame before? Trying to decide if I should reschedule for after the kids are back in class. Many thanks in advance!! --Nathan

I have to agree - if I had one word to describe this entire project it would be 'sloppy'. I too hold Busch parks to a higher standard than most and this just feels uninspired/thrown together. I hate to be a Negative Nancy but this is how I feel. That said, there's not a thing any of us can do about it and I do plan to ride it when I visit this summer, I just wish they would have been more creative with the location.

Aww super sad I'm a new member (donkey?) also and have been checking the boards daily for info on upcoming trips. I should've looked in here sooner! That said - I totally understand - you guys definetely deserve some time off! Looking forward to these returning. For other new members - Just in case you missed it, there's another opportunity to meet other Club TPR members at Coastermania 2015, at Cedar Point. There's more info about it in the main Club TPR forum. I'm seriously considering going! I'm sure if other similar events occur, they'll be announced in the same forum.

Wow - it's been too long since I've been there! The last time I went, Tampa Typhoon was still there (my Mom used to call it "that slide that'll give you an enema") and Key West Rapids was the most popular slide. Glad to to see them making good use of this space.

Yep, you're right about that. When I had a season pass and used to go regularly, they only ever had big crowds when concerts were going on - but even then, when it was concert time, all the rides had virtually no lines.

Agreed! Probably just there to push it past the 6,000 Ft length because it's too big and meandering to really provide and good positive g's - a good helix should make your cheeks feel like they're gonna touch your thighs (Kumba anyone?)! On the flip - at least it doesn't have MCB (or in the case of many B&M's, "Nearly Over Breaks" lol).

I already posted this in another thread regarding another topic, but since it's Thursday, it only seemed appropriate to do a "Throwback Thursday" pic for this thread! So lets be honest, who remembers and/or has read this?!?!

I found The Beast at Kings Island to be the most disappointing for me. I think it was 2010 when I rode it, and this was after many years of build up and anticipation from a young age. Anyone remember R.L. Stynes "Goosbumps" series - that time he did an entire book based on the Beast? So yea.. I had high hopes. What a let down - It just seemed to meander along without the speed I'd envisioned and it was super rough (I think it was the heavy breaking during the first half that cemented my disappointment). Now that my expectations have been shattered, I think a re-ride in the future will prove more pleasurable.

Agreed - totally get your point. As enthusiasts, we're way more observant about these things (dare i say *critical* ha!) than the GP. In any respect, she sure is a beauty! It's really amazing to see parks outside of Disney and Universal put so much effort (and money) into theming. Seems pretty rare these days.
