  1. Perhaps the guard was in on it/one of the people seen on the security footage?
  2. ^ Now I know trespassing is bad, and these guys could have killed themselves, but that's actually pretty cool in its own stupid way.
  3. ^ Cuda Falls is all that guy has, it seems. SF GAdv: 2017: Justice League 2018: RMC T-Rex in old Chiller spot 2019: new parking lot 2020: removal of Bizarro 2021: B&M Dive Machine in Bizarro's old spot
  4. Did you even bother reading the last 2-3 pages of the thread?
  5. ^^ No, Great Adventure does not get 20 million visitors a year. Great Adventure doesn't even get 3 million a year. It's the second option.
  6. Screamsource is just a kid on instagram who makes stuff up as he goes along. He once said GAdv gets 20 million visitors a year, so take anything he says with an enormous grain of salt.
  7. All six US Disney Parks Knotts Berry Farm SFMM SFGAdv SFNE Dorney Park Hersheypark Dutch Wonderland Lake Compounce IoA SeaWorld Orlando Coney Island (Luna Park) Adventureland (Long Island) Rye Playland
  8. In other news, residents of Jackson are really against the park going forward with their solar panel plan. http://www.nj.com/ocean/index.ssf/2016/02/six_flags_great_adventures_controversial_solar_pro.html
  9. You'll get no argument from me that Six Flags and incompetence go hand in hand, but I don't think that is the case with why they open their rides late. I truly think it's to sell season passes. If anything, I feel the fact that Joker has already gone vertical refutes charges of management being incompetent, but what do I know? Maybe they are bumbling fools, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for this. If Joker gets bungled like Zumanjaro did, I'll eat my words.
  10. It's definitely accurate; they don't even try and hide it. You go to the park early in the season and you hear the announcements all day "upgrade today's admission to a season pass and come back to ride (new attraction)."
  11. ^ It's their rationale, not mine. And how are they promoting something they "know" won't be running? They never give a specific date, just 'Spring' or 'Summer'.
  12. It's all just a marketing campaign. Of course the ride could open with the park, but that isn't best for business. They'd rather you visit the park early, see the new attraction being installed and buy a season pass to go back when it's finished. I think the last new addition to open with the park was Nitro. That was 15 years ago.
  13. My safe guess is that it is Twister. My outlandish guess is that they're removing the old Batman arena to begin construction on the dueling T-Rex. EDIT: NEVERMIND. It's obvious (to me): Sim building and go-karts being removed for Justice League.
  14. ^Same here. My family and friends know I'm a coaster person so I've been getting that same question this week. They're shocked when I tell them I've known about it since September.
  15. ^Those coaster instagram accounts are the worst. I saw one the other day that said Great Adventure gets 20 millions visitors a year!
  16. Yea, I'd say the most likely 2017 addition is Battle for Metropolis in the old sim building in Boardwalk.
  17. Excellent point. Say what you will about the theme being out of place for the ride's location within the park, but it certainly fits the nature of the ride. I was excited for this ride anyway, but for some reason this re-theme has me so much more gung-ho about it.
  18. ^ Woof, I totally whiffed on that. Probably because it will always be Medusa to me. Same here. He's such a great and interesting character. I'll never complain about anything DC related if Joker is involved.
  19. I'm basically just going to echo my post from last night, but I like the change. The green and purple looks great, and I like the theme. The ship sailed on Great Adventure keeping their areas with a cohesive theme a long time ago, so I don't mind having a Joker ride plopped down in Lakefront. And I'm glad the park has another ride themed to a villian. Bonus points for it being the greatest villian in comic history. I personally can't wait to ride. I just hope all of you complaining over silly things stay home so the line is shorter.
  20. Probably in the minority here, but that purple and green looks a hell of a lot better than the ketchup and mustard originally shown. Also, two straight years GAdv has changed the name of their new addition, that's pretty interesting.
  21. Edit: My post pretty much echoed KBrylzyck's, so just disregard me.
  22. Doesn't bother me. There are worse IP's out there to theme park sections and rides to.
  23. Orange and black? The rendering had it as red and yellow.
