  1. Wow a Toy Story Land, with a coaster! This is awesome!
  2. Hell yes. This is exactly the shot in the arm the Studios needs.
  3. Fair point. Even if it is a bit crowded, I probably won't stray too far away from the Hollow to ensure I get multiple laps.
  4. Just confirmed with my uncle that we will indeed be doing the preview tomorrow night. I plan on making a bee line straight to this so called magical back row, left wing seat on Skyrush. Now I'm just counting down the seconds until I'm there.
  5. True, but that is this year. There's no guarantee that Holiday in the Park will be successful. As nice as it seems on paper, if there is another cold winter up here the event could be a bust, and the park could end up abandoning the idea.
  6. ^ Yeah, the more I look at it, the more obvious it becomes that it's fake.
  7. So according to people over at GAH, it's the long rumoured hotel Great Adventure has wanted. I think it's bunk, because it makes no sense whatsoever to build a year-round hotel within a seasonal park.
  8. So, instead of a ride, they're potentially adding...apartment buildings? I mean, that's probably bogus, but WTF?
  9. ^Trust me, I've been lobbying for the preview hard for the past few days. Last I spoke to my uncle he was open to the idea, but he'd be doing the driving so he has final say. Hopefully I'm persuasive enough.
  10. Mmm, all this gushing about Skyrush just makes me even more excited for Monday (or Sunday, if I can convince my uncle to take advantage of the preview plan.) Can't wait!
  11. I remember enjoying Wildcat a lot the last time I visited Hershey back in 2008. It'll be interesting to see how it holds up when I visit Monday. I wasn't into coasters then, so I'm curious as to how the ride holds up now that I'll be looking at it from an enthusiast perspective.
  12. Either Trailblazer at Hershey, Runaway Mine Train at Great Adventure, or WDW's Big Thunder Mountain. Really can't remember.
  13. Steel "Force" is the only coaster where I was able to have a conversation during the ride. At one point I was turning around to speak to my friends, totally ignoring the ride experience. I can see why it appeals to the GP, but for me, it's very mediocre.
  14. Recorded both episodes last night on my DVR. Plan on watching them as soon as I get home from work this afternoon.
  15. Going to make my triumphant return here on Monday. What should I expect in terms of crowds? Plan on getting there at opening, and will presumably be there all day. Will I be able to get every coaster in? My priority, needless to say, is Skyrush, but want to hit everything at least once with re-rides as necessary.
  16. Stale, bland, generic, etc. are all good adjectives to describe Dorney, imo. I have a lot of fun when I visit too because yes, no waits is awesome. But the park still seems stuck a decade behind other parks in the region. All I'm saying is it needs a new custom headliner to give the place a shot in the arm.
  17. Short lines are nice, but the park is stale. I'd rather wait a half hour for something new than have a station wait for the same bland rides over and over again.
  18. ^It just surprises me that they don't at least try anymore. In the early 2000s it certainly seemed like they were, with additions like Talon and Hydra, but they stopped adding custom rides after that. While that's probably due to CF acquiring Paramount, you'd think they'd still want to give their park in one of the largest markets in the country something besides relocations. Both GAdv and Hershey are in the top 20 for US park attendance; a few new additions to Dorney and they possibly could join that list as well. But admittedly this is extremely wishful thinking.
  19. So no rumours about what could be coming to Dorney for next year? Just about lap bars? I wonder if CF will attempt to try to have Dorney compete with GAdv and Hershey again in the near future. Because they certainly aren't now. And that's a shame, because Dorney is such a nice place and deserves a new headliner.
  20. I think it's pretty much guaranteed to be the 4D, because that's been the only rumour that has stuck around for over a year now. A reported RMC that interacted with the lake was shot down quickly. Another rumour of dueling Premier launch coasters also died out almost immediately. But this 4D rumour has been around since almost immediately after Zumanjaro opened.
  21. ^Not directed at anyone specifically, just a general observation. I also would prefer a Premier launch. Full.Throttle. was awesome, and I'd love to have something like it (or a direct clone of it) at GAdv. But I also am excited for the potential of a 4D. I know it's a different manufacturer, but if this 4D rides similarly to Green Lantern at SFMM, then the park is getting a great ride.
  22. I just can't buy the argument that the park shouldn't get the S&S 4D because of capacity. So what if this ride has a smaller output than some other coasters, the park already has five people eaters with their B&M collection. It's also funny that people then suggest something like a Premier launch akin to Full.Throttle., which also has terrible capacity. Just can't please everyone, I guess.
  23. Extremely unlikely. And where have you seen this mentioned before? I saw it in a different forum not on this site. I also saw it on social media and in a youtube video. Ah, gotcha. I wouldn't put much stock into it, but I'd welcome a blitz with open arms.
  24. Extremely unlikely. And where have you seen this mentioned before?
  25. In one of the recent surveys the park sent out, one of the proposed rides was something like this. Could be in the works for the near future.
