  1. ^I don't think I'd relegate B&M's as coasters only the "GP could love". I think maybe I'm just a big softy for B&M's... or maybe I'm just not nearly as well traveled as some of you to know any better (probably the latter). Either way - I'm stoked for tomorrows announcement!
  2. ^Good thought about the crane - I bet you're right. I too would like to express my excitement about tomorrows announcement!! Also, why all the B&M hate?!?! I know they're no longer the *most* innovative but their rides are always solid and enjoyable - are we really that jaded? I for one will be happy with whatever they announce.
  3. Cool article - glad to here that Gwazi may be getting a second life Thanks for posting jedimaster1227
  4. It's coming along! The "BehemothBOWL" element has been installed.
  5. Python, BGT. I loved it as a kid and was pretty sad when they gave it the ax.
  6. Hmmm - a dueling Mack Spinner, is that in the cards?!?
  7. Something in the vein of Expedition GeForce
  8. I previously hypothesized about a Cobra theme, but I doubted my suspicions I shall trust my gut next time! In any respect, new Mack Spinner!! Can't wait to ride it next time I visit
  9. ^Oh yea? I'd be down for a launched wing coaster!! Don't know how I'd feel about another GateKeeper but hey, at the end of the day, it's gonna be a welcomed addition regardless.
  10. I have such a soft spot for Stanley Falls!! I love old school flume rides, and the foliage around this one is beautiful. I'd much rather see Tidal Wave go - the half assed theming on the river portion is not representative of the brand. That said, if they decided to knock the flume down for an Aquatrax or a Mack water-anything - I wouldn't complain! I water coaster would be nice. I agree Tidal Wave can go. I also think Tidal Wave's location is better for a new coaster instead of right next to Montu and Cheetah Hunt. Python was in that area before and it would put a little space between the water rides, but it's nothing I'm expecting to see. Behold Tut's Fury, the first launched spinning coaster I feel like if they knocked Tidal Wave down, they should replace it with another water attraction. Point being, Florida get's so friggin HOT in the summer and the lines for the existing lines get sooooo long. The more ways to cool off, the better. Also, reducing the water attraction line up from 3 to 2 will just make the lines for the remaining 2 that much longer. Also, +1 on a launched spinning coaster!!
  11. Screamscape shared an interesting video that discusses the possible removal of Shockwave to make room for a new B&M and park entrance for 2016/2017: screamscape.com/html/kings_dominion.htm
  12. ^^Many thanks for sharing! Very cool story
  13. SMH, sounds like a bunch of uneducated drama filled tweens.
  14. Then wouldn't it not be a true hyper coaster? Not necessarily - the structure of Apollo's Chariot tops out at 170ft but the ravine it dives into gives it a 210 foot drop so it's considered a hyper. Alternatively, Goliath at SFOG is 200 ft tall but only has a 170ft drop and it's still considered a hyper. So, I think the fact that the structure reaches 201ft absolutely makes it a hyper. Also, it may go underground to make the drop 200ft +.
  15. Took a stroll along the Platte on my lunch break today and spotted vertical construction for Slidezilla. As soon as this rain calms down, they should have it up pretty quickly.
  16. CNN's agenda is to sell Blackfish DVD's. What? Everything they do is to make money? What a crazy idea. Glad to see everything is moving forward, though. Even if it ends up being a B&M still happy to see a hyper coaster in Orlando. And in Florida in general!

  18. I think it's possible, but not this time around for this area of the park. I could see them scrapping Tidal Wave at some point and putting a more innovative water attraction in it's place.
  19. Scarabs would be a plausible theme. My mind also wandered to a Cobra theme, but after thinking on it for a few seconds...I highly doubt it. I think it would be really cool if they built mock pyramids and had the course interact heavily with that.
  20. Yea - the "actual" height is required for official filings, so I think it's safe to say that the track will top out at around 198 with the structure reaching a max of 201.
  21. ^ My bad - I failed to realize BGW & KD had something in the works already (should've read a bit further back). Now that I see they're officially announcing something tomorrow, I hope they do retroactively add KD to your combo pass.
