  1. WoF's entire staff lineup this year is pretty awful. Detonator is slower than ever, most often Mamba and Patriot run a single train, and they are so understaffed it is rediculous. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to find an open DRINK stall. I know I make it obvious I am from KC, but I contribute what I can
  2. So you are aware, the Breakers Express pool is only 4 foot deep max and the ice machine on the third floor was broken when we went. It's a decent hotel, but not a wonderful one. You can't beat the theme park though
  3. I love how different we all see credits yet we find common ground in just loving the rides lol
  4. I'm very sad I won't be able to go this year. I've gone at least twice the past 4 I imagine no other park will compare because of how high WoF sets the bar. They might do a lot of things wrong, but Halloween is one thing worlds of fun does all too right.
  5. I don't know if this means anything, but on fun TV the other day at Cedar Point there was a trivia question something like "which kind of ride will cedar point add in 2017?". The answers were "rollercoaster", "thrill ride", "family ride", and "other". I waited for the answer, and it was "other". So would that mean dark ride, or general improvement year...? Perhaps just mean streak getting revamped or something? I literally have no idea I'm just curious to see what you all think.
  6. Okay, so obviously any rollercoaster that just exists how it is counts as a credit, but do RMC'd rides (New Texas Giant, for example), or Larson super loops count? And if you've ridden more than one Vekoma boomerang, do they count as different coasters even though they are the exact same thing? How does that work for clones in general, like the Tempesto duplications? ANDDDD what about things like pipe scream at CP that aren't roller coasters but technically they are? And for racing rides, do both sides count as a single coaster or does each side count as its own credit? I'm sure there are examples I'm missing, but I couldn't find a thread to talk about things like this. I think most of these are going to be personal opinions, but I'm curious to see what everyone thinks.
  7. Worlds of fun built a 10 million dollar drop slide complex in 2013 and added the dinos So. It's hard to complain when MiA hasn't gotten a completely new coaster in what, 14 years or something crazy like that?
  8. Honestly, this announcement made me smile. Worlds of Fun is at least getting something this year. It might not be an insane coaster or thrill ride, but there is hope. I'm glad we are getting something because part of me wondered if it would be another general maintenance year. I'm sure there will be a coaster on the way in the next 3 years.
  9. WTF why would they move the entrance FARTHER to the East adding space between the main parking lot and the entrance?!?Seriously management what the heck It would seem that if they are going to keep the entrance in the terrible spot it is, they should just rebuild it, not move it to a worse location. SMH.
  10. And this was confirmed by the park right? Oh wait it wasn't. Just you. I swear to God people love to keep stirring the pot. Stop making stuff up when you know just as much as the rest of us. the forums are crazy these past few days
  11. The name of the coaster is Valravn, so perhaps they are thinking about retheming because ravens are supposed to bring, you know, death. This is the most ridiculous situation, and the Roller Coaster Capital of the World doesn't need this. So so so so so frustrating.
  12. I believe it is when two trains collided at the break run because the tracks were too wet
  13. Valravn won't have any virtual reality components. The company is adding it to an already existing ride, at least to my understanding.
  14. I thought CF stated there wouldn't be any triotechs this coming year? It also says "digital experience", so perhaps that is in relation with the new virtual reality thing the chain is trying out? Also here is the link that chart is from: http://ir.cedarfair.com/files/doc_presentations/2015/150811-CP-Analyst-Day-Presentation_PRINT.pdf
  15. Random question, why does Millenium Force have two holes in the front of each train?
  16. WoF spent $10 million on OOF in 2013. Steelhawk cost WOF $250K. In the grand scheme of things, let's just hope MiA gets something. Then there will be hope!
  17. They will Rocky Mountain It. That seems like the obvious answer nowadays
  18. Everyone seems to have some degree of disappointment about this coaster, but honestly?! How would any new ride look with Lightning Rod being announced literally days ago? Dollywood raised the bar higher than we can expect any B&M coaster to beat. B&M is still kicking @ss, but we now have these I N S A N E RMCs to compare everything to. If this Valravn leak is true, Cedar Point has an outstanding new attraction on their hands. Keep in mind though that if this had been built instead of Gatekeeper a few years back, nobody would have been disappointed. In 2013, we would all be screaming about how this is perfect for the roller coaster capital of the world. It will be very interesting to see how much one new company can change the pace of the entire industry... I'm so excited for the coming years of roller coaster additions. RMC has shown up completely out of left field, and the already well established firms now have some competition on their hands... Perhaps another "coaster war" but instead of parks, we will watch manufacturers try and claw their way to the top. Look already how we as enthusiasts have been affected- we see this amazing new coaster as sub-par, and I'd bet most can see that RMC is the sole reason for that. It's not that B&M has stopped innovating, it's just that our friends at Rocky Mountain Construction are doing it faster and stealing the spotlight. Sit back, and grab your popcorn.
  19. It is very odd that the app is available (sort-of) on the google play store only. From a business standpoint, wouldn't it make more sense to offer the app through itunes? Perhaps this is an accident and the app was going to be released on all platforms at once.
  20. A big game hunting ride is never a good idea for a family theme park! Western Missouri isn't a bunch of hoodlums, I think that a ride themed that way would actually go very badly!
  21. Hey so I'm pretty sure the Zulu is over with...I don't remember where, but I heard something about the hydrolic lift breaking. Since HUSS is not the same company it once was, the part they need is no longer in production. I guess there was a digger tearing down some of the fencing around the ride, and Zulu hasn't been open in weeks. Because less rides is what needs to happen...
