  1. Good point. Last year they shut down Hades360 before the season was over. If I remember correctly it was in early October. I would recommend calling first as mentioned.
  2. Yepper. They will try to get you with the $20 parking each time. I'll be dropping people off and parking down the road. Might bring a small bike / skateboard.
  3. They are selling their summer passes right now for $10.00. Valid from Memorial Day to Labor Day 2016.
  4. I rode Hellcat in Wisconsin Dells ( 30 ) times in 2014. If they continue with the unlimited rides bracelet next year I'll try for ( 50 ) rides in a day. Ride becomes painful at around 20. Man up!
  5. Hades360 is down for the rest of the season. (excuse me if this has already been said) They had their other three coasters running. I went Saturday from 6 pm to 8 pm and then on Sunday from 10 am to 11 am. ( 19 ) rides total. They were all walk on. We stayed at a "cabin" across the street. I think it was well worth the $70 we paid.
  6. Saturday/Sunday admission for ( 4 ) people + cabin with queen sized bed and double bunk bed for $69.59 after taxes. Now that's what is called value. Can't wait
  7. Parking is $20 per vehicle. Don't let the $10.00 entrance tickets fool you. Good luck on finding free parking close enough to walking distance to Mount Olympus.
  8. Manticore. Saw it today in person, yeah. THERE WAS NO MANTICORE ANYWHERE TO BE FOUND! Damn him. He probably got distracted by the unicorn.
  9. I don't know, but I found your question interesting as I was there today. I arrived at 6 p.m. and had to wait about 20 minutes to get out of my vehicle because it was raining so hard. The employee to patron ratio was about 5 to 1. The rollercoasters were not running. Tomorrow will be a better day.
  10. I rode Meteor today. The ride operator is very entertaining. Re-rides at least 2x sometimes 3x. Fun day. Great park for kids!
  11. The park closed today at 03:00 p.m. We arrived at 10:30 a.m. There were no lines for The Raven or The Voyage. We could sit where we wanted. Awesome. We went to Thunderbird. No wait. Get off, go through line, hop on weeeee. I kept telling my cousin that I could not understand how there were no lines for Thunderbird considering it's new this year and it was opening day. It was sprinkling a little at first. At first Thunderbird wasn't running, but it was very soon after it stopped sprinkling. The Voyage was down until 05:20 p.m. We happened to be walking by it when we saw an empty train rushing through the course. We got on the second train. How dare they make us wait? Then we got back in line and after waiting just for 2 groups in front of us we were on the third train. Awesome. We will be going back tomorrow again If you get on Thunderbird ride in the front. The front is by far the best seat in the house. You feel like you are flying.
  12. I'll be at Holiday World with the daughter and friends Saturday 04/25/2015!
  13. I went to St. Louis Six Flags yesterday. The park was packed. Ninja was down and The Boss was initially down. There is new wood on The Boss. I rode it once sitting in the back row. When I rode The Boss last year I said I would never ride it again as it was too rough. When I found out some new wood had been layed I gave it a shot. I have done a complete 180. The Boss rode great yesterday. When I got off I was so amazed I told all my friends, "I think this is the best wooden coaster I have ever been on". Four drops of 150',112',103',and 72'. Me likey. We had an epic 2 1/2 hour wait for Batman. Never again. SFSTL Batman > SFGA Batman. A lot of line jumpers. Some people evidently got into a fight at Superman. I saw them leaving on their way out. We had a few people line jump us. It wasn't worth the grief of getting into an argument. SFGA has signs up and a phone number you can call for line jumpers. St. Louis should consider doing the same. An older security guard offered to help us take a photo without us asking him. I wanted to get his name and tell his boss, but we were short on time. The Six Flags St. Louis staff is very friendly. The park is clean.
  14. I've only seen Indiana Beach's firework display. I was there last year on July 4th. Thousands upon thousands fill up their boardwalk. My friend and I were fortunate enough to be on Hurricane Hoosier as they began the fireworks. They were packed, but hardly anybody was interested in riding. I must say that was probably my best roller coaster moment so far.
  15. SFSTL is scheduled to open on 04/03/2015. Although there is so much variance that applies to this question I have to ask it. How busy does SFSTL get on opening day/weekend? I went last year in late June and the lines were very short. NOTHING like my home SF park SFGA. I just want to get an idea if it's worth it to drive nearly 6 hours to SFSTL on opening weekend or not. Has anybody here every gone on opening day to SFSTL? If so please describe the experience
  16. Shockwave @ SFGA being replaced by Superman. This is a selfish response as I prefer Shockwave over Superman. However, I understand that Shockwave's attendance was way down and it's maintenance cost was high. Now if you ask me for the best ride replacement I would say Goliath replacing Iron Wolf. Those stand up coasters do a number on the old testicles.
  17. Great ideas. Or maybe check out Mt. Olympus and Timberfalls Adventure Theme Park in Wisconsin Dells???
  18. I would recommend purchasing a flash pass if you truly want to enjoy your SFGA experience in one day. During the Summer, even on a weekday, SFGA will be very busy. I haven't gone to Little Amerricka, but my family has and as mentioned by a previous poster I've heard it's a 2-3 hour experience at most. Bay Beach Amusement Park is an awesome city owned theme park with an excellent wooden roller coaster (Zippin Pippin) that costs $1 per ride. If you have younger children I believe your day will last longer as they have many flat rides geared towards younger children. The line are generally very short for Zippin Pippin. I live ( 3 ) hours away and I will find it hard to justify heading out there this year, but I'm sure I'll do it at least once .
  19. Goliath @ SFGA. The first drop is awesome. How is this even called a wooden roller coaster?
