Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
Themeparkceo replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Looks awesome! The sensation from a drop like that already makes me tingle Now I'll really have to go to Holiday World! -
It is a "good" idea for tourists in the busy season; but that's about the only people it will benefit in that time. Any other time, the ride's lines (if any) is really quick, especially Kraken; and you can still get a good spot for the shows. I personally think they're copying Universal's Express Plus ticket to get some extra 'dough'.

It's amazing how such good looking little parks are rarely heard of! I would love to go to this park now that I've seen these great pictures.

Thanks for your opinions everybody! It helps a lot mcjaco - I don't think I'm spamming. I'm not sending or telling people to go anywhere. I want people to reply right here in the forums. That's just my signature at the bottom. I don't want to break any rules.

New thread on Orlando's Best Ride --> http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45536 -
I'm doing this survey because I'm going to make a video showing off the best Orlando has to offer, in HD! The polls will close as soon as I have a solid top 10 (ten). The rides can be from any of the following parks: -Magic Kingdom -Epcot -Hollywood Studios -Animal Kingdom -Islands of Adventure -Universal Studios -Sea World -Busch Gardens Which do you think is the BEST ride? THANKS!

In the ride's defense, it was AWESOME! I rode it yesterday three times and had a blast. The 3-D screens are actualy really well done and realistic and entertaining. Never a dull moment. I was surprised as well, though, when I finally saw what it was, BUT it was a pleasant surprise and still soo much fun. Better than Buzz Lightyear and Men In Black for sure!

In one of the pictures it shows some pretty fun 'bunny hops'! Air time heaven! Anyone know how much zero-G time the coaster has? -

90 degrees or not, it still looks and sounds awesome. It would be cool if inside the volcano you would see "lava", and if it heated inside also, so that when you come out and splash down, it feels more refreshing! -
I personally like this park a lot. Not only for its great theming, and not because it's a Disney park, but I genuinely like the rides. To be honest, it's been a while since I've been there, but still remember the slides, especially Summit Plummet (the really tall body slide). That was an amazing rush that no other water park offers. Typhoon Lagoon, Wet n' Wild, nor the new Aquatica water parks have a ride like that that's that tall. I definitely recommend it!

I'm really happy to see the old color scheme of pink and yellow go! I think those are terrible and ugly colors to put together. Red and black looks a lot stonger and better for a big-time coaster. And, is it me, or do the new trains look a bit unfinished? It is not as covered-up as the old trains. Still looks good though!

Wet N' Wild Orlando

Completely agree with what has been said (Elissa and Jew). But I don't believe it is going to close because there is always people there! It is in a perfect location for tourists; and the locals, at least the younger crowd, always goes there, not to a Disney waterpark. The park itself, in my opinion, is a pretty good and fun park. I only wonder how it is going to stand up against Aquatica! That should be interesting. -

^ Completely agree! I would love to go through those curves at high speeds. It looks very smooth and fast. Reminds me of Maverick at Cedar Point. -

^ Maybe they can implement a Mickey voice-over in the DS. Anythings' possible! (That is actually an excellent idea! Along with all the info, have fun facts about the attractions, with Mickey reading them out too you ) -

^ I have the Canon Rebel XT, and it works perfect. I'm very happy with it. I just have to play with the settings in order to get a shot like rabid disney's Illumination's shot.
