^That hard plastic headrest. The night I rode it my head slammed into the headrest coming over one of the airtime hills.

The Friday nights in September last year were incredible. My friends and I went two weeks in a row because with the minimal crowds, it felt like we had the park to ourselves. I'm leery of even returning again this season. I probably will, but I don't feel like dealing with FF and overcrowding.

Sounds like a lofty goal, but it seems to me that you're underestimating just how draining long distance driving can be.

I'd rather a new coaster in 2016, but if those dark rides are a hit in OT and StL then I'd be all for one.

^THIS. Stand-up's should be phased out and retired permanently, not relocated. They're painful and gimmicky. I could see why they had appeal in the early 1990s but their time has come and gone.

^Uh-oh, I really hope that doesn't mean what I think it does. If a hand-me-down stand-up ends up being Dorney's 2015, I see no reason of returning there. Which is a shame because it's a nice park.

I agree with you in both respects but it's a gimmick I'd really like to try.

It's really pretty every day. It may have taken far too long to rebuild, but they did an excellent job. Nice pic. Looking forward to the GAdv portion.

Yea, I fear this is the most likely culprit as well.

Does anyone know why the park didn't announce running B:TR backwards for next year, like some of their clues indicated? Did they get cold feet and back out or are they waiting until a later date to announce? Given the lameness of the Super Loop, I was really looking forward to Namtab.

New York: Coney Island Cyclone New Jersey: El Toro Massachusetts: Bizarro Pennsylvania: Talon Florida: Expedition Everest Headed to California in October. I anticipate Xcelerator will be my favourite coaster from that state, but we shall see.

Looks great. Can't wait to get back up there next year to ride my first RMC.

WTF? Where's the announcement for Namtab?

I just hope this means they're going to literally "GO BIG" with a real roller coaster in 2016. I mean, really? The Batman gimmick and an off-the-shelf carnival ride are the only additions for next year? Hopefully the money they're saving this off-season goes towards infrastructure improvements. Maybe they can finally bulldoze the paintball building and eliminate one of the worst dead ends in the park.

GASM at GAdv. I get to ride its sister in October, but I'd give almost anything to take one last spin on the coaster that pulled Great Adventure back from the brink.

That's exactly why it is a mistake. GAdv assumed NJ would allow them to run both rides simultaneously. They should have done their homework some more, before rushing to slap the ride onto KK and then fighting with the state to get it open.

I was talking about this before. Zumanjaro is a great ride, but its addition was a mistake. A free standing drop tower would have been wiser, but this is Six Flags; of course they didn't make the wise choice. As to personal preference, I too prefer Zumanjaro to Kingda Ka.

^If your friend is afraid of big rides, then GAdv isn't the park for him. As for crowds, it depends in what time of day you're going. From opening til about 3:30 the park will be manageable, but crowded, with the crowds starting to thin out around 4-4:30.

Any word as to why Zumanjaro has been down? Hopefully it isn't for the rest of the year; I've skipped riding it the past couple of times at the park so I'm itching to get my fix.

The park might be overdue for a coaster, but it's in need of so much more than just one ride. The park needs flats, infrastructure updates, more entertainment options, etc., that they could wait another 2-3 years before adding a coaster. Their coaster line-up as is is pretty solid, so the only way I can see us getting a new one is if another one gets taken down in its place.
